angry birds rio not updating - HD2 Android Themes and Apps

so i got rio from the amazon store.
now that the update is out it never shows as needing it. i've done the refresh my apps option. tried a couple times and restarted the phone.
i dont know if this is device specific but id rather not lose all my stars in order to update.
ideas?

You have to uninstall old version in order to play new one. Try RIO backup to save all your stars

it doesnt backup the fruits i had every one of them in the first world.
thanks though this saves the stars at least

you can unlock all fruits with UnlockRIO11 ........

strangely enough it backed up my fruits too! awesome.
now i can actually transfer my scores to my tablet too.
does anyone know why rovio hasn't gave us online scores like on the iphone?

They came out in may...

I didnt have to uninstall the game, I just noticed it said it couldnt update to the card, so i looked in the apps and in the settings i noticed it was installed to the sd card, which i didnt do, it must do it that way automatically, i guess, so i just told it to move it to my phone and i updated again...and viola, it worked...

I had the same problem with my phone
here is the manipulation was done in order to update the game
1- Move the application on internal memory of device
2- Make free space on internal memory
3- Go to the Android Market to make the update
4- (optional) Move he application on SD memory

How to back up game saves or progress?

I've been testing out different ROMs ever since the device could be rooted, so every week I find myself starting the games from scratch. Is there a way to back up game saves or progress? Tried it myself but was not successful.
The only game that I know off is Robo Defense...the game saves are in the sd card. You can email the DEV of the game and see if he can do like Robo in his/her next update?
Game/application saves are stored in data/data. You just need to copy a correct folder to backup it. You can use SUFBS or terminal emulator/adb etc. to do this.

[Q]Moving Gameloft game data to external-sd

I have about 1.01GB of Gameloft files on my internal SD and copying them back from a full format/reflash firmware takes close to 1hr, is there a way for this to be stored on my external SD and still work with lag fixes and such ?
wait for froyo
then it can be done
before froyo it's not possible
as you need to keep the game data in the Internal SD

I only see move game data thats like 7-10MB large the entire game files still sit on the internalSD
Does anyone know some kind of a method to point the game files over to the external_SD? its really a pain restoring about 3,000 game files thats barely over 1.5GB takes hours!
Sorry for bumping this, but did anyone figure this out on froyo 2.2 or 2.2.1?
Never got this resolved, I would like to have all of my game data on the external_SD
exactly, im looking very hard for this questions to be resolved..but i tried searching elsewhere in other forums and there too did not provide any best answers...can anyone out there help us out pls
Not possible for mobile games
I also have tons of game data, especially gameloft's. I do really want to keep it in my external SD. So whenever I reinstall my system and the games, I can just simply put my extSD back in, then the game loads.
But as far as I know, this currently not possible even in froyo. App like Apps2SD can move apps to extSD, but not the game data, which are too big.
Even if it could, with the data that big I wonder how long should it take to load all the apps in the applications list when we run it to -- let's say uninstall other apps?
To prevent this, the dev separate the game from the data but I think the game is programmed to search the data path to internal SD by default, and could not be changed.
This is just like in PC, the default 'savegames' folder will be created separately and each game has it's own place. Some chose to be in the installation folder, others in my documents... So on...
And when we reinstall our PC OS then reinstall the games, we must restore our savedgames from our backups that we have copied in other disk, to the game default save folder.
Unfortunately, for mobile games the data are not just for the savedgames, but also for the main game resources... Which are too damn big and takes time to restore... Hmmm...

[Q] What happens if you lose an app?

Ok, I understand that we should have backups with clockworkmod and/or titanium to avoid these issues.
However, what happens if I don't have a backup of an app that I've paid for and somehow lose it?
Does the market recognize that I purchased the app before and let me re-download? Do I have to re-purchase the app?
With itunes for example, if you don't have a backup of purchased music you have to jump through flaming hoops to get it back and you're still not guaranteed they will work with you.
How do this work for us?
Thanks,
Neudle
Short answer is yes if you downloaded from the Market and it's tied to your gmail account it will let you re-download it provided that it shows up in your Market at the time you want to download it.
That's the way it worked for me. When I flashed Vegan and did the market fix every app I had paid for in the past (even on my old phones) synced and downloaded. Even setcpu which wasn't even functional till this week.
FWIW I use the USB hookup to back up apk files to a computer, an external fixed disk or ZIP disks (a good use for all the old but functioning Iomega stuff around here). I do this even before installing a new app, just in case. If I have a need to do so, I just drag the folder contents back to the tablet. And with files on the computer, Carbonite also backs up the files which enables retrieval from any computer I may use when traveling. I put all bookmarks onto the Web space included with the ISP account. It makes a complete recovery or transfer to a new tablet just about as quick and easy as anything I could think of.
I use Titanium... Any app I d-load from the market or elsewhere I back up.
Even if I do not intend to use it in the future... Who knows, when time comes I might need it.
Do not rely on the publisher to keep the app on the Market. I have purchased a couple of apps that are no longer available to download on the market that aren't available anymore, Transformers G1 comes to mind. Best bet is to buy Titanium Backup and set it up for Dropbox syncing.
Thanks for the help
Thank you for the replies.
I've only purchased one app (dungeon defenders), all the others have been free and most have been downloaded for side-loading anyway.
After I got the system rebuilt I logged onto google and dungeon defenders showed up as purchased in the market.
I'll try to keep titanium up to date but still glad to know they honor the original purchase.
Thanks again,
Neudle

Moving apps to OTG

For those worried about not being able to install big games such as, Nova 3, Asphalt etc, due to the lack of storage.
Look at this application
(personally I have not used it, but users have reported it to be working)

If it works for you let us know
(I have not developed this application so all credits go to slig, I just found it and thought it would be useful for those with a 8gb Nexus)

Wow...good lookin' out! I've been unlocked/ rooted for a while now, but haven't utilized otg since the one thing I would use it for ( huge, rarely used apps/games) couldn't be done. I have a few games that I play (only 2-3 ) but they are over 1Gb. So I only have one installed, because I don't play them enough to warrant them taking the last of my storage. Thanks
I just copy over the game files in sdcard/android/data via samba to my laptop. Delete the game files if i need space and restore if i want the game later. Just waiting for my OTG cable to arrive which will speed things up. Any number of sync apps on the market (foldersync a very good one) to manage it automatically.

Manually backing up a save game on WIndows Phone 8.1/10

Hi all,
I remember from the days of Windows phone 7, when we had root access, I was able to grab some XML based files from my games on my phone, back them up and when I restored, drop these back in the folders and continue off where I was before.
The nice thing about Windows 10 Mobile, If you had some games that were DE-LISTED, you can go into your history and re-download them even though they are not in the store any more.
SO now that I have Interop unlock on my ICON/929, I would like to backup a few save games from a few games that has been de-listed that I downloaded and I am going to capture the app, so if I end up having to hard reset for the next build, I can just restore these files to the folders, like I used to.
Just 3-4 games, that I know will not be backed up by Microsoft's so called backup option that needs a Dev to update their app for (and older games that are never updated will NEVER have this feature)
Where are the app saves located for Apps on Windows Phone 8.1 / 10 ? I did a search on here and it could not find anything that would point me in the right direction, just old stuff from WP7 that is not the same on 8.1.... If there is a good link with all this info, if you can provide it for me, THANKS !
Thanks in advance !
Try with this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2624469
Thanks but, No SD card on my phone (Nokia ICON/929) but, I'll install it to see what it does...
