I love the bounce effect at the stock lg ROM, cyanogenmod has the same thing called overscrolling but it isnt so snappy as in the LG rom
how can i get this bounce effect from the lg rom to cyanogenmod, it would be so better
is there any way to port it or does it already excist
You can adjust it's effect in CyanogenMod settings if that's any help.

Well, Salvage mod introduces a lot of the great features about cm, while adding our own, as well as our attempt to make the rom overall more user friendly. We also only currently build for 2 devices. The full changelog in post 2 should tell you more

Thanks! Hope you enjoy it. Camera does work and I haven't been able to find any bugs as of yet. I don't have data so maybe someone eelse will be able to confirm all that working. I don't see a reason why it shouldn't though.
Everything works.
It looks a bit like a cross between CM7 And Ultimate Droid.. I was using CM7 since the first RC and I began to hate it.. did you pull a lot of code from CM?

Core device properties are pulled from cm. There are a few other features we have pulled from cm but certainly not everything.
Alright cool, I'll give it a shot later today! Thanks for the work!
Installed this a few hours ago. Looks like a nice ROM, pretty stable too. Might be a little worse on battery life than CM7 and MIUI but it's early. Nice work.

Thanks. As always you'll want the rom to settle through at least one full discharge charge to gauge battery. Usually makes a difference =P
might try this, bored at work.
im suprised how small the file size is. 65 megs....cm7 is 85
Definitely looks slick. I will flash tonight and report back tomorrow
This is a very good ROM in my opinion. It's nice to see another AOSP ROM, especially another great one.
i really like the settings menu
I like the ROM, but I can't find where I can use my custom ringtones.
Never mind somehow they were deleted?!?

Deleted from your SD card? Unless u wiped your sd the update script shouldn't touch sd
I really hate the lockscreen on my O2X. It's laggy and slow.
Is there a simple way to change it to the default froyo/gingerbread one?
I've seen some widget programs that change it, but im afraid this takes up CPU/Mem.

search for lock in a market
Widgetlocker works good for me. It has planty of good themes avaliable so you can make it look exactly as you want it.
Search for the "stock patch pack - AOSP - style lock screen" by Paul in the development forum. You will need ClockWorkMod, though.
Sent from my LG-P990

People say it uses a LOT of battery... even on the app in the marked. I think that android it self uses enought battery as it is...
Change the LG launcher. It will improve the speed of all animations.

Hey All
1st post here.
Im from Cape Town, South Africa.
I have recently installed Slimbean 2.3 on my Galaxy S. Was on Slim ICS 4.2 before.
Everything works like a charm and I am very happy.
One thing that I havent managed to figure out yet, is the following. (And yes, I have searched, and also Im not allowed to post in the Slimbean thread):
On the lockscreen, where you have the unlock slider, I can not find the "sound/silent/vibrate" toggle anywhere.
So when your phone is locked and you want to change it to quiet/silent without having to unlock first, you simply slide to the "sound on/off" shortcut and it changes the phone setup to silent or vibrate and vice versa.
I have tried to find the setting in ASS lockscreen settings and I can change it to all sorts of app shortcuts, etc, I just cant find the sound switch
It was one of the standard options on Slim ICS roms.
Someone please help?
Cheers
Bus
Already considered that it just isn't included in Slim Bean (yet)?

Thank you for the reply. I assume you are THE Dark knight man?
I suppose its possible for it to not be included yet...
But you godlike devs astound me with the magic that you come up with
So as a mere mortal, I just expected something so minor to be incorporate almost as a given, hehehe...
Will wait and see
thanks
Bus
Now on Slimbean 2.4 and still no option for this.
Anyone who can help?
Or know how to make it work?
Thanks
they haven't included those lock screens since GB roms
you should use an application for that capability
Hey,
I don't really need a lot of the features in 4.2 that much, but I'd like the quick setting thing. Can someone port that to 4.1.2?
Or even easier, can someone explain how I can build JUST the SystemUI apk from the android repo, and not the whole thing, so I can try to do that myself?
Thanks
There are so many good toggles apps out there (that is if you're not using a custom rom that already has it built in).
why would you like an extra page with settings that arent even quick ...they are just shortcuts ...
sure i tested knzo's and thedarkdude's 4.2 port and the page turn effect is eye catchy... but i see no meaning to it per all.
Ps: iamthedarkone is his name . A am aware of that .

I like the look of the quick "settings" thing on 4.2. Also, if I knew how to build just the SystemUI, maybe I'd be able to make them actual quick setting, instead of what they are now. I do have notification toggles through an app, but I'm not really fond of having a used notification spot just for that. that's why I'd rather have the 4.2 thing.
I use it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=apocalipsisx.controlpanel

thanks, but that still requires a notification spot, and it feels as bit sluggish. I currently use Power Toggles.

Good mornung sir. If you are feeling limber and wanting to program. There is a stock guide to porting 4,2 quick settings panel by bootmgr and spacecaker its pretty easy. I am currently porting it over along with lidroid toggles. The only thing is you gotta add your own toggles
Hi, I was just wondering. Some review sites say that the Mini's lockscreen has the same water ripple effect as the original S3, but I can seem to find where to enable it? All I have is the animation for unlock that looks a bit like from the Tab's swipe lock screen, Honeycomb like animation effect.
It was there in 4.1.1, but with update to 4.1.2 is gone. But it can be easy enable, just look in apps and theme section or use google how to do it

I've been using BenzROM v6 that restores that functionality. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2119219 if you want to look)
this is why there is a search function on these forums
the other thing is that we seem to have a lot of users registering just to post questions that have already been asked and answered
