This device's version cannot be updated.''
,and the phone is bin bought in Ireland, Vodafone.

Please Help me, and will donate to helpers.
Thanks, and sorry about my English
You have a leaked testfirmware installed: JPH... there is only one newer testfirmware: JPK, but there are no bis differencies to you JPH so you dont need to update. Android 2.2 (Froyo) is officialy not released by samsung, we are all wating. So it is all okay for you. Wait until samsung releases froyo officially and you can update. Your original firmware depends on the provider from which the phone may be bought in ireland.
... But please use the right sections to post here.. This is android development. We have a section especially for questions and answers.

I know that froyo is is not out yet, bet what's is the latest at the moment for Ireland Vodafone???
The last inofficial ist i9000JPK. Have a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=790686
Ok, but I'm looking for official latest, not froyo.

if you are the europe model i9000
then it's either JM1 or JM2 some people claim JM1 is better, but newest is JM2
if you have the i9000m canadian model
then latest is JH2
Today's lesson: Don't buy phones from gay people.
Ok, I'm will use I9000XWJM2 rom, but what about phone and csc files???
same for all 3
if you got to samsfirware site they will have all 3 zipped in 1 package
Hi,
I can't seem to find the NEEJM1 CSC file anywhere (which is the one I am using atm. and it is the one that pops on my phone when I dial: *2767*4387264636#). The closts thing I can find is XEEJM1.
So my question is: Is it the same? Or where can I find the NEEJM1?
Thanks alot!
EDIT:
checked on http://www.samfirmware.com/ and I couldn't find any CSC files with NEEJM1 either..
(Replying to my own post to put it on the front page of the Q&A thread again)
they are not the same no XEE is for the nordic/scandic country. denmark, sweden, norway etc.
not sure where NEE is from
I'm from Denmark and I have NEE on my phone (which I bought in Denmark). So does this mean that it's from Denmark aswell?
Anyone knows where I can find the NEE?

could be XEE is the scandic version, and NEE is a pure danish version. you have swype in danish too ?
On the NEE version? Yea, I do.
But what I wanna know is, what's the difference between those CSC's? Is the XEE a good CSC or?
Hey guys do you know where i can find a multi CSC file i mean i have only a couple (xeu xeo kor and something else) and i want to use the one for my country (HAT)
Thanks
You might want to tell which model is u want it for.??
it's the I9000 global and i want it for Romania (HAT one) i am currently using the XEU and i don't know if it's good...
XEU is for England and Europe than is good for Romania
i was having some very slow speeds on radio connection i thought it was because of the csc file?
Hi all, I've just got a few questions that I would like to have clarified.
So my basic understanding so far is that, even if I live within Australia, ICS is not dependant on the country of where I am but the origin of where the phone originated correct?
If so, then am I correct in saying that my phone is from Switzerland?
PDA: N7000XXLA6
PHONE: N7000XXLA4
CSC: N7000OXXLA1
My question is that am I able to change the origin by flashing(not sure if I'm using the term correctly) the phone to another GB rom correct..?
And then from there I would be able to update to ICS corresponding to the GB rom I flashed, eg. changed to Hong Kong GB -> Hong Kong ICS?
Thanks !
Yes you can. But its much easier to just flash the ICS version you after.

Do you mean to just wait for the Switzerland version of ICS?
No. I mean if you want for example hong kongs ICS version. You dont need to flash first hon kongs gingerbread. Just download and flash wichever ICS version you want without going through GB.
Oh I see. That makes much more sense now.
Thanks !
hey hi, im from Sri Lanka but my note is from France and they still not got it yet. i downloaded the PDA for sri lanka..
If im using Odin to flash do i need just the PDA (which i already have dowloaded for Sri Lanka region) or do i also need to find the CSC and PHONE files for it as well.. please reply soon.. i just cant wait..
thanksss

