Found a thread with the .apk but it doesn't seem to work. I can get it installed; however, it gives me an error with just about every action I try. Any help? Running TNT Lite v4.4.
I actually posted the same question. I got it from the market and was really looking forward to having access to on demand. Anytime I try to do anything I get a unknown error has occurred. I haven't contacted them yet, but I am wondering if a 3G connection is required. On their site it does say that the app requires an android phone 2.1 or 2.2, so that is why I am thinking it needs 3G.
As I told markmac in his post, I was able to open an use the Xfinity app fine on my gtab running the stable CM7 released yesterday.
Works fine, running vegan tab gingerbread rc1. Did have tnt and tried, was a no go.

I get the same error on the Vegan GB ROM.
Last night i flashed the latest Vegan Gingerbread rom and still having the same issue. Just to me clear, my issues are with the Xfinity TV app not the Xfinity Mobile app.
Apoligize, app not working, had themobile. Most functions work.from there website which was strange.
No go on this stock tablet. Unknown error on both sign-in and searching for the channel listing. FWIW their mobile app doesn't work either.
Tried this on my Vegan-Tab 5.1.1 and while I was able to download it from the Market after running the "fix" I too get the unknown error.
I also can't seem to get access through their website despite being a paid customer for all of Xfinity's content. Every movie/tv show that I try hangs at "obtaining authorization"...
Is this the app to control your DVR remotely ?

From my GTab: I just log into Xfinity website and watch shows direclty. Admittedly I only tried it a few times and I probably didn't hit enough videos to cover all three video playback formats.

I'm guessing that you're hitting Comcast's ceiling of three registered playback devices. If you go into your profile & see 3 devices, delete one.
I appreciate the suggestion but I have no registered playback devices, the GTab would be the first.

I tried going to the website and watching movies, but they never loaded. Min got past the authorization part. I am running Vegan GB.
What ROM are you using?

I switched from Vegan to CM today to get netflix working. Was happy to get Netflix, but get errors galore still with xfinity tv.... Anyone found a way?
Error is invalid IMEI problem

I tried contacting Dell last week for an answer with no luck, however they sent a follow-up email from the mobilty support team and so i replied with the question of when the Dell Streak 7 will get the honeycomb update as promised.
Here is their reply:
Hi Dave ,
Dell has allready started sending notificaton's for the Honeycomb update...you will also receive it Shortly
Or Else you can manually try
Go to Setting > About Phone > select System update ... and follow the instruction's

hmmm I just flashed the honeystreak on my 7, well since I enjoy having root I will wait till there is a confirmed rootable version.
Called dell, they said they are pushing out honeycomb updates for non carrier branded dell streak 7......
they recomended me calling t-mobile. Tmobile told me to call dell and ask to get my tablet added to the list of test units....

Non-carrier branded Dell Streak 7, I assume that means not wifi?
Not a carrier branded DS7, i would think means wifi version only.
according to dell, any non carrier branded dell streak 7 tablets should have the ota available now. So apparently thats the wifi only version? anyone have a wifi only version that can check for us?
Also, please get us a logcat of checking for the update and downloading it if it is available, so we can get the download link.
Mine is the wifi only version and it's not here yet. I will post as soon as i receive it.

Yeah, I have a WIFI only version and as of 8:40 Central time I do not have the update yet. However, I called Dell and they said I'd be getting it within 24 hours. As soon as I get done posting I'm going to call again!
awesome! wifi only or not, its going to have everything we need to get a fully functioning honeycomb rom running! I bet DJ_Steve would love to get his hands on it......

I hope when it becomes available someone makes an NVFlash rip, so I can flash over. I can't NVFlash back to stock, but it would be nice to have Honeycomb that was meant for us. Honeystreak is incredible, but the fact that it's ported from a 10" kinda still shows through.
EDIT: Would this also explain the recall rumors? Maybe pull it from shelves so they can start shipping with HC pre-installed, while the rest of us get an OTA update?
I just got a runtime db error on their webpage when it was trying to pull the service number checking for the update instead of the no new updates message I was seeing earlier. Wondering if they are getting slammed with people checking or are switching over...

Well...Dell employees are saying it's coming out, and the update page has changed...sounds like it's finally happening *excited*
Unfortunately, I'll still hve to wait untill a member uploads, since I can't return to 2.2, but it's nice to know it will finally be released

Whoever does make a rip will be a GOD.
I am one of those who picked my Streak 7 WiFi up from Staples. I have updated it with the official Dell update. Since updating, Netflix has stopped working. I had read that this was an issue prior to updating, but if anyone can suggest a fix without rooting, that's would be great. The other issue that I'm seeing is that it fails to recognize when it is docked. This doesn't appear to affect video output to HDMI, but the docked settings do not take effect unless you manually launch the clock application. When you go to Setting - Dock, it doesn't recognize that it is docked.
The Netflix issue isn't with HC but with the app itself. Netflix has to adjust its code to be able to run successfully on HC. The other issue has also been documented by other users.

I just downloaded the fixed app directly and I have Netflix again. The directions got copied and saved in case that sort of thing has to be done again.

Please help me get "Order and Chaos" working on my Dell Streak 7 Honeycomb 3.2!
I followed what was said in this thread in this forum. I purchased it directly from the Gameloft site, telling the site my Dell Streak 7 was a "LG Optimus 2x (Star Dop)", and it installed correctly and boots up but it needs to download additional information yet it keeps giving me the error "A problem occured and the download could not be completed successfully. Do you want to restart the download? An unstable network may cause problems when downloading." I am given a YES and NO option and I keep hitting yes and it attempts something for a split second then keeps coming up with the same error. I am unable to download the game data so I can play. This forum is showing lots of Dell Streak 7 people playing the game and I want to so bad.
My Dell Streak 7 is stock Honeycomb 3.2, never rooted. What do I need to do to fix this please?
Do you have a SD card in? A lot of time apps want to offload their downloaded data to there.

Ok I installed a freshly formatted FAT32 4GB SD Card into the Dell and it is showing it mounted and having 3.73GB free and I am still getting the same exact message. What should I do?
Out of desperation to play this game I did a compete restore of the system, all system files and user data. Still the same thing.

Hi just got the 7 plus.
I connected the phone using WiFi hotspot of my main phone.
When I try to update it during setup, it looks like it's going to start then it says waiting for Wi-Fi. I skipped that part then went on to set up my email using said wifi, which worked.
I then came back to update the phone and it keeps giving me the same message.
I switched the SIM card and downloaded some apps because it won't even download any app, and downloading the update won't work that way as it requires WiFi.
Browsing works though as does YouTube and the Reddit app am using while on the hotspot.
Is there anything I can do to get the update on my phone?
Phone was bought from UK though I'm in Nigeria now. Don't know if that matters.
Unchecked the metered connection on the Nokia so now it downloads apps but still not the update. Keeps giving me the same message. The model of my phone is TA-1055
Is there anyway I could get the update?
