Hi,
I've been trying for a couple of days now to find the stock ROM for the european SGT, with Norwegian language. After trying 2.3.3, I found there was no option for my language, so my keyboard dock is essentially useless now.
Been searching web/forums, but haven't had any luck. Am quite the noob, so that might be the reason
Anyways, I wanted to try going back to the stock version, and wait for the official update, so that my language is included. I should of course have backed up my ROM before trying 2.3.3, something I thought I had done, with titanium. I saved an update.zip file to my ext.sd-card, but when I tried accessing it, it said somthing about a missing signature of some kind
Appreciate any help!

Hey,
i recently had the oportunity to use the so called "1clickroot" App "flashrec" on a stock T-Mobile G1 from Germany. So now i have a nandroid backup of the OTA T-Mobile CRC37 Rom.
When i rooted my G1 i used the "Goldcard" method flashing the DRAMIMG.nbh file. Now i have a G1 with german hard-keyboard layout but with the american SPL, so without the äöü and qwerty instead of qwertz.
I planed to work out a HowTo to revert from a rooted continental european G1 back to the Stock Version including the SPL.
I am now looking for a way to dump some how the SPL of a stock german G1 and flash it back to my Device.
Maybe somebody knows a way to do this or has a update.zip including the german stock SPL.
Thanks!

I'm confused about what you want to do. The SPL has nothing to do with the keyboard layout, it will also be everwritten when reflashing the shipping ROM.
Hey,
i already tried to apply the backuped ROM from the stock Device using cyanogens recovery img. But after starting up the ROM and setting up german interface language the keyboardlayout was still not the german one (y and z switched and no äöü and so on). I had to replace the /system/usr/keychars/trout-keypad-v3.kcm.bin to get the german keyboard layout. Where does the wrong keyboard layout come from? The dumped img works great on the device it came from with german layout and all the way it has to be.
I thought it has something to do with the SPL, because it's the only thing that ist still changed. Tell me the mistake i have in my understanding.
The G1OrigBootloader_nocheck.zip shold be still the original one from the device shipped in US, other hardkeyboardlayout i think. correct me if i'm wrong!
Thank you for for your hints!
As far as I know the DRAMIMG.nbh you used can change the SPL, Radio, & Rom. Nandroid dosent backup the Radio or SPL. I dont have any experiance with backup those, but I think the only way to do that is through ADB in fastboot, if anything. Updates, as you know, can be easily applied from the recovery boot.
_-_
If you want to do work, you can always extract it from the original german .nbh file. I not sure if its as easy as rezipping it to update.zip... thats over my head for now. Looks like I got some more research to do myself now lol.....
That's the point! There is no german *.nbh file out there as far as i know, so i can't use it. If it where, through goldcard there would be no problem to revert back to stock for german devices.
I am just wondering how i could go back to the stock SPL and how to get the german hard keyboard layout back without changing the trout file every time.
thx
Unless you find the SPL or .nbh file somewhere, your only other option is to find another G1 with the stock SPL, and extract it.
cyanogen mentioned something about this in at