What about the hard brick bug? Isn't it risky?
Cordial Greetings
I'm interested to change modem of my Samsung Galaxy Y Duos (GT-S6102B).
I'm from Colombia...
I bought a Samsung Galaxy Y Duos (S6102B), It Came with Gingerbread 2.3.6.
Version Kernel: 2.6.35.7 se.infra_AT_Sign_SEI-44 # 1.
Number of Compilation: GINGERBREAD.VJLC3.
*#1234#
PDA: S6102BVJLC3
PHONE: S6102BVJLC3
CSC: S6102BUUBLC2
In Colombia the frequencies for WCDMA are 850MHz/1900MHz.
My GT-S6102B has preselected 900MHz/2100MHz Brazil and Asian frequencies, and I need to enable 850MHz/1900MHz for gain advantage of HSDPA (3.5G) data connections.
According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_UMTS_networks
Mexico has 850MHz/1900MHz
Uruguay has 850MHz/1900MHz/2100MHz
Venezuela has 850MHz/900MHz/1800MHz/1900MHz
As I have understood, is possible to change (Modem/phone) of S6102B taking (Modem/phone) of S5360.
Reviewing firmwares that can be candidates to unpack I have:
Mexico: http://www.hotfile.com/dl/164153315/1c2192e/S5360LUHLA1_S5360LUVYLA1_UNE.zip.html
Uruguay: http://www.hotfile.com/dl/157180385/db1dcbc/S5360LVSLA1_S5360LTFGLA1_UFU.zip.html
Venezuela: http://www.hotfile.com/dl/150336037/1906c89/S5360LUHKJ2_S5360LUUBKJ1_VNO.zip.html
I think that S5360 Firmware of Uruguay is better because is more recent and more complete.
For other changes, I will take as a base the S6102 Firmware of India.
India: http://www.hotfile.com/dl/165818294/b3afc92/S6102DDLG1_S6102ODDLF1_INU.zip.html
My intention is to mix the S6102 firmware of India with the S5360 firmware (modem part) of Uruguay.
I want to know if is possible to make changes according to compatibilities of Modem/phone for these models.
I want to know how I can do successful this process. If you have a guide/advise for me, I will be grateful.
Thank you,
Best Regards,
Jose Luis

First please do a nandroid backup..
You can do this i think.. but you are using wrong modem.. i mean 5360 has a single sim.. what you need is a modem of 6102 phone of any of these region..
Band V (W-CDMA 850) in Australia (Telstra NextG, Vodafone), Hong Kong (SmarTone), Thailand (True move and DTAC), New Zealand (XT Mobile Network), Brazil, Canada, the USA, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic (Claro),Venezuela, other parts of South America, Israel (Pelephone,[4] Cellcom[5]), parts of Asia (ITU Region 2 and ITU Region 3), Poland (Sferia)
So rest of the things are simple.. download your regions firmware update.. and download same version of firmware update which you were supposed to have of any of the 3 regions.. for ex. If u download DDLG1 update of india.. download XXLG1 of that region.. replace XX with the region code.. check this thread by manoranjan2050 for firmware files.. thread link
If its not available.. request to manoranjan2050.. he will provide it..
Then extract them.. and when flashing through odin.. select modem from any of the 3 regions modem update.. and use other two files in respective places in odin software..
So for instructions for flashing through odin which you requested see my post here.. post link ..
but i cant say it will work for sure.. as i guess no one has tried it.. so on paper it should work.. practically dont know..
So good luck..
hit thanks button! If above post helps you..

Thank you for your answer
The bad news is there isn't Modem/Phone working in 850MHz/1900MHz for S6102.
I'm not sure to achieve this, I'm not expert but I want to try!
Best Regards
As long as i know this is not possible cause u have to change the radio, meaning the electronics of your phone.
Anyway if u succed, please let us know.

as i agree you dont have firmware for those 3 regions in 6102... you need to try these brazil, hongkong, usa(t-mobile)
which has 850mhz.

The problem isn't to work at 850MHz but that unfortunately there is no Firmware working at 1900MHz.
Has anyone developed this procedure type (no matters if is using other model and Firmware)?
Best regards.

The process with the Modem S5360 don't work (after applying the change of modem, using a S5360 firmware, the mopbile keeps rebooting and fails to ignite).
Yesterday I found out that there are versions for Panama and Trinidad and Tobago, in countries whose operating frequencies are 850Mhz and 1900MHz, according to this Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_UMTS_networks
Panamahas 850MHz/1900MHz
Trinidad and Tobagohas 850MHz/1900MHz
The appropriate firmware version for this model are:
Panama: http://www.hotfile.com/dl/175764034/ec63d49/S6102BVJLH1_S6102BUWHLH1_TPA.zip.html
Trinidad and Tobago: http://www.hotfile.com/dl/164657793/0f8d859/S6102BVJLE1_S6102BUUBLE1_TTT.zip.html
It's possible to obtain separately the (PDA, MODEM, CSC) packages:
splitfus2.exe -a -s -w2 S6102BVJLH1_S6102BUWHLH1_S6102BVJLH1_HOME_PANAMA.tar.md5.
Thank you for you valuable Help.
