[Q] Revert back to complete stock - HTC Incredible S

I'm going to use a XTC clip to get s-off on my IncS and was wondering how to revert back to stock if I need to warranty. My phone is from Optus so I know I can use the official ruu but I'm not sure of what that contains ie recovery/hboot. Also I guess it would be best if I could revert to s-on as well. Is all of this possible atm?

[Q]Vivid questions

1. Can I leave hboot off unrooted
2. Can I lock hboot without a PC
3. Some tutorials say to lock hboot before flashing back to stock. I was aware u needed hboot unlocked to do this.

2. To unlock bootloader you need a pc
3. You need to unlock your bootloader, as for hboot depends on if you are flashing ics etc

Ok so here is where I run into my issues. I am a gamer on my phone. At some point everyone is. But I play perblues games parallelmafia and parallel kingdom. On ics on the vivid I am getting some kind of skipping lag. And its only on that game. Maybe someone can help and try to figure the issue. I also called HTC support they attempted with same issue.

Would S-OFF work for this H-Boot

Hi guys just wondering, i have the sudden want to S-OFF my phone but i want to check if my H-Boot version is compaible with the S-OFF method.
If you have updated to ICS from the manufacturer you should be good to go. Even if you are still on GB there is an s-off kit for either version of android

The dev of the s-off process recommends it and will not help troubleshoot without it ..
But..
Homeslice managed to s-off without going back to stock...
FYI: I know he did so pre-CM10 so maybe a sense ROM?

There is only the one proven method that I know of for this phone...
Do not be intimidated...
All the wire trick is... is finding a ground that causes a reboot in a different manner... and allows the exploit to run...
Be not afraid

I'm going to give some vague instructions that worked for me.
1) s-off your boot loader (revone)
2) run the exe ruu 1.29.
3) once you're back on stock follow the revone instructions to s-on.
Sorry for not providing more information. Good luck

I'm already s off. If I run the ruu I will then be stock s off and can receive the ota updates?

Yes. I'd leave it s-off. It won't hurt anything. Make sure the stock recovery is back after you run the ruu.

HTC USA Advanced Replacement Experience w/ Tampered Relocked Bootloader...

Guys,
Has anyone sent in their tampered / relocked device to HTC USA for an advanced replacement? I already got my replacement, but I cannot get firewater to work on the device I am sending back so it currently has a relocked and tampered bootloader. Do they even check? Or should I just flash the latest stock AT&T firmware I can find via recovery and just send it back? They pre-authorized my card for $500 already and would normally credit it back once they get the old device. I've found mixed messages here on if they care or not, but nothing specific to HTC USA.
Thanks,
Y2J
Return to stock Rom s off or tamper doesn't matter but if you don't return to stock Rom they can charge you

So just a stock zip if I can find one that isn't rooted and just change the main ver to match it?
You need to get the att 3.17 RUU and run it. Then s-on with rum runner or whatever. Problem solved.

Do you happen to know where I can grab a .zip of the latest AT&T software not rooted that I can flash in TWRP?
Thanks,
