If your phone is CDMA (sprint/verizon) make sure you have a CDMA ROM (there arent very many available), if not try flashing the phone again from the rainbow screen (bootloader) you may want to download the ROM again too, some people have had bad downloads.
so i can redo it from rainbow screen
Yes Put your phone in boot loader ( rainbow screen) and reflash. Who is your cell carrier? If it is Verizon or sprint then get a CDMA rom, AT&T and T-Mobile get a GSM rom
its sprint
wen i tried it said that i dont have usb on, its not readin it

When you put it in boot loader then plug in your USB cord does it go from serial to usb on your phones screen? It may take a min for it to change
it says to follow the instruction on the pc to sync or sumthing like that
and restarts
and again on that TP2 screen and not doin anything
ok step by step.
1. uplug phone from pc
2. Pull out bat and put it back in
3. hold volume down to get to boot loader
4. plug in USB cable ( it should read on the last 1/3 of the screen near the bottom USB
5. Grab a CDMA rom from HERE or HERE
6. FLash the rom you got from step 5
i did that
but it doesnt do anything from the boot loader
just has all the micro stuff and numbers
but nothin in the usb part
i no i am a goof and it seems frustratin to u
but i appriciate or help

Its cool. IF you look at the last white part of the screen on the bottom you should see something that says SERIAL when no cord is plugged in or USB once it is plugged in
If you dont then we can try using the SD card method
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the Rhodium Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your PC
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the .nbh file to RHODIMG.nbh
4. Copy the RHODIMG.nbh file to the root of your MicroSD Card
5. Plug the MicroSD Card into the phone
6. Enter the BootLoader screen, you will first see a tri-color screen with the phone and SPL Information at the top
7. Follow the On Screen instructions to start the update
8. After flash has completed, press the reset button with the stylus to reset the device.
yes it does say that
its on usb now
goin to try again
Why don't you take out your SD card and put it in your PC and drag and drop the verizon stock rom on the SD card...That would be just the nbh file...name it rhodimg.nbh then put the sd card back in and then put it into bootloader and flash it back that way?
Yea, just what zelendel instructed you to do....
this is the error
plz make sure its properly synced
plz retry after syncing

Once it is done then follow the last step and use the stylus to hit the rest button after removing the sd card and it should boot up full. Where did you get the rom?

[Q] Green Screen Of Death

Anyone Experience this?
Phone was on stock firmware from AT&T (never been rooted)
Plugged Phone Into the computer & opened Odin3Excution v1.00 & booted the phone into Download Mode and clicked Start on Odin. looked back at the phone minutes later and the phone had a full green screen. waited & waited and neither the phone or Odin were making progress. pulled the phone off the USB pulled the battery. restarted the computer and tried again. Now the phone will not boot at all not even the at&t smart phone screen and it wont boot into recovery or download mode.
The phone is being processed through warranty, I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with this or knows what happened. Thanks!
BTW the phone was charged 100% and the sim & sd card werent in the device.
Move to Question Thread
Can a Admin move this to the question section. Sorry for posting in Dev.
Very interesting. Never heard of this. Pull the battery out and wait lets say 1h
Then plug the battery back and hold both volume buttons while inserting the USB. Dont touch the power button.

You can try not waiting at all at first. Just pull it out, put it it and follow what I said earlier.
i had a green screen in the middle of a flash back to stock with ODIN one click (every usb device stopped working on my machine at once)
fired it back up in download mode and odin'd it...no problem
Yep.. Mine too, two times, except that the screens was Light Blue and Yellow..
Moved to Q&A.
Lol funniest thing that I read this thread and then thought, wow must be one of the lucky one's cause that never happened. Next thing i know I go to flash back to stock and when i look over it was the green screen. I was like NOOOOO! So now im trying to install the drivers on my bro's comp since my windows partition is being a...well you know. Tried to use heimdall but I don't have the stock bootloader....just the sbl. Can anyone throw me a bone?

Advice, if you don't wanna risk it, find a win machine and use odin one click downloader
Sorry to resurrect and old thread, but it was either this or start a new thread for the same problem.
I was flashing back to stock from Mosaic and this happened. Green screen and nothing else. Now it won't turn on or go back into download mode. Think a jig will help this?.
Edit: Waited about 10 mins and tried again. IT LIVES!!!!
it is worth a try of jig if key combo does not work.
the same thing just happened to me. i was using odin3excution v1.00 to flash back to stock before taking the phone in to AT&T to get the warranty replacement. i got the teal/green/blue screen at factortrfs, it just sat there and killed everything usb on my computer. i pulled the battery and tried to reboot into download/turn it on/plug it in, no response whatsoever. i have the battery pulled and im waiting to try again, but if that does nothing, what can i do? i could take it in and tell them it did this in the middle of the kies update, but is that even believable? any help is appreciated, i don't have a jig and making one is last resort. thanks brothersss

