Marcon10 : thank you for you reply.
the video is clear to install Darky's Ressurection.
It remains one topic that i would like to understand.
I didnt see anything in this video that tell us how to backup my original ROM.
In case my phone would be out of work and I would need to restore the original ROM to be able to exchange the phone with another one with my mobile operator.
This is why i asked which CF-Root to use ; or may be i'm wrong and have to use a Rom Manager instead ?
Finally i really dont see from which side I have to start
the Final goal is to backup the original ROM before installing Darky's

Hi,
thanks for the link but i found nothing about BUJP8 or BUJP5 on the 32 pages of this thread :/
Is it the only way to proceed (downloading the "original" rom from somewhere else) ?
No chance to backup my actual Rom before migrated to Darky's ?
So I have to conclude that :
1) i cant backup my actual original rom
2) i cant find this original rom somewhere else
too bad :/
There are roms on here u can flash back to. There backed up on xda. Follow video tut on darkys resurrection. Make sure u can do 3 button combo

Hello,
Recently I updated to doc's mod v11.1, but I want to revert my phone back to stock (just to learn). I want it to be exactly the same as when I received it. I bought my phone on december 2010 so I guess I'll need the Froyo 2.2.1 firmware. Some information:
It needs the European firmware including dutch language.
I need to revert CWM recovery again to stock recovery 2e/3e.
Anyone got some information on this and can give me the required information, because I am having trouble finding it. Like where to find the firmware (I read about samfirmware, but I can't find the appropiate firmware ;/) Thanks in advance!
Tbh information without the files is welcome too. All information is welcome since it can broaden my search. Thanks again

I've got stock kernel in my backups pile... can upload and then you can use it with GS kernel flasher. Can do it preferably by Dropbox.
As for un-rooting (if you want to lol) check out OneClickRoot or something like that by Shortfuse
Hi
Hey bro i read ur thread,, here i have a link to a video from youtube it says step by step how to do it,, ive done it also a few times. you have to make an account to the link that the video points.
sorry ive this account new, so i cant post links,, search on youtube for >>How to Flash A Galaxy S Phone back to Stock Froyo
from the account of > androidgalaxys
hope i helped you
Alright thanks a lot! I'll take a look at the video when I come home.
At ravelair does the stock rom contains Dutch settings etc... or not?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
If you just install the stock rom with a wipe u can then choose dutch by language at the beginning. Im also from Dutch so ive done it also
Galaxy S
Alright thanks but can you tell me what version I need from samfirmware?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
It depends on which one you want , if you want to go to Froyo then u can choose just the modem u were at, otherwise u can just do the latest European Gingerbread

I have no clue which modem I was on... This is more of a test if my phone ever breaks down I can flash it back to custom and send it in for warranty so... wouldn't really matter ^^ If I flash Froyo or Gingerbread right now I guess... the method is the same just a different file. Anyways what modem do you suggest?
aha okee,, well I use now the latest Gingerbread, it's very fast and stable... and it's officially released in the Netherlands, so you can flash that one
Alright thanks can you provide me with a link since I don't want to flash the wrong image :x. Thanks for all your help!
Dutch: Bedankt man

Noprobs bro, if you've an account on samfirmware, just log in and choose samsung galaxy s i9000, there you can choose the European version from the beginning till rom 2.3.3 latest
Dutch Geen Dank ahah
Alright thanks. But the guide says I need 3 files... a CSC, PHONE and PDA. I can only find 1 file.. do I need to flash that one without the repartition checked?
hmm, you can flash back to 2.2.1 or JVB that has three files with 512 pit file and repartition, and then after that 2.3.3 jvh without re partition..

