I flashed my firmware and samsung kies doesnt read it so I cant update my phone.
Running on 2.2.1
PDA : I9003DDKB2

Na, the PDA is Indian, but he is using Traditional Chinese area modem and CSC file. I think he better go samfirmware and get I9003ZTKC1 or so.
Just my 2 cents.

Dude nothing to worry just flash your phone with xxkb3 f.w

Well, u mean just flash with the PDA?
I have tried it and it screwed up with Asia type modem/CSC.
If there is a work around, please let me know.

There is an info, that SGSL will receive 2.3 at first or second week of July. And European fw will receive an update at the first.

are you sure froyo has been released for your specific phone/carrier? Froyo comes out for different countries at different times, so depending on where you are you might not be at 2.2 yet. When you plug your phone into your computer and connect via kies does it say there is an update available? If not then you are most likely at the latest ROM for your area.
Searched abt this in google.
Froyo Released for india.
When I run firmware update in kies,it shows Firmware details, "upgrade" button is disabled and Text "This firmware can't be installed on your device.

Contact the network or Samsung service centre .
Or take the other route and flash your own firmware .
Read posts first pages general first .
Flashing your own firmware will void your warranty may brick your phone .So as its not your phone i would not .##

Also make sure you are running the latest version of Kies
I will that and tell u.

Flash the official Indian Froyo firmware (DDJP6) yourself using ODIN... There's information about that all over these forums.

[Q] SGS Vibrant I9000M upgrade to Gingerbread 2.3.4!

Hi,
Is it possible to upgrade with the recently leaked European Gingerbread 2.3.4 image to the Bell's Vibrant I9000M?
I'm currently running Froyo 2.2, firmware UGKC1. Have downloaded the official 2.3.4 from samfirmware.com and already rooted and unlocked my phone.

It is... i would suggest going this route instead of through the one from samfirmware.
I use darky's ROM. I upgraded to 10.1 (it is 2.3.3), then recently upgraded via CWM to Dark Core 2.7.3 (which has the 2.3.4 GB firmware). Beware that the core is beta at this time, and so far in 2 days i haven't had any real issues on my phone.
www.darkyrom.com, then check the forums.
We are quite in Sync. Co-incidentally I upgraded to Darky's ROM(10.1) about an hour back. I'll give a try to the Beta now. Pls do share your experience with the beta overtime.
Thanx

So far so good... other than my battery. Although i do have a momax 2700mah battery, it only lasted 30ish hours before it died... including using superpower to manage night time usage. I should be getting more than that with this battery (and i have done the reconditioning with the battery since i got it).
Even with 10.1 i got a day and a half or so... but the half day doesn't work for me as i need it for a full day.
Now that i've done one round of recondition on my battery, i'm anxious to see how good the battery will last now.
10.1 works with the JVP kernel fine (at least some of the features for it). I had to upgrade gtalk to the video talk version myself though (although i'm sure it'll be included in the next darkyrom).
Let me know what you think of it...
Hey guys i am also on the I9000M through bell and would love to get the gingerbread on here but the last time i tried i couldnt connect to my 3g for wireless and i couldnt call out or recieve calls please tell me the guide you used because man that gingerbread was fast and smooth.
Right now heres what my phone status is
Model number GT I9000M
Firmware version 2.2
Baseband version I9000UGKC1
Kernel version 2.6.32.9
[email protected] #4
Build number FROYO UGKC1
Thanks in advance for any help
ps my phone is already rooted
you can get gingerbread, but you need to take the extra step of flashing the kc1 modem, or do the 850 band tweak on a euro modem

I could say after if you using Odin.
But before starting ask yourself what do you really want....
Just the 2.3.4 stock or a custom rom (like Darky's), rooted?, Aply a new theme?

Official ICS Belgium?

Hi
I was wondering if it's normal that there's still no official ics upgrade available in Belgium. I own a Note who's at 2.3.6 now. No ICS yet.. Checked with OTA update and Kies on my computer... Any idea when this will come around in my area? I have a "XX" phone version which is aught to be a Belgium version of the device.
Thanks in advance

Try uninstalling Kies and then reinstall it again. Look for updates for Kies after the installation and then connect your phone to Kies through USB (better not use a usb-hub).
You could also flash this rom http://www.hotfile.com/dl/157417221/c9a3748/N7000XXLQ2_N7000XEULP4_XEU.zip.html with Odin manualy (not for Carphone Warehouse)
also double check you are not rooted if using kies
if u r the kies wont update
ICS has not yet been made available to all galaxy notes as OTA. more and more countries are being updated, but there are still some countries and carriers that dont have it yet.
ie. im in australia, but my phone is the polish PLUS model. still stuck on gingerbread. tempted to flash to another gingerbread version and then update OTA, but i dont feel like setting everything up on my phone again.
yeah i dont wanna set it all up again, spent weeks sorting it out. i guess ill just have to wait....
if my phone is unlocked though who will the update come from?

[Q] How to update to official Jelly Bean

My Dad has the original unlocked Note, and I'm wondering how I can update to the official Jelly Bean without rooting or voiding warranty, as it isn't showing up in the OTA menu.
Open Samsung kies and Let it download the update or go to settings and update via OTA
Let me know if you have issues with this we will walk you through it
I've tried updating via both Kies and in About Phone, both places say that it's the most recent firmware available.
OK you are on a version that hasn't received the OTA yet.
You will have to install it via PC Odin.
Go to Dr.ketan's sticky thread for step by step instructions.
