i am trying to transfer my angry birds data from my evo to my xoom but i cannot get it to work with titanium backup.... anything else i can try?
Get one of the angry birds backup apps free from the market. It will save a .lua file to your SD card. Install the same app on your xoom, copy the lua file to the xoom and use the app to restore.

Thanks bro I'll try that
In the Android Market search for Angry Birds Backup from Dev- ANTBEE. He has a free backup tool for each of the 3 games. Use the below link as a guide to get you back to where you already are on the phone.

I was not looking forward to playing all levels once again.
I can confirm that they work.
i used another sync tool and it worked great too but it did not transfer my trophy's but i guess it could be worse haha

I can confirm that this method worked for me. The online backup/restore option in the app DID NOT work for me - I had to manually copy the .lua files from one device to the next, and put them in the main folder of the sdcard.
It's good to know there is an app to back up the progress, I've been doing it manually. The files are:
/data/data/com.rovio.angrybirds/files/highscores.lua
/data/data/com.rovio.angrybirdsrio/files/highscores.lua
/data/data/com.rovio.angrybirdsseasons/files/highscores.lua

Found this cool trick out today so wanted to share with all. Ok go into market and download the file manager Astro. Open up astro, hit menu, application manager, check all apps installed and hit backup. When your finished mount sd card then look for backups folder. Open it up and inside are all the .apk files for everything you have on your phone. You can now get apk's for almost anything as long as you install it and run the above steps.
...and as long as it's not Pac-Man....or the paid apps, when they start coming out.
Haha yeah i figured you already knew about this. I'm trying every app and game i can to see what wont work. Now i can scratch pacman off my try out list.

Astro can't backup pacman because its a .zip file and not a .apk, if you have JF's rc30 you can still get by busybox coping it to your sdcard, its in /data/app. As for pay apps they are probably encypted
We've been through this. I was joking with 555 up there
Noob here,
how can you locate or transfer a apk files? where are they exactly saved?
using a Huawei u8860 phone.
Thanks
Hey Guys / Gals,
Is there a way to get the apk file that is downloaded on my phone for an app and move it to my Gtab for installation?
For example, I dont find Pocket Legends game in the Market from my Gtab, but I can DL it to my phone and install. So......I want to move it to my Gtab
I have noticed this for a number of Apps, cant find it in Market from Gtab but can on my phone.
Thanks!

You can use titanium backup, it puts the backed up programs in its sdcard folder.
Astro file manager can do it too..
so if I used Titanium Backup, I can backup to my sdcard on my phone, put that sdcard in my tablet and restore the app on my Gtab from the sdcard?
if that will work, I would be 1 happy gtab owner
A very easy way I've found it to use a combination of RootExplorer and Dropbox. Install Dropbox on both devices....heck and RootExplorer on both as well..
On the phone, use Root Explorer to browse to the .apk then long press it...select "Send" then select "Dropbox" and it uploads it to your Dropbox. On the Gtab, open up the dropbox and install the app.
Send is not in the list of options for my Root Explorer, I have the paid version of RE and just installed dropbox.
Hmm...trying to remember what I could have installed that added that option....I have it for about everything....
Could be blackmoon attachment saver free...

*UPDATE* Hulu Plus is now officially supports on the Bionic, this method is no longer required but keep in mind this method works for multiple unsupported android devices.
So if you want Hulu Plus just go to the market ;-)

All Credit goes to this post, as i use this method for my Asus Transformer.
http://rootzwiki.com/showthread.php?2526-FIX-Hulu-Plus-APP-working-on-CM7
Directions:
1. You Need Root
2. Get Titanium Backup if you don't already have it. Run it and aprove the superuser permission request.
3. Download this file http://goo.gl/MG2xh
4. Extract Zip and a folder labeled Titanium Backup with 3 files inside should appear.
5. Place those 3 files in the sdcard/TitaniumBackup folder (Keep in mind that Droid Bionic mounts its internal storage as /sdcard/ so you need to move those files into the internal and not your sd card)
7. Launch Titanium Backup, Backup/Restore, scroll all the way down and you'll see huluplus.
8. Restore app with data and enjoy HuluPlus!!!
UPDATE:
I forgot to add that you cant have Adfree installed on the phone, or any other modified hostfile program
I'm getting a message that my device is not supported with this app.
Is anyone else getting this or is there something I've broken in my device (damn near bricked it first day).
SCRATCH THAT; rebooted and all is working. Much thanks to the OP.
It works for me as well, thanks a lot dude!
Worked after a little while. Titanium backup was being stubborn for some reason. Thanks a lot!

I was having the same issues with TB finding the backup, had to uninstall Hulu+ and all my backups, then copy in the files and reboot before it loaded lol
On the good news, yes it is WAY worth it dept., this works over HDMI out!!!
i was able to successfully unzip, restore and run HuluPlus following the instructions provided.
But it needs a user/pass to access most options -- is this what others are getting too?
Yeah it's normal. The Hulu Plus app is only meant for paying members to my knowledge. The video is very high quality compared to what I get on Netflix most of the time.
I can't seem to get it to work. It launches, I can sign in, but when I click on anything to play I hear the audio but get no video.
Any ideas?

Hmm that's weird. Have you tried uninstalling and starting over? The only time I don't get any video on my phone in Hulu is when I'm doing mirror mode via HDMI to my TV.

Are you using Adfree or a similar ad blocking tool? If you are blocking ads, hulu won't work correctly.

Download link is working -- just right click on link and choose "save target as".
Got it to come up, do we need to log in with a name and password.

Works great BUT without a password ans username its doesn't give you much to do.
Thanks for all everyone does on this site. It really helps me and alot of others as well
Working perfectly for me. Thanks!
I keep getting "Device not supported"... am I doing something wrong? I rebooted and still get this error message.
Bionic is now officially supported by Hulu Plus, no hacking required.
I downloaded the application from the market to my Bionic and every time i try to play a video, the advertisement plays fully but when the actual show or movie starts, it force crashes 2 seconds in, every time. Anyone else?

Works on Tiamat 2.2.1 but you will need to delete the old market .apk
I have both markets old and new...just didnt get rid of older one..

I just installed it without removing the other apk and I can confirm on Tiamat 2.2.1 XOOM that both markets can co-exist with 1 little glitch.
You can't seem to have 2 apps named the exact same thing in your APPS catalogue. I found that if I want to open the new market, I have to open AppBrain Market and select the new market and hit "OPEN"
Any ways around it? worst case, I'll delete the previous APK...
btw this market looks just like the new market on my Nexus One...
That link is for 3.1.5.
3.1.6
Chek it, Thanx Solarnz

I cant install this Market
how do you delete the old apk then?

titanium backup
How do you install it? I can't seem to install the apk solarnz provided.
I tried to copy to system/app/ using root explorer but there is no existing Phonesky.apk.
Titanium Backup indicates that the market is Finsky.apk but renaming and replacing it doesn't do anything.
Luckily I backed up the original market using Titanium Backup.

did you actually try that? Because the xoom reboots, shows the ! with Andy next to it making me force a reboot, and then boots up fine after that with the original market intact.

Im sorry i have been using root browser.
Now i installed root explorer and it says that it is not enough free space on that folder.

Of course not. Android apps are self contained. And why do you need to move stuffs to /system? The cappy have a 1gb data partition, and most data are stored on the SD card, not on the NAND flash like with iPhones(this is not entirely accurate, but close enough)
