Need some help after compile

Hi all,
first excuse my poor English...
I have successfully compile ROM and kernel from Cyanogen repository, i have 2 questions about that, on the first boot, Nexus ask me with what application i want to launch the "pre config utils" (Select language and configure Google account)
and when i open Terminal and type $"su" i got "Permission Denied" so Nexus was not rooted, i don't know where is my fault...
If someone can help me about or all-ready got this two issues ?

Tun.ko for SGS I9000B

Hi everyone,
first of all, thanks to everyone willing to help a newbie! I have been struggling to be able to use Cisco VPN (VPNC) on my SGS.
I have read many guides, and they all seem to point to the same steps: I have rooted my phone, but now I'm missing the TUN.ko library VPNC needs to run. I have read many forums, and it seems there is a particular tun version for every kernel which I need to install.
When I try to insmod the tun.ko version I have I got the following error:
"2.6.32.9-27220-g328f560 preempt mod_unload ARMv7 should be 2.6.32.9 mod_unload ARMv7"
Any chance anyone might lead me to what version of tun might work for 2.6.32.9? I would be amazing if someone can help me.

[Q] Baseband problem with rom

The problem is to this [ROM] LinuXperia Escha Arch 2.Fırtına ...
I have correct baseband as you can see in the attachment, but
when i'm going to install this rom
i get a message like: " your baseband is not the same version"
What am i doing wrong?
If anyone can help me i will appreciate it!!

Its for miniCM6 but i think it should work for all rom which include “validate” file. Hope this help

Im using CM 7.2 RC1 hero ported to X8 but when i want check logcat it just blank doesn't appear anything.

lsusb i havent problems, but when i type
iwconfig doesn't show the interface. Any