"I think you need to dump all of mtd6ro and extract radio/spl by hand if you need to. Nandroid doesn't touch either of them."
I havent finished reading through all the pages, but you might find out how to there. Im sure theres a thread somewhere, or you can pm cyanogen or another dev for instructions.
Im On Rom CyanogenMod 5.0.8 droid i have lost everything with no back ups of my cellularsouth original rom PLUS I HAVE NO DROID APP MARKET WHAT SO EVER i have a motorola milestone throught cellularsouth and was on the milestone forums and they told me since i have a cdma phone that nothing the moto milestone forums have nothing to do with it that it is the version only due to the hardware could anyone possible give me the file and instructions to help me set my phone back to the original rom and factory settings right out of the box state and yall will never hear from me again ive been over here for hours playing russian roulette wanting to hack this phone and it is no where as simple as jailbreaking and unlocking the iphone I REALLY NEED HELP and if you dont feel like typing call me at 228-697-7467
THANK YOU
I think the first thing you should do is download the new google apps. You can get them through a search. Go back into recovery and flash the Gapps.zip file. You will then have the market and all the google apps. There is a "rule" that any cyanogenmod ROM cannot have the google apps inside it and must be flashed separately. Go back to where you got the ROM and you should be able to find the Gapps.zip file. Try that first. I am not sure how to get you back to stock, but someone might be able to help in that situation.
If you have a custom ROM on the phone, the hard part is over. Just flash the Gapps.zip file and you will be done. Just breathe and relax. All will be fine.
ok but
im new to the going to recovery and flashing files inform me with a little more of that process been looking it up but know one speaks english when it comes to flashing.
I would go to theunlockr.com. That is where I went to learn how to flash ROMs on my Eris. Look under the how to section for your phone and how to flash a custom ROM. It should give you all the info you need there. Try it out. You will end up with a phone that you will want to keep for a while still. Give yourself time to learn and you might be flashing ROMs daily just to try them out. It will become second nature to you. Trust me, it has for me.
You Have Been Alot Of Help But What About Firmware and Base Band Issues
I put this Sapphire rom on my phone figured out how to put all the good apps and stuff back on but now i have firmware 2.2 so does that mean i can go back to and roms that worked with 2.1 or 2.0.1
If you mean you want to go to previous iterations of android, its entirely possible just find the right rom, and concerning baseband, depending on what you mean by that, you will have to go to your carrier to flash your phone if your service isn't working, but a baseband update is available via rom manager, though as far as I know thats only to increase internet speed. Btw, noone should have to play games of chance to find a solution for an android fix, or be having to search for hours, either, android= ease of use and application, also, your completely welcome to these forums, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Hello fellow XDA members,
I'll just cut down to the chase . A while ago I completely wiped my phone with CWM. I formatted the internal and external SD with CWM (I still have the efs folder don't worry) and all the other options except the bootloader ofcourse. So I flashed my phone with ODIN to Darky's ressurection edition (since it was the first ODIN flash I could find). I factory reset my phone and flashed doc's v11.1. However my native language (dutch) and all other locales except English and Chinese were missing. The gingerbread keyboard kept force closing... had this for a while wasn't happy with it started fixing it.
I formatted my phone again and flashed to stock froyo with multi CSC so the dutch language was available again . Everything worked perfectly it was exactly the same as when I unboxed it.
Then I installed doc's rom v11.1 again and the Dutch language was gone and the gingerbread keyboard kept force closing. I fixed the missing language with flashing CrySiS RevolutioN theme since locales are embedded in the framework. For the gingerbread keyboard I found out a lib was missing.. found the lib put in the right place and voila working. However for some strange reason the tab in the launcher 'my files' is still 'my files' and not 'mijn bestanden' (translated it to Dutch). Not a really big deal but alright....
Now comes the weird part however. My little brother bought a Galaxy S too... and I flashed mine and his today... with the exact same ROM from the RomKitchen. But our phones are not the same after the flash... his gingerbread keyboard was working fine immediately and the dutch language was available on the fly... Well now my questions are: what is wrong with my phone? What are the differences between his and mine and how to fix those differences. My main question I want to start from zero again total factory settings and then build up again. (I'd prefer the last question to be answered since I think that that is the easiest way ^^)
Thanks in advance!

any help available? sorry to bump
First thing I would try would be fix permissions (you can find this option in ROM manager) and if that doesn't work then I would just do a clean install.
I had the same problem, bad blocks and FC's. I spent hours trying everything I could to fix it. My phones been half busted for about 2 months. Someone suggested that I try this and it worked.

I didn't think it would but it did. It brought my phone back to stock 2.1. I grabbed z4root to root it, then reflashed hboot, radio and went back to CM7 nightly. All is well with the world again.
Good luck.
Hi Guys & Gals.
I've searched through the forum and a few google pages but cant find a similar problem.
I got my Note and everything was hunky dory apart from a few bloatware programs.
Since I have moved over from a Desire and Desire S, I'm not a total n00b when it comes to rooting and flashing. Mostly thanks to how easy the developers here have made it!
So I rooted my Note mostly so I could install Titanium Backup(pro) and then I installed Root Uninstaller and took off a few bloat programs, like the Samsung Apps and the Cartoon game. The phone still worked fine and I didn't think much of it.
Since then I have found that the S Pen doesn't work. So I restored the apps best I could through Titanium Backup, but that hasn't worked.
So I thought I would have to get the original stock Rom and reflash. Which Is a little harder than I thought it would be. I found the thread linking to SamMobile where I tried to find the Kernel and the UK Orange stock rom. A little confused by it all trying to find the right version to be honest.
This is the position I am in now, installed the Pro version of Rom Manager wich didn't work. Rooted again and installed CWM, again it didn't work. So now I purchased Odin and tried that but it wont show any of the zip'd and unzip'd files that I have download in the inbuilt file explorer.
I have also tried following the steps in this thread to no avail. It wont complete the process with the file found by CheckFus.

And I have looked at the Stock ROMS saved on Sammobile. Found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1350622
But I am unsure which version I need.
I am in the UK on Orange, if anyone can help point me directly to which ROM I need?!
PDS: N7000XXKKA
PHONE: N7000XXKK5
CSC: N7000XEUKK3
I must admit I am a little lost and dont want to brick my new Note!
Please can someone give the help i need?!
