Batter Percentage

How can I get the battery percentage in the notification bar?
Some themes have it.
Sent from my StupidFast Fascinate
ya, either use a theme that has it if you like one, or replace the edited xmls from a theme that has it into your own framework and add the images that correspond to it.

The latter is a little unnecessarily elaborate.
Circle battery with %:
DI01
DJ05
nothing is too elaborate! NOTHING!

+1 for explaining the how of it. Its exactly how this forum is supposed to work. The XDA mission is to provide a place where you can learn to do it yourself, not just get someone to link you the 1 click fix that you need.

I actually like yours more. I only want a purely accurate battery mod. Don't want the shutdown menus or the lockscreens or anything else.
Thanks for the great job.
For those who would like to customize the graphics, you can try the UOT Kitchen http://uot.dakra.lt and cook your own version. You'll have to upload the framework-res.apk from your phone, though..

Well, the puzzle lock works good enough.. and reboot options make the power menus too long, and I don't really need to boot into recovery or restart my phone that often.. No need to have more float than what I need...

I can't live without the 4-tab lock screen any longer. Already did the six lockscreen flash.
...and the widget picker
While I haven't done it with EC01 I added the SC widget picker to an AOSP ROM so can't see an reason it wouldn't work with EC01 ROM.
I'll do it later and report back.
==============================
Update: I just flashed the accurate battery mod from the OP and I'm in bootloop. I'm on EC01 ROM and Kernel with six lockscreen mod flashed. No Mod's other than that. I flashed Battery Mod by wipe/wipe (no reset) and flashed the normal way.
Pulling the battery did not help (it broke me out but right back into bootloop)
I'll figure out a solution but any ideas why it happened?
Update2: Reflashing six lockscreen fixed the problem. (and reset my wallpaper and widgets).
Anyway Im getting to where I want by downloading the six lockscreen that includes the accurate battery mod.
yeah widget picker works on any rom/setup

Rockin some Widget Picker love.
For those who might want to do it. Simply get a copy of SC 2.9.2 and open up the zip file and find appwidgetpicker-1.2.1.apk
copy/move it to your SD card. Then using a file manager move/copy it to /system/app
This might be basic to some but it was new to me when I was running an AOSP ROM.

notification bar colors?

Is it hard to change the notification bar colors? I am running virusrom's airborne senseless, the blue theme. I like it a lot but I really want the blue parts to be pink. I have the Java and editing software to make changes to themes on my computer and I can access them on my pc and successfully turn them pink but I am guessing that the programming that runs the notification bar is a little more complicated than just say a theme you could run in pandahome or something. I don't want to just change the colors and then stupidly try to run it. Anyone have any info the care to share with me?
Heather
easiest way is to find icons you like and drag and drop them into system\framework\framework-res.apk\res\drawable-hdpi
Some of the icons are now in com.htc.resources like the 4g icon, usb, and 4 or 6 bar signal. Changing the text color is harder though, so its best not to go to light if you still have white text on the actual bar color
Thanks! I'll check into that!
Do u mean pull the framework ,drag n drop using a computer ...or can u paste using root exolorer, cuz I'm having trouble w that

Use a pc, and you need a program like winrar or 7zip don't unzip just drop the image but make sure it is named EXACTLY as the image you wish to replace.

Don't take this offensively, but are you Mexican?
K I did exactly as described above (i believe)
I meant to mod the status bar background. I used 7zip then used 'paint' ( in Windows-i don't know where program came from honestly) to color image in.
First I dropped it in (replacing old) n then I modded using 'paint'
When I finished modding, it changed within the framework. So I closed everything n pushed it bak to: /system/framework/framework-res.apk framework-res.apk
N it worked but then my battery drain was worse (monitored by current widget)
So I wiped batt stats,cache,etc... rebooted.
Then tried pulling framework cuz I have more to do n now it won't 'pull.' Says "cannot create 'framework-res.apk'; no such file or directory
N my battery drain is still bout 60mA more
Wuts up?

I'm not sure, I've seen people say that if the images are not optimized then they may slow down performance a little. I haven't noticed a change in performance or battery life, not on my Droid X or my TB. One way to get optimized images if you don't know how is to find a theme (even if it's for a different phone) that has a bar like you like and pull it from that theme.
K well that sux. I can't even pull the image cuz I can't pull the framework again. Wtf
I did a restore but the only thing changed is the framework (bak to original)
Still can't pill fw..batt drain is bad

Circle Battery Mod?

Looking for a circle battery mod that works with the wifi only Xoom 3.1. The one that comes with BRD's rom is sick and I'm surprised there isn't more battery mods out there...
You've got to go to the best forum! http://www.xoomforums.com/forum/bazar6-themes/6006-mod-circle-battery-icon-stock.html

UOTKitchen works I just did it...... make your own circle battery mod
My Xoom is completely stock and I rooted it with this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1078019
I still believe your best bet at not getting a boot loop is going to UOT Kitchen and doing it yourself since you upload your own framework-res.apk. I have attached mine which has the gingerbread blue in it with white numbers. It is the Honeycomb battery mod(image here) from the UOT kitchen page
View attachment xoom_wifi_3.1.zip - Circle Battery Mod.... feel free to download it if you like and use it on yours. I did not have to wipe prior to flashing this

This was exactly what I was looking for - thanks for the tip! I was able to generate a replacement battery gauge using that website that had the same color palette as the rest of the status bar. All the Market battery status bar apps I tried had an annoying notification occurring every time the battery went down 1%.