I already downloaded a 2.2.1 version and it contains 1 file.. not three... so that's kinda weird... It's 2.2.1 JPY and then I'll flash to doc's rom (which is JPY based) again....
I downloaded this one:
I9000XXJPY ## from this link:http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-i9000.htm
Do I need that one or another one? Thanks!
I just found this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=790686 is this also a legit way to do it ? Thx (by only doing the first section ofcourse)
You can download this one >>http://hotfile.com/dl/114645023/5ea002a/PDA_I9000XWJVB_-_PHONE_I9000XXJVK_-_CSC_I9000XEEJV3.rar.html
it has three files, flash it with 512 pit file plus repartition.
Alright thanks a lot! This just leaves one question will this also turn my ClockWorkMod in to recovery 2e? Or do I still need to do it manually?
Just flash katest K13c speedmod kernel over the JVH modem the latest gingerbread then you have it also rooted and it works fine

hello
i searched but i didn't find anything.
anybody can help ?
i have the same problem i update my phone with LGMobile Support Tool and now i cant root-it i try many metods super oneclic, Injecting CWM into any kdz update, Gingerbreak nothing works model version LG-P970 android 2.3.4 kernel 2.6.35 build number GRJ22 software version LG-P970-V20f can help please?
up
Injecting works when done right, you have to boot into recovery and flash superuser to get root.
Your next method is grab smartflash and the files provided and use that.
The answers are there, keep at it.

I used "Unlock Root" PC application to root my OB V20E... and it will install a CWM recovery automatically.
Make sure you have Android SDK installed and ADB drivers.
But if you have installed the LG Drivers for your phone it will work just fine.
Check on it here...

I followed this link but i used the v20E firmware for flashing and it went through with no problems. My friend's OB is now rooted with CWM installed.
I believe this is the only way to root successfully any new firmwares of LG. By Flashing... I guess I was just lucky in Unlock Root on my v20e.
It depend on the rom.. every version have different root strategie to be done

Yeah.. i think, look for the v20n rooted.. u can find it on this forum or google it : "rooted v20n" or something you will find an independent page with something V20n[patched].bin and another data (forgot it) and u flash them

fls file , right ?
Or you guys have a look into my noob how to, cause there is a general way of rooting, although the unpacking is already being done automatically meanwhile by the extract program. So you only need to set up a virtual Ubuntu follow the instructions, flash it, install superuser and you have made your own custom rooted firmware.
Have fun
Yo, guys! Is it possible to repack latest updates with new kernel with nb0 file packaging format so an update could be done with power button, volume up from a designated folder... sort of

No, I do not want stock. Asking for a way to get around SUT LR by having an universal, windows independat format to flash the phone. IMHO dev roms are windows dependent and by using fb0 type dev roms you would get around SUT LR and flash directly in the phone. As with latest roms with new kernel.

Thanks! Now, this is very possitive! Is it possible to extract the zips you offer and make these nb0's or is it due to when you build them? Or maybe to make a most necessary nb0 as a primary compatabiliy flash? The interest I have in this comes from my interest and how I look on open source, no one should be dependent of having Microsoft Windows installed on their comupter, this way we/ you also support people in the third world where Ubuntu or other community software is chosen. Again, thanks for you effort in dealing with this Q and hope to see a nb0 soon!
Sent from my U9000 using XDA
Sorry if I understood otherwise but you are very keen to gave nb0 which will make you dependent on Microsoft to flash them or you'll have to flash them from stock recovery whereas the current format zip can be flashed from CWM and not restricted to Windows, more clarification on this subject will be welcome
For pack and unpack nb0 firmware files i'm use n0-utils.jar

Hi.
My phone is running ICS 4.0.3 on SpeedMod k3-11 kernel, Baseband version N7000DDLP4.
Recently, the Indian Galaxy Note users recieved a ~100mb update to 4.0.4 but for some reason I am not able to download it. I've recieved the update notification 3 times but everytime I run it, it loads for a few seconds and then it says "No update found".
I have not been able to check update via Kies since my laptop is totally busted.
Could the problem be occuring cause I have a custom kernel installed? If so, I would really appreciate someone giving me the link to flash the stock kernel so i may upgrade to 4.0.4. (I have searched around but couldn't find it)
If its some other problem please do let me know too!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Since your laptop is busted, so you may use mobile odin to flash stock kernel, you can find kernel for your ROM in this thread- Kernel for your ROM is DDLPA one .. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1371007
If you are going to flash it with mobile odin then extract the .zip or .tar till you find zimage file without any extension and flash using mobile odin, thats how I do it. You can flash .tar too
