Hey people, I am using a TMOUS version of HD2 and I am looking for a good looking TPU case for it. I am looking for the TPU cases that have protection surrounding the lens, speaker and the flashlight. I don't want the ones with a big opening in the back.
I want something like this (see link)but better looking and fits the TMOUS version.

I dont want something like this (see link) that just have a big opening for the lens, speaker and flashlight.

I take it the Otterbox defender is too bulky? It also protects the screen from impact (that is a glass screen on the HD2).
Personally, of the two I always prefer black.
i have the first one. it doesn't fit perfectly, but you can stretch it out to make it fit. mine fits very snug.. honestly, i find it kind of ugly.. i really only picked it up because the ebay page said it would fit the tmo usa hd2, but it didn't. complaining didn't work out well, and it was only $5, so i just kept the case. i'm looking at buying a capdase xpose soft jacket or a momax icase. i'm hoping both fit! if you want to know how it goes, just pm me, and i'll be sure to let you know (if you comment here that you want a review or something, i probably won't see it haha).
Maybe Otterbox Commuter ?

Hello everybody,
I'm thinking of buying a hd2 and I was already reading the forum and looking for some cases but the thing is... what should/would or must I buy!?
I also own a Dell streak. With the device I use a full body skin/protector in combination with a leather case.
So the thing is, there are a lot of cases out there and I really want to know if there is a great option which will keep the device slim and really protected.
Like full body skin (if necessary) with:
case 1
case 2 without lower / upper protection
case 3
case 3 - another picture
case 4
I will only suggest one thing ! Do not go for Rubberized Covers !! they make the phone hard as hell to slide in/out of the pockets !
As for the cover search for Otterbox Commuter Series Case
I love Otterbox Defender case. As previous poster said, rubberized cases are annoying in terms of putting them into a pocket. I use belt holster for my Otterbox. Works fine.

Thnx very much
I had the Otterbox case. It made it way too thick.
Try this
HTC EVO 4G
4.8" x 2.6" x 0.5"
(122 x 66 x 12.7 mm)
T-MO HTC HD2
4.8" x 2.64" x 0.43"
(122 x 67 x 11 mm)
Look at size comparison of the two phones. I ordered the Seidio case below and it fits perfect.
The Sprint store has the horizontal leather case with magnetic closure, that fits too.
GO to seidioonline and search for Product Code: HLHEV4AS
If you order this holster make sure it reads Spring-Clip Holster for use with non-cased device.
Got mine today... Love it.
I cant post pictures being a Jr. Member
Let me know what you think?
Hit that thanks meter if you like it

Interesting. I like the Otterbox precisely BECAUSE it makes the HD2 thicker, and easier to handle (for me).
Ditto.

Yep...plain simple...which one is THE sexiest HD2 body glove/cover.....right now m using the plain rubberized case which came with the phone !!
I like the Body Glove Kickstand case, but this looks pretty badass
No cover, I don't like covers.
Hi i bought 5-6 cases the last 2 years for my hd2. The sexiest for me is this
The blue is my wife's case. The circles on the black are not so visible is almost transparent. You can find a clear case too check eBay.
thanks for the replies guys....but still nothing that catches d eye !!

i just ordered myself this one - black and white
it should arrive in 15 days (it's a long way to my crappy country )
y d hell has Iphone such variety of covers....
i need something which is plastic, glossy, easy to slide thus.......
I think the defender is the sexiest. It looks like a case that Batman would use for his phone
i personally have a tpu Flexiskin (or something like that) on my TMOUS HD2, it is incredibly good looking, it fits the phone like a glove and it feels thinner with the case on than it does with the OEM case. It also does not stick in pockets, and offers some good protection, GET ONE

I currently use a Body Glove case myself, I attached two pics below. I just hate thee kickstand has put two scratch marks on my battery cover where the kickstand rubs the back of the phone. But the case has really helped protect my HD2.

Could you maybe post some pics or a link to this cover I would like to have a look at it.
For a plastic case, I REALLY like this one::
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-CASE-MATE-BLACK-BARELY-THERE-CASE-HTC-HD2-LEO-/130425023698
slips easily in and our of your pocket and is barely noticable if the phone is sitting on the table.
For work, I used this one for a european HD2 ::
Only problem was that, since I use android and regularly need to slide down the notification bar, I COULDNT use this as the aluminium frame comes to the edge of the screen and I couldnt touch the notification bar.
Solution:::
Its actually the PDAIR aluminium case for the T-Mobile HD2. Whilst the Tmous phone is slightly bigger, it doesnt matter with this case as the fit is SOOOO tight. Nice neoprene lining on the case to act as a shock absorber and the belt clip is brilliant for it. REALLY secure, but really easy to get the phone out.

