Hello guys
I was wondering how possible could it be to get options for the forum skin on the user personal preferences?
I would really like a dark color for the forum, is easier on the eyes.
Thank you
seems that you are a weird guy
Brightnes colors are easy for the eye, you know (have you ever heard about that you must to watch tv with lights on!?)

They are better if there are other sources of light around other than the screen, however if the environment is dark a darker screen will be easier on the eye.
I am in front of the monitor as my only source of light most of the times, so for me a darker skin would be great.

Hey, just wanted to know what color you use?
I have been using red forever but just switched to green, kind of liking it but don't really know if I want to stick with it.
**This is only for the default theme colors, not you homebrewed people who are lucky enough to choose your own lol.
i like the blue one!
Using the Advanced Config. jailbroken tool, I've set a custom red/orange colour as my highlight - looks great on the black background :]
I've been thinking about jailbreaking mine but I think I'll just hold off, the green is keeping me content for now, lol.
Lime seems to be a popular color, I couldn't get used to it.
My Favourite colour is Blue, so blue me
I change it often but its been blue since mid january
now that i saw this, i might change it to orange...
I like the white background with brown tiles
the os is very pretty when
1)light background colors, darker tiles color
2)Darker background colors, light tiles color
I agree with the light/dark background thing carmen.
I tried using the light background but for some reason everytime I do, I switch it back after a few seconds. I guess I'm so used to the dark background that the white background looks too damn bright for me.
But no lie, the light background looks GREAT with Lime.
Black background looks great with lime too
That's what I use anyway. Second to lime I like purple/black.
So its not just me that likes lime Black and lime is a killer
Also red for secondary
I've been on magenta for a day, but flipping back and forth between lime and orange..I wish the orange was deeper though
either Teal or customized Blue for me. A little less saturated sky blue. Both on light background. My darker days are over
Just started trying Lime with White background & I like it a lot more than with black background, its niceee
Lol the white background with Magenta just reminded me of T-Mobile, lmfao. That should be how they come out of the box with all T-Mobile WP7 phones.
I like the dark background with the Green tiles. Shame I cannot get a Grey tiles on dark background.
nice boobs carmen
EDIT: oh well...the htc lime on black background is what i use most...i also quite like the blue, but it reminds me of the omnia7 (just as the red reminds me of the optimus7)

yeah true, also shame that they didn't include a more vibrant orange or a nice yellow...
shame as well they didn't include more background colors...
well maybe they'll come as an ultra magical feature in future updates

A color wheel would be a great "magical" feature. However, I am very happy with my device at this time. No need changing something that isn't broke.
Update: FauxDisplay (and the spreadsheet) have been updated with new names for the gray scales and gradients. Also, the gradient columns come before the the gray scale columns now so don't get mixed up when inputting values! And when submitting values please go ahead and start putting the gradients first so it's easier to read
Hi everyone! I've read that many people have said that they are experiencing a yellow / blue tint on their screens when viewing at certain angles and are attempting to tweak their color settings to improve it. Or you could just be trying to make your screen look sexier in general, what do I know?
Now back in the Galaxy Nexus forums we had a publicly accessible spreadsheet just for different color settings and I thought that we could do the same here. As more kernels come out we will most likely be seeing different color variations with each one so here is where everyone can share their own personal color settings for all to try! :good:
Also, if you see the bolded line (besides the ones from the devs), those are the settings that I personally use and recommend
Now the spreadsheet is split up into 3 sheets. Sheet 1 is Gamma, Sheet 2 is Gradient / Gray, and Sheet 3 is Basic. A quick explanation:
Gamma - Franco's introduced gamma settings
Gradient / Gray - Faux's introduced settings (gradients and gray scales)
Basic - basic RGB values along w/ amp 0 and amp 1
This will keep the spreadsheet looking more organized instead of having everything crammed into one sheet, enjoy!
I'm looking forward to seeing (and trying!) all the different display configurations from everybody! :highfive:
So everyone please feel free to share your colors here :cyclops:

Added mine. You should link to the Nexus 4 Display Control app in OP.

I've started off with a pretty simple spreadsheet for now and will add more sections / headers as the features arrive (such as contrast, CAB, etc.). Feel free to let me know if I've missed anything and I'm looking forward to seeing (and trying!) all the different display configurations from everybody! :highfive:

Public Spreadsheet
Also, I will try to make frequent backups of the spreadsheet because there are those childish people out there who just love to wipe the spreadsheets clean for their own amusement.

Not sure how any app is going to improve viewing angle colors.
sent via xda premium with Nexus 7 or Nexus 4!

I've just read about people trying to fix their tint issues and it's alleviating it for some. But like I said, it's not just about fixing issues really. Everyone has different color preferences in general too.
Added couple values.
Of course we have childish people messing up the spreadsheet (again) so I will be making backups often, thanks for everyone who have input values.
Added some values as well.
I think you really have to experiment for your self as every screen will be different. I used an app called Display Tester for patterns. The best i could get the blue was 1.6 for gamma. I set red and green to 1.8 which put rest around the 2.2 goal. I'm still playing with color levels though.

Nice! And you are right, every display is different. It will be interesting to see all the different combinations
I went ahead and added a value set that another user posted in Faux's thread. I have to say, these are really beautiful on my screen

Added my values. Aimed for as closely calibrated to 2.2 across the board as possible. Also, link display tester app in OP please, best way to check gamma values.
No matter what I do max I can get for blue is 1.8. Settled with that and r2.2,g2.2.

Done! I see a lot of people saying 2.2, is that the most preferred one? The spreadsheet is filling up a bit, keep it coming guys!

I noticed a lot of people adding to the list are not reading and mixing up the columns under Gamma Blue and Gamma Green (as fauxclock is Gamma Green -> Gamma Blue)
I'm tempted to fix it. There's no way Gamma Green can be 31 and Gamma Blue <10 without it looking like a hot mess.

Oh wow I mixed up the order on that one, huh? Thanks for catching that, I will fix it now. I've switched the columns now but I'm not sure if people really got confused or not. I set my B up to 31 and G to 9 and it wasn't a mess on my screen. Just a slight green tint, hm....
Attention: Everyone make sure your values are in the right order as I mixed up the gamma order and did RBG instead of RGB. I have corrected it now, sorry for the mix up.
You're going to have to restore the spreadsheet. Some fool from University of Newcastle messed with it (?). I guess that's what happens when it's public...

Everything looks in order to me, what exactly happened? And I try to do frequent back ups so restoring it shouldn't be a problem most of the time. But if it does get to the point where it's so bad with people coming in and messing with it I will create one just for viewing and then open a separate for public add ons. That way I can add it to the viewable as I please. Or people can just post their settings here and I will add it. We had the same problem in the Galaxy Nexus forums
You can add an application form and read-only the spreadsheet. :good:
Over the next few weeks I plan on developing an icon pack. I'll start by making icons for all the apps on my device then I'll begin taking requests and user submits. All icons will be HD and the color palette will follow the material design color palette. My question is what do YOU all want from an icon pack ? Round or square ? Minimal or wild ? Round or sharp corners ? These are just some of the basic design elements and feel free to tell me if you want something not listed. Those are just examples.

i say pick one that is unique in its own way.
I've been using flux, which looks amazing. Minimalistic with just the right amount of color. I like dark themes. What are some of your favorites that I might like?
