I have problem with apps writen with android port of OpenCV. When I use camera preview, I have heavy blurred image which is useless for me (ANPR program). On CM7 rom (android 2.3.4) everything is ok (image is sharp and full of details). Resolution of preview is 640x480 and my app is based on CVCamera example from android OpenCV port. Same thing can be seen in "OpenCV" app from market.
Have you noticed similar thing? Is there any fix for that, other than using unofficial 2.3.4 ?

Hi,
i just extracted the MIUIcamera.apk from the latest MIUI language pack and pushed it to /sytem/app. (see attachment) I changed permissions to rw-r-r and rebooted.
In fact it runs pretty well and looks great on CM7.
Unfortunately it force closes every now and then. Besides i cannot enable the image effects
The camera itself and the aspekt ratio fits better into the CM7 system as far as i am concerned. Moreover it harmonies a lot better with the gallery, because we'd have the full image on our display.
Can anybody port the camera to CM7 so that everything is working?
Anybody ??

I'll jump on and also request this. It's a great camera.
The stock ROM 2.2 had a camera effect named Depth of field.
Along with other effects like black nd white, sepia, solarise etc.
Now after I install a custom ROM with 2.3.3 that awesome effect is no longer there. I did Google out but no hope.
Hope any one of u know how to get that feature or effect back.
P.S. I'm not talkin about the app called DOF calculator.
I need this rom
Where can i get this rom form my phone (oneplusx)
Hi
I'am redesigned Phone.apk (from V20I from Topogig rom 1.9): frame for large photo and small text top for call (in & out).
call_card.xml
call_card_person_info.xml
=>xml_phone.rar
and Phone.apk
=>Phone_new_20I.zip (for CWM)
need insert large photo to Contacts (default photo - poor (very small)) or modify Contacts
Hi
Thx for this
Do you have a screenshot - how it looks ?
Greetz Paki
That's me.
Size can do more, but:
1. Insert image quality in Contacts does not work, it turns out even worse than the photos than with the imported WM (HP iPAQ 614c)
2. Necessary to move the other user interface elements (for example, the second call, text), but it is less a problem.
Need to some method to change the built-in constants in the code of Contacts to be analogs of the Gallery to have more high-quality photos
Does it work on CM7? I'm on Nightly 149.
I'm not really keen on getting a boot loop

Need to be replaced or modify xml files in Phone.apk from CM7
Does anyone know how (if it's possible) to have certain apps default to their Honeycomb layout on the Note? Gmail, Google Music, and Pulse are my biggest wants when comes to having the Honeycomb layout on my Note.
I think I may have figured out the answer to my own question. If I remember correctly, I doubt that the API of 2.3.x supports the "tablet" features of apps designed with Honeycomb in mind.
Maybe this will change once we get ICS though!
Well.. Netflix App is layed out like a tablet...
Some apps use two parameters to determine if to layout as tablet o as phone..
One is the resolution.. Like, I believe, Netflix. A WXGA resolution is almost always a tablet resolution. So the app will layout out as it..
The other parameter is screen pixel density... The Note comes predefined at a 320 dpi, which is a High Pixel Density (hpdi) as seen in apps. The galaxy Tab 10.1, for example has listed a 149 dpi which is either low (lpdi) or medium (mpdi).
So the apps which have a lpdi or mdpi layout defined in code (for Tablets) can show like that.
You can actually change the dpi value that apps "read" from the device by rooting it and with some apps like LCD Resolution (or changing the required file in /system)..
So while the Note has ~300dpi, apps (and Home, and app drawer, and all) will show as ~200 or whatever number you want..
I changed mine to 240dpi to take advantage of the High Resolution and read more onscreen (instead of just view a higher pixel density for icons).. and apps like Opera Mini show as a tablet...
-----------------------------
Of course there are just a few apps running on gingerbread and with tablet layouts.. This will all change a lot with the ICS update in March; and we will be able to view Tablet layouts for a lot more apps..
I agree the Note doesn't use the whole potential of such huge screen software wise. All apps work in phone mode not in tablet mode. Changing screen resolution helps a lot with certain apps but then it gets really hard to use the UI which gets also smaller. I wish there was a way to change screen resolution for specific apps while leaving the rest at default resolution but i already know this is technically not possible at all. I hope our Notes could reach their full potential with next official ICS update ... I'm already looking forward to flash it !
Personally I'm just hoping that ICS will bring the best of both worlds really. Just waiting for a stable release of CM9 baby!
I'm using samsung galaxy note n7000 and i have been using custom roms on it. I just change each time from Paranoid Android to JellyBam each time there's and update. I decided to try out RootBox Rom (nightlies). I don't usually install nightlies but i did this and i noticed my icons where blurry. Normaly i use 260 or 280 dpi and its very clear, sharp and crisp. i thought this problem was from the nighlies version of the ROM so i switched back to PA. the problem was still there. I installed JellyBam 8.2.0 and this problem still remained.
Please Help, I don't know what to do
the phone looks a little ok when its at 320dpi but still blurry. not sharp as it used to be then its worse if i switch to 280dpi or lower.
the photo below is on 280dpi

to me they look ok, it might be the background due to which they seem bit blurry. you can try using icon themer from play store or icon pack and use them with any launcher. I am using this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gau.go.launcherex.theme.mnml&feature=search_result
you're on latest nightlies??.. I'ts a known bug on cm base rom and I think it has been fixed, flash the latest rootbox nightlies or chnge to other rom...