The reviews on Amazon indicate the US version will fit but it is very tight.

Otterbox defender. Totally worth the money!
Sent from my HD2 with WP7 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
I agree with everyone with Otterbox Defender Series.
Amazing case.
Can anyone confirm that the capdase hard case will fit the tmobile hd2? I have read reports that say it will because of the rubber on the inside.

Yes I have one
Hi, I recently purchased a Case-mate htc hd2 case and I'm very disappointed in the fit (it scratches the corners damages the phone)
I was wondering if anyone could recommend me a case. I want one that is slim, doesn't fall off, and doesn't collect too much dust.
Thanks

These have always worked best for me http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Gel...asesPouches&hash=item2310287cb0#ht_1132wt_901
They don't scratch the case, they don't collect dust, they protect from bumps/scratches and they're cheap!

That one looks like the European version of the HD2
i would advise you to invest the money in buying a leather case ! They don't scratch, they robust and they look good
if you are looking for a case maybe the otterbox commuter series is good for you. the hd2 fits perfecty into the case but it is a little bit thick
check it out

too short
If you want a case but not leather case, so what about FlexiShield Skin . It is much thicker and tougher than Silicone ones, adding little bulk to your phone, and non-slip.
best case I've found so far...capdase xpose

Suggestion
Hi, i can suggest a case from "SunCase", like these ones:
Look on Ebay for: "Suncase HTC HD2"
The only disadvantage is, that the band for outtaking the phone makes the backcover of the phone a little bit glossy ...
when i Bought my HTC: HD2 it came with a case that has served me well for two years now

There are many leather cases which it covers the whole phone that you can use.
Just don't drop it.
You can choose from many available. Starting from leather cases, through simple gel cases (like I have), ending on the tank-like Otterbox cases. IMHO you should choose depending on where do you use this, on which surface.
I have a simple gel pad for ca. 6,30$, but i mostly walk on carpets, wood and linoleum, and it works pretty well- although my HD2 landed on the floor many times with sound like something heavy has landed, my screen didn't break.
I got used to be careful, and watch out for the phone not to slip out from my hand.
I don't think looking for leather cases and the lot is the way to go - it might be a part of solving the problem; but the best way is to try and use the hard buttons on the phone less - especially the back and end keys. (maybe use softkeys like button savior if on android)
I understand the HD2 is Heavy. . .
Chuck Norris once tried to pick one up and
he broke his hand =)
You must have dropped it very hard on something like concrete. The HD2 has Gorilla glass so even if you was to buy a cheap $10 case off ebay you shouldn't have ever had a problem. I say shouldn't because even though we have Gorilla glass on our phone it only makes it harder to break, not impossible. Check out this video of the Leo being put through a tough screen test. I'll warn you, if you love your phone like i do its rather hard to watch.
Well back to protecting your phone. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of durable cases for our phone. With that said Otterbox should give you the best protection against dropped phones especially when onto hard surfaces. I've dropped mine a few times now on the ground and mine is only in a gel case. I never had a problem with it breaking but i'm sure there are other factors involved. I'm trying to find out for sure if our HTC HD2 can fit into a HTC Inspire 4G case. The measurments are very close, we are talking about less then a millimeter difference in some spots while others are exact. If it would i would suggest a case from Seidio.
I am ordering the seidio rugged inspire case from amazon it has 3 layers of protection. I'll let u know if it works.

I opened a thread about this earlier but had not got around to ordering it yet. I did try on a seidio plain hard case that fit. The volume buttons was a tricky fit though. You could press volume down just fine but you needed to press almost in the middle of the volume button to turn the volume up. It did fit nice and secure inside the case though. Very interested to find out the results.
got the seidio convert case today..more protection and cheaper than the defender. I looked most of the inspire 4g cases from seidio should fit as well as this one does.I think i will keep my tmobile hd2 a little longer now.
---------- Post added at 10:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:27 PM ----------
the volume rocker is not centered in the opening but works fine.
i suggest invisible shield, the feeling is really nice and its protection is also very good
I use the original HD leather case and it works well.
BTW: Most time I have my HD2 just in pockets of my jeans - for about two years no.
