Hello,
I'm on ATT network and using Captivate can not make that application to update weather while on 3G network. If I use WiFi it works fine but not on ATT network. Wondering if it's my ROM or ATT network or Captivate issue in general.

I am also using a Captivate on the ATT network. It is rooted and using Paragon R6. Go Weather will only update if it has a WiFi connection.

So, it's either Captivate or ATT network issue. Will post in another ATT device thread.

Works beautifully on my rooted Captivate on AT&T. I also run the widget, it's the best weather app there is. Might try enabling data roaming in your phone settings.
EDIT: Go Weather works just fine with either Wi-Fi or data. Rooted Captivate running Andromeda³ and ROM is Ursa-Major 2.
But I want to point out that Go Weather also worked fine on stock, unrooted. Again, Wi-Fi and/or 3G.

Update; a new version has just been posted 1.9.13 and it has - among other things - network and update fixes.

Today i flashed my gti9000m to 2.3.3 successfully with oden but for some reason my phone can not pick up my mobile data/3G signal even when i set it on, i am with virgin mobile canada
Any suggestions for a fix?

carrier settings
you will need to ring virgin andget the mobile data carrier settings for your service on your phone. These settings are in settings>wireless and networks>mobile networks>access points.
In there, should be the specific settings for the carrier ie. virgin.
Without these settings you will not be able to browse the net on your phone or send receive sms or mms. Hope this helps.

JVO does support WCDMA850 by default.

Thing is there is a fix for data and roaming issues on NA networks the KC1 modem has that you probably should be using. That being said... I've used them both side by side and you'll get longer battery life with JVO. So its a trade off

first off.. .the search is not working on the site so I was unable to search for this information.
I have a froyo galaxy tab with all the phone features enabled (edge data only though). I am in the U.S. and using a t-mobile tab on the Atnt network. All this works GREAT currently (though would love to have 3g and phone at the same time).
My question is can I upgrade to gingerbread or honeycomb (when it is released and no longer alpha) or will doing so remove my phone features?
Is there a modem firmware that allows 3g and phone at the same time yet?
no...not for Tmo tab on ATT especially....even Tmo tab on Tmo network you can't get voice and 3G at same time...only voice+2g or 3g only with modem switcher...we att tabs can get 3g and voice simultaneously tho...please search galaxy tab development section under Modems please

I have modem switcher, but don't use it too much I just leave it on 2g+phone which works reliably... which is most important.
Anyone have an answer about potentially upgrading to gingerbread or Honeycomb with a tab that is in the U.S. and has the phone enabled?

I have an ATT tab on gingerbread and can confirm that voice and data work fine on the overcome ROM. It should be the same for the T-Mobile tab since they are both GSM based, however you still won't be able to get 3G service.

When you upgrade to gb the modem switcher will still work.
been on Overcome since the beginning...and it rocks...follow instructions on their thread to get it up and running...you need to flash the Stock European Gingerbread ROM first put you can download everything you need on the Overcome site...good luck
I just bought the unlocked T-mobile version of the galaxy tab and was trying to make calls, from my AT&t sim card. it reads my sim card and i can connect to the internet and everything is working fine except when i try to make the call it just doesn't connect it it says call ended...
Can somebody please help me regarding this should i have to do some tweaking for this have anyone faced this issue

I want to be able to have calling work as well, (exact same symtoms as OP..)calling starts then "Call Ended" and as of right now, my text messaging and internet (edge network for both of coarse) are working fine. Hell, I even my wireless hotspot, "Mobile AP" in Galaxy speak, works fine. I work for an At&t retailer, and Im rocking a TMO tab lol...wish I could have both 3g data and voice :/..... Where do I start?

Have you checked your Apn settings? I just got my calling to work on at&t finally, and my sms and data are working great..only on edge data though until I score an at&t tab someday. I merely needed modem file that I found here on xda...ill find the link. (and also thank the appropriate user)

At&t and t-mobile don't share the same hardware so they don't get 3g on the others network.
EDIT: So the internet will work GREAT in Speedtest.net, and Chrome, but myATT, Facebook & even Google Play all time out/refuse to connect to anything while on mobile data. Edge works great albeit slow, LTE does not.
So i got my HTC One yesterday, immediately S-Offed and flashed the Google Play Edition RUU following all of the guides here. Currently on the 4.3 OTA from google.
My problem is, my data speeds/connectivity, more specifically in apps (Facebook, myATT vs using a browser) are slow to nonexistant and it'll just time out. WiFi works great.
Tried the included google Radio, the official AT&T 4.2 radio for the One, and the 4.1.2 OTA update radio as well. All exhibit the same symptoms. Compared APN settings to my gf's phone (HTC One, stock) and they're identical. Any ideas fellas?
Also tried resetting APN's to default.
Also disabled LTE, so it was just on HSPA+, and it worked great. Flashed a few other radios and nada. Tapatalk works great too, just facebook and play refuse to connect over mobile data on LTE. GF has a one that is stock and it works fine right next to me.
I'm stumped!
So your GF has a stock HTC One and data on her LTE works fine. Yet on your HTC One is does not, but HSPA works.
By that of course I would stay if your HTC one on stock showed the same issues? If it did I would its either network related or hardware.
Call AT&T and double check if the HTC one is allowed to connect to LTE. It could be a provisioning problem on their end.

Would provisioning affect apps? I'm about to do a factory reset/wipe data, because I've got it narrowed down to just the Facebook app & Play store not working on LTE. Literally. Everything else is peachy.

No, but some Google Apps might use Google's DNS whitch might cause issues. As for the Facebook App I can't see why it's not working.

Everything worked fine all day. Get back to my home, phone still on H, works fine. Hops on the LTE network here, Facebook and play store dead again. But they worked on the LTE network in a different area. I give up rofl

I got ONE from AT&T (US) recently ,but i live in EU , Macedonia, i got the same problems, WI-FI working very well, every app, when i turn my mobile data some apps like whatsapp working , facebook, and browsers are not working , i tryet 4 diferent radios, tryed few roms tryed to reset apn setings, tryed automaticly (wich wass working with my Sense phone) but no success... anyone did have this problem and solved or ?

I rooted the device and used app quarantine to quarantine the files so that I can create a hotspot using my 4g signal. that process worked well. however since I got the fone I am unable to use any internet apps (eg google play fb twitter ) using my 4g signal. when using wifi these apps works as it should, however when using my 4g signal I always get the no connection error message. it should be noted that when using 4g signal I am able to use wats app and viber to chat but I cant send/ receive any sort of media (eg photos and music). can some lend some assistance on whats wrong here
Are you sure your apn's settings are ok? Are you talking about using a 4g lte network or a 3g network? I'm probably in the same situation as you since I have a sim unlocked sgh i537 and I'm using hspa with any issues.

I verified my apn settings with my service provider several times and they were able to confirm that my fone was receiving 4g data. however I still cant use the other apps. i'm still getting that error

Have you tried the obvious? Unquarantine those files and see if it works then - that way we'll know what end to start trouble-shooting in.

I was experiencing this problem before I quarantine the tethering provision file so I highly doubt quarantining this file was the cause of this problem
just to be sure I just tried un quarantining the file to see if it works ...... and it doesnt
try this :
go to settings- more networks- mobile networks- Access Point Names- then hit menu , then- reset to default.
and make sure your Mobile Data on phone is enabled.
