wizard bootloader in smartphone :(

phone is not powering up
hi , I have a htc typhoon (amadeus) based qtek 8100 phone , by mistake I upgraded bootloader to a htc wizard bootloader rom ( IPL/SPL 1.01 ).Now the phone isn't opening turning on or powering up.When connecting to usb nothing happens.Sometimes, it blinks all of the keyboard lights (maybe sometimes that I play with key combinations). How can I repair and put the right bootloader into phone again ?
Note1: I am pressing cam button and connect usb cable nothing happens.
Note2: I can't access to the bootloader screen

I would pose this question in the dev/hacking forum or on the smartphone dev site.
I'm only guessing here, but unless there is a second bootloader image (the Wizard for example has two copies stored in ROM) that can be booted from or otherwise forced to copy over into the primary space, then you might own a brick.
Actually, you may be able to revive it using a JTAG connector and associated flashing software, but that's specific to your device and would be better addressed over in the Typhoon forums. Essentially you would connect a JTAG connector to the EEPROM inside your phone, and the other end connects to your PC. You'd then need software that can transfer a new bootloader image over to the phone.

Are you sure that you can't get it in bootloader mode?
What happens if you get it in bootloader mode and just try to flash it again (although your PC said it isn't connected) ?

The problem is I don't know the JTAG connection points for HTC amadeus based phones.Where should I look ?
Phone is not powering or charcing because of these are also controlled by software.Bootloader mode is not available.(I am talking about charcing even not working or opening the phone , bootloader is impossible)

i've got the same problem with my herald, and dont know what to do!
phone don't start, when i press cam+com mngr+soft reset, nothing happens
even when i connect it to the batteryloader, nothing happens!
please, i need help! i've already searched the forums all over the world (those in english and french...)

Your fatal mistake is reseting your phone...it wasnt done flashing yet. The RUU(flashing prigram) often hangs up near the end for 1-2 minutes, and then it completes. I would say that you need to get your phone repaired now, seeing as if it wont even power on, that its more than likely damaged the bootloader:/

Always post the version of the phone and which rom you were trying to upgrade with ?
Check your battery,is it fully charged or working.Its always recommended to get the battery fully charged before flashing.
It might be due to discharged or dead battery that it doesn't power on,first confirm the status of the battery.
If the battery gets charged or working,get the phone into Bootloaders (multicolor Screen),if it gets there,its safe.

i try a new battry but there is no power my device is wazard g4 and i upgrade with black diamond 2 after i unlock my device (i dont remember the no but at the end there write olip)
i think that i need a new device becuase there is no light on charge when i plug in the adapter and not start when i press the power button

If your not intimidated by working on your phone, you could try buying one off eBay with a broken LCD and using the motherboard out of it in your phone. Worked for me and now I have a G3 instead of a G4!

what does it meat when i unplog the battry there is flash light from the screen
can any body explane this

it means there is power going to the device,but as it cant boot up it simply flashes the backlight on the screen

i remember that there is an spl v1 aor something like that when my device turn off
and when my computer hang up my device went to boatloader mode and i read the numbers of ips & spl. then i found that i have to flash rom (wizard love) but i turn off my device to keeb the battrey charge to complet flashing and that is the last time i see my device working

And when you tried to upgrade Black Diamond,it got stuck up on Bootloaders or it was working on Black Diamonds ? you say, your computer hang up and phone got stuck on Bootloaders,did it hang up while flashing ?
Did you actualy flashed 'wizard_love rom,or you were planning to flash but it got stuck.
Why I ask all this is coz,if you flashed wizard_love,your phone is HardSPL,,it'll get bricked with wizard_love rom as it has IPL/SPL in it. But if you didn't flash wizard rom and it goy stuck before that,than,its a dead battery.

my computer hang up at 98% in flashing wizard
i didnt flash wizard_love rom yet and i try to change the battrey 3 time with my friends but the device couldnt start ,,, is this problem from the battrey??
now iam going to buy new battrey to try and i hope to resolve this.

i've got new battrey but still not working
so what can i do
can any body tell me where i can buy mainboard but not from e-bay.

Dead Diamond

Hi,
1. When I power on HTC Diamond only have HTC Diamond logo in LCD...Anybody have same problem and how solved ?
2. How to put in flash mode? Phone no camera button.
3. My costomer says before that have problem with internal memory, never have 4GBmemory.

My customer use phone 1-2 monts and always have probem with memory...finaly phone is dead and I can't puth it in flash mode.

if he didn't flash any cooked rom onto the phone, just give htc a call, and see if they will replace it, if it still in warranty period.

Presume you have tried a Hard Reset and tried to install from fresh? If not try this, does not matter if the Internal Memory is corrupt...this should still work...
If not I would pass back to the customer and advise to get warrenty repair

Bricked my Diamoind! help please

I have had my diamond for a year and half now and it works perfectly although it was slow at some times. yesterday I tried to use a ROM made by the community. So first I tried to change to an unsigned HardSPL. I tried 3 different versions however each time I received an error. afterwards I tried to use a HardSPL made for CDMA phones (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35839) .
I ran the ram update utility I received the invalid model ID error.
Now my device does not start when I press the power button, and I cannot hard reset it .
Please help me to fix this problem

I remember reading somewhere that there are a few methods to revive dead phones and that 90% of them can be brought back to life.
Please help me if you are aware of any of these methods.
I also have to add that I have contacted HTC regarding this issue and so far they have not been helpful. I would really appreciate it if anyone who has had a similar problem could help me.

Okay, press n hold Volume Down button and try to start the phone..
If you can't start the phone your phone is dead..

bricked g1, please help me D:

so i have a bricked tmobile g1 on my hands. my friend tried to flash haykuro's spl and did it wrong so now the phone is effed it does not say "tmobile G1" at the bootup screen, it says HTC and stays there. trying to get to bootloader and recovery mode is impossible because the phone will not go into those modes. the spl is a "danger spl". is there any possible way to fix this?

as of right now...no there is no way to fix this...

if ur phone is under warranty just call tmobile and say ur phone would not turn on after a backup app asked u to restart ur phone
worked for me with the same problem
flashed the spl before the radio and bricked. called them and told them an app caused it and got my device within a week :-D

But yeah, your current G1 is bricked if you cannot access recovery or bootloader.

It's a bad sign that it says htc and not g1 on the boot screen. If they see that then they might charge you because it's obvious you flashed the wrong spl for the phone.
