[NEED HELP ASAP] Deleted SGSi9000's firmware... - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi to who's reading - I need some urgent help.
I've deleted my firmware on my SGSi9000 (Darky's v10 ROM) - I went into recovery mode and pressed on wipe/factory reset thinking it'd take me back to 2.2...
Wow was I wrong.
I'm trying to flash with Odin right now to Eclair however it won't get past the 'SetupConnection' step in Odin...
Can anyone please tell me how I can get my phone to work again? Doesn't matter what firmware as I'll update with Kies.
Thanks...

factory reset just wipe the /data partition. Your phone should still be working.

Alright I just tried to get into recovery mode and now I get the Phone -> PC logo... Bricked?

You can still fix it probably.
You can try odin again or adb, sorry I cant help you more becouse i dont know more

Instead of the 512.pit I used the 803.pit and it seemed to have worked so far, flashing to stock Eclair.

Okay no that didn't work...

Try the ezbase rom, easy peasy, clear intructions and choice of froyo or gb and both rooted

I saw the Phone --!-- PC once, but the 3-button-combo did still work (phew) and I got into download-mode.
Does Volume-down+Home+Power get you into download-mode?
Additionally you can try the steps described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Samsung_Galaxy_S_Series#Bricked_Screen

[Q] PLEASE HELP! phone booting then black screen

this is what happened
i installed sgs tools...tried the hacked camera.apk
since that was not working, i tried reverting it by running the restore script....
when i opened camera, my screen became black and it has stayed ever since...
i restart my phone and it shows the boot screen, the s shimmers for a long time and then black screen again....
and i cant seem to get into recovery mode.... i have tried many times...
EDIT:got into recovery mode after 100 tries....what do i do now?
i have tried wiping data, and clearing the cache....doesnt solve the issue...
my phone is rooted.....i dont think i'll have warranty..
please help!!!!!
if you have 3 button combo working (download mode working) find some rom which you want to install and do it by odin.
best to find middle package (Richtchofen ones with his instructions, they quite plain and simple)
you could try put only pda part of the rom without repartition
if it will be stock room the same as you have now in your phone your warranty will be untouch
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
If you were on froyo flash back stock rom (2.1) but first flash 512 pit file with pit, then the phone is,only startable in download mode, then flash stock rom with repartion and, everything ticked..
btw i had oclf by ryan installed...
what should i do?
i do not wanna brick my phone
i downloaded samsung's latest froyo firmware to install?
should i refrain from installing that?

No make sure you flash the stock fw and use the 512 pit and have all options, ticked
Just find and read instruction how to proper repartition phone and flash it in Richtrofen posts (short and simple) which include links to roms.
do as it said and your phone will be working fine. mine was exactly on the same state few times and repartition with stock rom always helped
sent from my i9000 running stock 2.2.1 froyo using tapatalk

i had the same problem and here is how i fix'ed it:
i made a jig tool like you and got it into download mode then installed I9000XWJM8
useing odin. you can download it from samfirmware.com.
and while the phone was boting up i used adb.
while the phone is booting up try adb shell
if you get into the shell type "reboot recovery"
and install Clockworkmod from clockworkmod install a new firmware.
hope that works
it did for me.

umm when exactly do i goto adb recovery mode ? when odin is finished with flashing and my phone goes to recovery ? and do i install clockworkmod frm adb then ???
and when in recovery mode it gives me the error .. : cant mount sdcard ... were u having the same problem ???
Your internal SD might be corrupt if you can get in to recovery after you flash and it gives you a error message it might be. If it is, it needs to be fixed by bell.
good luck

SGS Semi-Brick , Help would be appreciated !!!

Hello buddies,
I was using my DarkyModded SGS i9K and all of a sudden my phone's lock screen got freezed and i tried it shutting down but i wont recognize ,then i had removed my battery and rebooted it.Now the problem comes !!
It wont Reboot i.e It's stuck on Galaxy S -powered by Darky ROM screen !
i tried with odin to reflash it back to stock,Reinstall Darkymod, Stock Froyo but no luck!!
but it booted into Stock 2.3.x and was booting very very slow @ 1FPS of sgs animation ,so i accessed the recovery but it was also too slow even it was taking the input after a sec , i wiped it and still no booting up and one more thing my phone displayed once the BSOD logo and now my sgs can go into download mode also but cant reboot after flashing with odin ,ezodin!!
I would be grateful if anybody snapped me out of this crap !
Thankyou!
If you can get into download mode, then flash stock with Odin, 2.2 is a good option, was for me anyway. Hope this helps.
Which odin roms have you tried?
knowledge is Power. Guard it well.

EZodin 2.2 (Preroot+CWM3),Odin used for DarkyROM,Odin for Gingerbread ROM!
still no luck in booting !!
If you can get recovery, go to mount and storage then format everything. Then flash bootloader with ezboot and after that a stock rom with odin. It's just a try...maybe you're luck and it works

i was actually using stock recovery v3e and when i try to hit wipe-factory reset it says E:copy_dbdata_media:Can't unmount "/dbdata"
E:Format_volume failed to unmount "/dbdata"
now im goin to try heimdall for Cm7 maybe i got some luck in there!!
what is this problem ??
even the heimdall didn't gave me a hand!
didn't get it!!
:/
i've even tried this !!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=984140
still no boot!!
f*ck!
Sounds to me that u are going to have to format the system via recovery, and then flash stock 2.2 with Odin

When flashing with Odin have you done a repartition?
Yep!
tried all possible ways!
:/
Re-format system, boot into recovery and go...mounts and storage-format system. Im no expert and please do this with caution and at your own risk. After format you will need to flash to 2.2 or something safe.
Already tried it says errors can't be formatted unable to unmount "/dbdata"!!
:/
please help me!!
:/
1st of all buy a jig, it will give you download mode and reset the counters. Have you maybe got a corrupt internal sd card ? See when this happened to me I flashed stock via Odin, then I rooted and got clockwork recovery and formated ststem, then a custom rom. Are you seeing recovery and download mode, or are you seeing a pc and triangle with a cross.

Umm..so, if i get Odin 2.2 official then can i fix up my bootloader bootloop problem?
Yeah it helped me out, also pit files caused me problems in the past, my advice is get Odin v1.82 and froyo 2.2. Try it without the pit, just use Pda Phone and CSC. If it doesnt work try with the pit. Make sure the files are in correct boxes. Let me know friend

can you enter recovery (vol up+menu+power) or download mode (vol down+menu+power)?
if you can get into recovery, do wipe dalvik->reboot and tell us what happens
if download - flash your country's whole rom with odin and start again

Still problem with booting
I have tried to flash many different firmwares. ODIN says green but the phone does not boot. Just the first logo or Samsung with some animation.. than it gets stuck there. ADB does not work then either.
I have tried to root and wipe data with different ODIN, but nothing helped. TWRP is not present on "download mode" either..
On ODIN3 v3.07 I see there there is a tickbox for "NAND ERASE ALL" but when I have it checked it fails or hands on erase state.
Could you please help me what I can do next?
I would like to have complete firmware and root and install TWRP etc. but I need to get booting up ok. I have already 15 on "custome binory download"

after flashing.. remove / replace your battery..
try booting in recovery by pressing vol up+home+power at the same time..
then scroll down to factory reset via vol keys..
wipe and restore factory settings..
