Calendar events not showing up - Motorola Droid and Milestone General

Hi,
My wife has a motorola milestone and since yesterday the events she has on her google calendar are no longer showing up. If she sets up a new event on the cellphone it stays there and they are even copied to the google calendar, but the ones from the google calendar do not show up at all. I've already went to settings, accounts and made sure her google account was checked as well as auto-synch. I've also forced synching and even though it finished synching properly the google events still don't show up. I don't have a milestone so my knowledge is limited to the general android platform.
Any thoughts?

I did some tests:
- I've created an event ON the phone and forced synching and it did show up on the google calendar on my laptop.
- I've created an event ON my laptopss' google calendar and forced synching on the phone and it did show up on the phones' calendar.
The older events and events that repeat no longer show up on the phone although they are still on google calendar.
Any thoughts?

Calendar sync issues

Hi I just received my galaxy, so possible a NOOB problem.
The problem is that I have a google calendar, and on my phone it sees both the appointments I have done on the phone and the google appointments - so this is fine.
If I make a appointment via a computer at the net on the google calendar, then it will show up on the phone calendar - this is fine.
BUT if I make an appointment on the phone - it will not show up on the google calendar on the net.
It seems like the phone uses "My Calendar" which is not synced with the google calendar - so have I missed a setting somewhere?
Thanks
When you did the calender mark did you choose google calender and not the phone calender?? take a close look so u have choose that before apply the appointment/mark in the cal. when you set the day/clock under that you can choose what calender to use....I missed that too...
Ok thanks - found the setting.
Is it possible to change the behaviour, so that when you make an appointment on the phone it is by default using the google calendar and not the phone calendar?
I dont think you can set it as default..not sure. With some app maybe? I just have my Galaxy for 4 days so everything is new
Thanks, compared to me you are very experienced (had mine for 1 day)
I would also be interested in a way to change the default.
Additionally I'd like to have the automatically created birthday events appear in one of my Google calendars, not in the phone calendar. Has anybody an idea on how to do that?
It says "with Google" on the phone, if I'm selling my soul to Google, at least I'd like to do it completely and thoroughly.
I'm syncing with my Yahoo Calendars, my 2 Gmail account Calendars
also contact from those 3 accounts too, and IM from MSN, google, yahoo, tweeter, facebook
this phone is Amazing! at keeping everything in sync
just make sure on the account page your accounts are all with the Green sync circle

[Q] Calendar - Ghost entry

Hello,
Searched for my question but couldn't find specific or similar thread.
Situation:
1. I have a Captivate with Stock 2.2 and from last 2 days on Cognition 4.4.6
2. I maintain my calendar tracking in MS Outlook and sync it with Google Calendar using Google Calendar Sync software (set to sync every 120 minutes).
3. I use CalWidget app to display the Google calendar on home screen (not that this point is important)
Problem & steps taken:
About 2 months back I had created a recurring event in MS Outlook (basically to remind myself to pay my rent - called getRent) and by mistake set the recurrence to daily rather than first day of the month. After sometime, I saw on my phone that I set the recurrence incorrectly.
I realized the error and set the recurrence right in MS Outlook. It did sync properly with Google Calendar. Now the Outlook and Google Calendar do show the event occurrence correctly to be once a month but when I see it on my phone, it still has daily occurrence.
When I see the event details for getRent on phone Calendar, in 'Repeat' attribute, it says 'Custom...(cannot customize on phone)'
I delete the event series from phone but the next time the phone syncs, the ghost entry shows up again.
I tried removing the sync between my google account and phone completely and resynced but it happened again.
Any suggestions? Am I missing anything ?

[Q] Loss of sync toggle-ability on update?

I received, despite my best efforts, a system update this weekend.
AFAIK, before the update I was able to individually turn off sync services. For example, I disable sync to google contacts and calendar.
I have a syncml server at my office, and I set up my users with smartphones to sync to that using synthesis. I have found that when both google and syncml services are active my users (and me) get duplicate contact and calendar entries.
I am pretty sure that I had that turned off on my droid 3 before the update.
So I was surprised to find that the little toggles in the individual services under my google account were no longer there, and google services were happily syncing away. I suddenly found myself with three times the contacts I had on Friday night.
Has anyone else seen this change?

[Q] Can't sync Google Calendar to Phone

When I got the HTC One the other day, I was using Google Calendar as the default calendar so I thought once I synced the calendar on the HTC One with the Google calendar I would have everything but that doesn't seem to be the case. Also have Pocket Informant calendar installed and that has the same problem. Events for last month and this month and some recurring birthdays are there and also the current month but nothing else. Is there a way to get previous events reloaded in? The events are the main thing. They are all on the Google calendar when I look at the web page.
Tried installing Calengoo, another calendar program, and told it to sync to Google calendar and it syncs everything going back several years. But in the native calendar that comes with the HTC One and PI I only get the current month and recurring dates like birthdays.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling PI. Oddly enough when I uninstalled it the phone rebooted. When I reinstalled it everything was gone. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
I notice too that HTC Sync is turned off and there's no option to turn it on again. Don't know if this is related.
______________
settings>account>gmail account> check if calendar is checked
Yes, it's checked. This may be a tough one.
mhhh then try to remove that account and re-add it
You may have meant remove the mail account. There's no calendar account. Since HTC Sync seemed to be messed up, I removed that, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere to add it back. Now it's gone and there's no account add under accounts and sync. Can't find it in the play store either.

[Q] Google Calendar Sync Issues??

Just noticed that some events established through Google Calendar on the desktop are not syncing to the One. Most events are syncing -- seems to be sporadic and random - I can't see a pattern to the events being omitted.
I discovered the problem when I checked on a reminder I set up during May 2014 as an all day event which did not sync over to the One. I started to poke around and noticed that another event during that same month didn't come over to the phone either. So it isn't just a one time thing. I tried clearing calendar data from the phone and resyncing, turning the phone off and on, deleting and re-adding the event - I even deleted and reimported all my events for the entire calendar through the desktop version, cleared calendar data on the phone and resynced. Still the same certain events that are established in Google Calendar on the desktop are not syncing to the phone.
The final twist is that they are syncing correctly to my iPad calendar. This is what leads me to believe that it is a problem on the phone side.
Anyone else noticing something amiss with some calendar events around a year out not syncing to their phone?
(Also tested using the Google Calendar App in addition to the HTC stock app - same problem regardless of the calendar app)
