Hi,
is there an app like LUMOS (avalaible only for some htc devices with WM) for the LG Optmus 2X ?
The automatic backlight doesn't work well.
Thanks

Can anyone port the N1 Screen Calibration app to NS? I would love to improve the color calibration on the NS.
Anyone? I was able to get the colors on the N1 almost perfect (for me at least) using the rendering calibration app.
Oh, I didn't noticed your request earlier.
But I started writing that − low level hardware based, dealing directly with S-AMOLED controller.
Yes yes thank you.
Isn't such software embeded in to Cyanogenmod 7? (see that thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=745248)
Probably you should try that?
Hi guys,
is Optimus 2x able to use its LED flash as flashlight as we can see on HTC's devices?
Thanks for reply
I think that yes, the Optimus 2x is able to use its LED flash as flashlight.
I would imagine that if you have a video camera, and an LED you can just use that too
Definitely possible, I think there is a flashlight app in the market which was created exactly for this purpose.
I just tested it on my P990 and the free downloadable app "Tiny Flashlight + LED" from Nikolai Ananiev works !

Or test flashlight using the hidden menu?
Is it possible to get the BackLightNotification mod for i9000 to o2x?
Or do we need the kernelsource?
will NoLED work with Optimus 2X or is it only for i9000/Nexus S? would be nice if it worked

noled would work but drain the battery as 2X does not have amoled and thus does use full power lighting the screen. there was a post on the forum already.

NoLED works very bad on o2x due to LCD... doesn't look good at all and drains battery
damn then I'm out of options :/ damn those who don't use any form of LED notification...
Someone get this working!! Possibly with no flashing..on the future G2X?
maybe we can use the backlight of the capacitive buttons instead?
I second that
I was thinking the same, i rather want a nice little touch button SHOW, I was thinking that some blinking would b nice.
But I read somewhere on the forum, that we need the source code and something else to be able to control the led in the buttons.
think you need a kernel tweak to change the lights on the buttons like the galaxy kernel mod ..
NoLED is for amoled screens and not standard LCD
Missed Message Flasher, when set to flashing less than every 250ms, flashes the buttons and not the screen on the LG Optimus S/T/V/One. So, this is a step in the right direction - and it doesn't require root or flashing new kernels.
BLN Control
Install this from the market .
Name : ( BLN Control )
Let us know if it works.

Doesn't work. Says it needs a different kernel

I even tried 25, but screens still turn on.
Hmm...what about like 5ms?
Do a search for this on google...
Touch LED Notifications (BETA) 0.3 for LG Optimus 2x
I'm a new user so I can't post new links yet...on you tube you can find an example of it lighting up the capacitive buttons...

That touch led app works great. I just wish it worked with google voice.
Good morning,
I was looking for a way to higher the brightness of leds used in CM7 for notification.
I found no option in menù, neither a proper configuration file.
How can I change it?
(No interest in changing normal led level, since it's related to screen brightness, just the one related to notification)
Thank you!
Download the app 'Brightest Flashlight' it will make your led brght enough to see it in daylight.
"LG Optimus 2x touch key lights"
by Matthieu Guenebaud
Best app i could find for dimming the buttons..
Yes this "LG Optimus 2x touch key lights" is the best app.
Try with LG Optimus 2x touch key lights
Thank you all.
I was using "LG Optimus 2x touch key lights" on stock rom.
Now I was trying to change some setting in cyanogen, not looking for an external app..
Hello everybody!
I flashed some days ago the latest version of the Gueste2X ROM (v3.2), and it works great!
Btw, autobrightness it's not that good for me, I would like to edit the various level to fit it to my preferences; I read on Cyanogenmod's forums that in Menu-> Settings-> Cyanogenmod Settings-> Display there should be a config menu where you can edit these levels, but it's not present in my ROM.
Is it possible to edit the framework-res.apk to adjust levels as I want? I read something about it in this forum too, but I would like to know if someone of you did that yet.
Thanks you in advance!
Use the "Touch Brightness" application included in this rom.
Also: CM Settings -> Interface -> LED Notifications
Hello, thanks for your reply.
Seems you are referring to the softkey button, which brightness it's ok for me; i was referring to the LCD backlight. Is it possible to change its brightness, even editing the framework apk?
Thanks again!

I am not quite sure. But i think this is not possible on the o2x, coz of some driver issues
its possible, but not with the stock light sensor, but use the front camera light sensor its possible.
try the 'Lux Auto Brightness' app from the market.
Hey Vadonka, I've got Lux Auto Brightness installed on my Optimus 2X running CM7 (temasek-100) with your 3.x Kernel but I can't seem to get Lux to read any of my sensors right?
Maybe I'm using the wrong settings but I find Lux Auto-Brightness to be completely useless for this phone, it always reads "lux" as 20, or "luma" as 255?
Do you have it working properly on yours?