[Q] stuck on G1 boot screen (different than others)

I am stuck on the G1 boot screen. this is the same part, but I've tried home+power, camera+power, vol down+power, call+power and any other combination.
Only when I hold the action(mouse like button)+power I can see blue led is on
please help on that
Hmmm try plug the phone into the computer and keep trying different combinations until you get FASTBOOT USB in red at the top left of the g1 screen
I'm not exactly sure how to get into this but I know I've got into it a few times when it was plugged in
Please tell us if you get it
I was trying to update spl or radio I dont remember which one cause this. I will keep trying.
did you loose power during the radio/spl update?
well, actually i did not loose power, but it stock on boot screen on update and I remove battery desperately. its been 1 month I can not use my g1

Well you bricked when it got stuck on the boot screen
If it got stuck that means you flashed the wrong spl/radio
Sent from my Dream/Sapphire using Tapatalk
You can get into fastboot mode by pressing POWER + CAMERA and plug in your phone with USB. I was so dumb enough that my brother almost cried when i not even soft-brickes his phone, after one friggin' year of research, i saw that i just need to flash another ROM. If that doesn't work, then I am sorry, your phone is bricked. If you can remember what radio/spl-combo you flashed, i can do more research.
Or do you even know what ROM you flashed????

Well there you have it, mostly, it has to reboot and get stuck on the splash screen, then it reboots into recovery. That may be the cause of your brick. Another problem is, that all those guides are not so exact at telling their readers what to do. Next time you're following a guide, just look at the maker of the thread if he's at least a senior member.

Screwed the pooch totally this time..

Not sure how I did it, but I am stuck at the Red LG logo with the white LG letters and my phone will go no further. It will not shut down without a battery pull. I have tried to do the hold down volume and factory reset the phone, same screen pops back up. Plugged in does nothing either. It is like it lost the ability to boot.
I ask here for maybe some guidance from a dev. If wrong place, please move it.
I can not get into the recovery, regular boot, computer to recognize it.. Nothing at all... Is there an actual boot image to put on the sd card to boot to?
Any suggestions??

What did you do right before this point?
I think my mistake was going into Rom Manager to see if I had anything showing clockwork installed. Phone restarted and i was at this point since. Not sure if I told it to update a clockwork or not. Head is fried now from messing with it..

Ok, I can get you fixed but I can just about promise you that you will be in test mode,
I don't own this phone (almost did) but curious, how Wood you fix that? Does LG have a tool like rsd lite (moto) or odin4 (sammy) ?

I looked at that thread, but I can't see how I would go about that when I can not get anything on the phone beside the LG logo. I can't plug it in and select internet connection or install any software drivers from the phone on the first line. I have called Verizon and they are sending me out another phone, but I would like to get this one fixed if I can..

You can get into emergency mode to flash the tot file in lgnspt.
1 Pull Battery
2 Press and hold volume up + power
3 Plug phone into computer (while still holding buttons)
4 Put battery back in (while still holding buttons)
5 You should now enter emergency mode
Can u enter CWM? By holding down pwer and vol down. Then confirm data wipe (it won't) then reboot into cwm? If u can try to install a rom

I need help asap

okay i was puttiing a new rom on my phone and long story short i deleted everything and now i get stuck at the htc boot screen and CAN NOT get any further past that, im not sure what or if anything i can do to fix this, some one please help, email me will be quicker, [email protected]
im used to working with samsung phones not htc and im stuck in quicksand with this one.
Did you make a backup in recovery? I tried to flash a ROM once and it got stuck on the HTC screen but I somehow managed to hold the power button for a while and reboot back into recovery to restore to my previous ROM.
Question about situation
Normally in this situation you could hold Vol Down+Power until the unit shuts off then let go of Power and continue holding volume down. This should drop you back off in HBoot/Fastboot from here you could get back to the recovery screen and most recoveries now allow for ADB access to repush or flash another install.
If you are able to get into Recovery what are you currently running?

there is absolutely no rom on it now, so theres nothing on the phone. i think my only hope would be trying to run something of an sd card or hope that i can run some program on a computer.
twrp isn't installed as well. everything got erased, i think what i have to do is send the files over through terminal if i can get it connected via usb, idk. im not sure, i feel like I've really done myself in on this one, some one save my skin please

i don't want to sound like a noobie but how would i get that to flash i can't pull up any screens besides the htc white screen
Have you tried pressing power while holding the vol up button then when the screen goes black pressing and holding the volume down button to get into the bootloader? If you can get into the bootload (and I suspect you probably can if the phone still gets to the white HTC screen) you can flash a recovery and then flash a rom.
nothing is wrong with your phone nor do you need an sd...if u know how to use adb...push the rom back to the phone in recovery..simple as that..sd card works too but youll be fine which ever way...u have no problem
