Where do I find the RUU? - HD7 General

I used to own the HD2, and from memory I could download the new firmware from HTC's website from the support section.
And I noticed I can't find them anymore.
I recently purchased a HD7 and wanted to find out where do you guys / gals find the RUU firmwares from?

[Q] Incredible S English Firmware

Hi there!
I am looking for an official English firmware (UK) of the Incredible S. Can anyone guide me on that? I have an unbranded version. I came across a HongKong firmware in one of the threads but unfortunately i am unable to download it. Also I tried the Canada version but no go!
Thanks very much!
Goto the general section.... This is Development section....
Maybe people are willing to help you there.
I'm also looking for a European version.
I think it's kinda strange that there are so many shipped roms for the desire-s already which has only been released a few days ago and for the IS there are only about 3 roms?
I also wonder what HTC is thinking.. where would you get any official updates if your carrier provider doesn't support the IS and you bought it at a retail store.
Or do they provide fw downloads on their website usually? Didn't find any... but maybe I'm blind.

[Q] Which RUU to install for upgrading my HKG Froyo to Gingerbread?

Hi, I've read a lot of threads in the last hours and searched extensively but couldn't find the answer to my specific question:
How do I know which one of the RUUs out of this thread to install? I'm not looking for any fancy ROMs but just the (possibly stock) upgrade to 2.3.
I have an Incredible S, S-OFF via AlpharevX with Clockworkmod Recovery on it. The OS is still the stock Android 2.2.1, 20.23.30.0802U_38.02.1.11_M, 1.37.708.2
I bought the device in Hong Kong and have been waiting for the OTA to Gingerbread for months now (regularly checking manually) without any luck.
Thanks for your help and let me know if you need more info or if I missed anything.

For clean stock ROM, you can flash RUU_Vivo_Gingerbread_S_Virgin_Mobile_AU_2.12.981.2 _R_Radio_20.2803.30.085AU_3805.04.03.12_M_release_ 185029_signed. But actually Android Revoluation HD is a very good tweaked custom ROM based on stock ROM so I don't know why you should not try it.
Just a reminder, to flash the RUU, you need to extract the rom.zip from the exe and flash it with a gold card. There should be plenty of instructions on how to do it in the development forum.
Yes, I saw several tutorials for that.
But that also means that there is no RUU/update.zip out there for my exact version of Froyo? Because otherwise I wouldn't need the Gold Card, right?
Where and how could I find such a version?

I too can't find any Hong Kong RUU from xda or xda.cn. I guess these are our only options.

I almost can't believe that since both HTC and buying stuff in HKG is pretty popular. But I guess that's where we're stuck for now unless one of us starts reading Chinese...

[Q] Android update (from 1.6) -help to a noob))

Hello!I buyed HTC Dream G1 on ebay with installed Android 1.6 (DONUT) on it. I heard that now there are android versions 2.x and i need to have so versions to install most of apps. Please, write my some instructions what should i do to update my device. (1...,2...)I have seen a lots of modifications of roms in your forum but i don't understand nothing about this.
Also I should add : I live in eastern europe (bulgaria) /because i heard that there re some US roms or.../
p.s. i'm so nooby because i migrate from windows mobile phone 6.0 ))
There are many, many posts here on getting 'root' on your phone to allow updates to custom ROMs, though many are geared toward US or UK phones, so it would help to know what carrier your phone is from originally.
Another new user just asked a very similar question, and there are a few links you can check from that thread.
From what I've seen, if you don't have a US or UK phone, you'll probably want to search these forums for "G1 one click root", "exploid" or "goldcard".
And congratulations on your upgrade away from Windows Mobile.

Im also looking for Telstra RUU.
I have looked everywhere, contacted telstra via crowd support emailed HTC and HTCdev it seems no one will release it.
If you do find it let me know!!
Cheers
Still looking for this RUU.
I have tried HTC with no luck. Although on the developers site they do have the source code available for this version. Does anyone know how, or if , you can create the RUU from this?
Haven't tested it yet but this page seems to have the original Telstra RUU files for the HTC One M7

[Q] HTC One Rogers 4.3 ROM

Hey all!
I'm a new poster to the forums, but I've been lurking since 2010 with my Xperia X10 (rooted) as my first phone, moving onto the Acer Liquid MT (rooted, was a pain to do so however) and then to the HTC One.
I recently rooted my One. The issue I have at this moment however, is that now that the OTA for 4.3 including Sense 5 is available, I cannot install it, due to the rooted and unlocked BL on the phone. I do know how to relock the BL using fastboot, but I cannot find the appropriate RUU for the Rogers 4.1 ROM.
There are a few things I'm going to be asking for here, just out of curiousity.
First, does anyone have the Rogers RUU for the HTC One? I went onto the dev site, and unfortunately, there is no RUU file found
However, I did find the CRCs for both Rogers versions.
Secondly, lets say I just flash an International ROM onto my Canadian device, will I still be able to use the carrier I am with (Rogers).
Thirdly, if anyone knows of a Google Play Edition ROM for the One that has functional Zoe features, that'd probably solve all of my current minute post-rooting woes.
Much thanks!
m0nte.:fingers-crossed:
This should be posted in Q&A since this is a question. Not the general section..
