Started playing DD 1 ..got through the first level, started the second and froze. Now I can't even get through the first. Vegan ge shoots .40. Any thoughts? Over heat? ..or is the UV and OC doing it?
Over clocking does that it means your not stable.. try going stock speed 1.2 ghz or atleast 1ghz..
Is anyone else having problems since the update to second WAVE? Very buggy and crashes to desktop alot. Running mountain laurel.

this is for those who have been discouraged from OC kernels due to random freezing. Some vibrants (like mine) dont OC well and randomly freeze, also the heat up to 100+ degrees Fahrenheit quickly. ive tested this w/ kingklick's kernel and been running freeze free for a couple days and staying under 92 degrees and i get really good Bat life....(FB, Push Exchange Email & Twitter running in background, ESPN scoreboard widget, LWP, texting all day, plus wifi on w/ pandora running------60% battery on a class/workout day which is 9am-6pm)
Im running this w/ a stock Vibrant firmware thats rooted... (No i aint running a deodexed Stock ROM)
No u cant have a OC Kernel w/ leaked Firmware
Dwnload SetCPU (if you dont have it already)
OC to 1200MHz
- Create Profile in SetCPU for Temp > 50.0C and make it 800/200 w/ a Conservative Cpu governor.. (if u use OnDemand or make it the bottom number 100MHz, u will still freeze up.)
- Create Profile in SetCPU for Screen Off and and make it 600/200 w/ a conservative CPU governor..(if u use OnDemand or make it the bottom number 100MHz, u will still freeze up.)
Remember: Doing anything to ur phone is at ur discretion....u will b a sad panda if u blame me for u messing up ur phone

im going to try these settings, hopefully they will improve my battery life...
I'm gonna try this on my cappy. Heat wasn't an issue, but it would freak out and hardfreeze on me constantly, especially under 3d testing.
just a quick question, what is an unsafe temperature to be running the phone at? mine is typically in the high 90s but it gets to 102 when charging
normally it should get around 95 w/ heavy use
Just pulled it off the charger and since it slowed to 800mhz it seems to be doing fine. As soon as it cools i'll run a quadrant/stresstest and report back.

Mine got up to 108 on stock everything when I first got it and everything seemed fine...
Phone got quite upset again. Hardfroze on quadrant.But i am also using a completely different kernel than you guys, so i wouldn't count my opinion for much.

Your phone does not support overclock even though it has the same everything . Mine froze at 1.2ghz

Mine gets to 122° running @ 1.4ghz been running this way since nov 2010. Had no problem thus far .116° is what samsung says to not let it get past
Some phones are just not going to allow oc. But this may help some ppl be able to oc.
Has anyone underclocked their O2X? I personally think that overclock is a bit of a placebo effect so I just want to know if anyone has underclocked their phone and if they can kindly share the performance of the phone as well as some benchmarks. I've seen people underclock their Galaxy S2 right down to 500mhz and performance is very smooth! Is O2X similar?
I didn't do any benchmarks (speaking of placebo effect ) but I use setcpu with vorkkernel so that my top frequency gets more and more limited with the battery level and overnight. This way I manage to only loose 1-2% during the night and the phone alive for a couple of hours when under 15%.
I noticed a certain UI lag when under 500mhz but not so much in the graphics department, I guess the gpu has it's own clock.
I have underclock/undervolt to 800Mhz/900mV and works very smoothly

Lg home is a memory hog and seems to be quite cpu intensive compared to most other home apps but if using a dif homescreen then maybe it will still perform smoothly otherwise i doubt it will perform good.
Hi... I have installed cynogenmod 7.1 Stable. In Performance > CPU Settings, it shows 216/1000MHz as the only available frequency. I installed SetCPU, it closes saying some error.
Can you please tell me what I have to do, basically I want to underclock it for battery issues.

Just undervolted all default values by 100mV, stress test running perfect. CPU at 52C on a 18ish ambient day.
I have 3 setcpu profiles on stock.
In call : 312/216
Screen off : 216/216
Battery <100% : 760/216
Getting amazing stand by time, 2h 30m since I unplugged the charger and only 1% battery spent.
Getting decent results during use as well, or atleast thats what I call it. Earlier today I went through 400+ google reader articles over wifi and watch accompanying youtube videos and also checked some external links. After about 30 mins I lost 7-10% battery. I think thats good enough, unless someone here is about to blow my mind with their results
3h and 30m now still at 99%.
5 minutes of evernote and battery at 95% now. Sooo unsatisfying.

My lg might be getting decent battery life but the entire operation/daily use experience is very bad. Last night I used subsonic to stream my home library to my phone and while I listened to it I read stuff on google reader and then everything started to lag. Just setting the max and min isn't working well for me. I ran antutu last night and got 4500ish numbers with setcpu and juicedefender off and You are getting 6500+

Post more info, what rom, kernel etc. I set my max to 600 and I get good battery but it takes all the fun out of using it, everything lags. You can still do things sure but I dont like lag.

How is the battery life ? Also the 800mhz wake and undervolt are those part of sp3 or extra steps you did ?

100% stock rom + over it.
the version is 2.2.2 v20b
nothing lags. the only diference i see is thet lock screen sart to respond about 1second after power button is pressed. before it was instant.
Thanks for the info. I'm on v21b rooted with setcpu max set to 600ish and there is noticeable lag everywhere. Feels like how the phone was when I first got it and had to replace the lg launcher to get rid of the lag.

6500+ is when I overclock to 1,4GHz.
it's only for benchmark, and not for daily use.

battery life is about 24h of normal use.
I always connected to wifi.
oh, and I replace LG Home Launcher with Xperia Launcer.
it's lighter, no lag even use lower clock speed.
went to google some things on dolphin browser and when i had finished setcpu was reading temp at 100.4 degrees f. the phone usually sets at 80-97 is this normal?
also my phone is "overclocked to 1.4 ghz" i thought the note ran at 1.5 stock is set cpu messed up on the note and what has everyone else been clocking their note at?:

I have same RocketRom v20 and AbyssNoteKernel 3.6 to but it never happened to me.
Only as I had AbyssNoteKernel 3.2, then it got too hot.
Just flash another Kernel like SpeedModKernel

I have had the same problem, but now i use Rocket Rom V21 and it seem ok.
Same here at start Note was fine when using 3G or charging temp used to be around 30-35C , but from few days even when on charging/maps/3g/ its getting very hot n temp is around 45-50C.
if i close all the apps n restart the phone n charge still temp is around 46C.
IM on STOCK ROM.
A lot of people find it possible to undervolt the GPU quite a bit. I'm sure it helps with temperature issues. I run mine @ 267 mHz / 0.75V (lower step) and 400 mHz / 1.00V (higher step) all the time. The phone does get warm when playing 3D games but never really hot.

I was dash charging my phone when I noticed it was a bit hot to touch. I went to browse Facebook for a while and it was SO laggy that it was barely usable... I went to check the max clock speed in kernel adiutor and it was just 1440mHz!
I attempted to change the governor and it started freaking out, the max clock speed is constantly going up and down, it rises to 2000mHz then sinks back to 1440mHz and it keeps doing this over and over again.
I tried a restart but it's still doing it...
I'm running the OOS4.0 beta
What the hell is this thing doing?
