Hey guys I flashed my cappy with phoenix ultimate and flashed onix 2.0.1. For some reason with setcpu my cpu doesn't overclock past 1120 mhz it used to go to 1300 mhz :/

hmm.. could it be the kernel having the limitation? Usually these OC/UV apps will show what the kernel is capable of being clocked to. You coud try another app- but if you had a kernel that went to 1300mhz and that hasn't changed.. you should see the 1300 step.

Hey, I'm using Apex 10.1 and talon 0.5.1-RC1.
I've downloaded tegrak app but I don't find the option to overclock the phone,
I set the max frequency to 1.3 and it just checking stability and does nothing.
How do I overclock my phone?
Thanks
I think you can find a kernel that handles OC with free apps for a I9000 roms. But on Tegrak (wich emulates) load the drive, set OC and thats it.
Try using control freak or voltage control,

Use control freak, it's linked in the talon op, also make sure your using a version of talon with oc scripts.
It usually has the max clock speed in the name of the kernel version. I.e. talon-5.2.1-1200 for 1200mhz
Hello.
I dont know why but i cant overclock my phone more than 691 mhz.
Can some one tell is there any option to overclocked more ?
Its annoying because everyone can overclocked more than 700 but i cant ;(

which ROM you using? If there no option to set it higher than 691 then you cant.
Overlock
Install gingerdx v22 and alfs kernel v07 isc with libs.I have max 729mhz now i can overlock up to 748mhz.Try this.I with gdx swap 200 ,chainfire ,powervr plugin,748mhz i play gta3 nicley.Sorry for my bad English. When you didnt have unlocked bootloader, try the new overlock module for stock kernel didnt custom kernel.
xperiafan13's CM7.2 GINGERBREAD rom with ALFS kernel V7 ICS run stable with 806 mhz. And stable too in: gingerdx v22 , gingerx v24b. and nAa kernel: newest mini cm, gxr v4
Maybe You're using stock kernel. I think that every1, who OC their devices @700+ mhz are using custom kernels
It totally depends on your phone itself. But it could be more stable or unstable per ROM - Kernel combination.
depends on the phone I guess. I can go 806MHz with stock kernel
Im using custom kernel nAa 10 + minicm7 2.1.8
I can oc to 825Mhz but it last to 15 seconds . But my stabl is 806 mhz. But it depends on the phone. Some people can oc more some less.
But when i was at stock kernel my phone never reboots on 691 mhz , now on nAa 10 sometimes get reboots. Maybe my phone cant be overclock more , that little bit sad
Use SETCPU to scale your maximum overclock frequency and the maximum frequency depends on the device. So gud luck... Right now i have Overclocked to 748 mhz and will try the next frequencies soon I am on Stock kernel with ginger dx
I try with gdx and alfs . Can some give me the link to new gdx ?

EDIT: Okey i have it ;D
Hehe I had 748 mhz OC on stock kernel and was stable;D

I am using MiniCM7-2.1.8 Gingerbread 2.3.7 with nAa kernel and i OC 700+...
froyopro v2.4 with stock kernel can bo oc 720 mhz without reboots!
with custom kernel 720+.
I think im the only one who cant overclocked more than 691 mhz.

HI guys,
How can i overclock the GPU of my international note ? I am using Rocket Rom JB.
Thanks in advance.
download rom tool box lite tap in to perfromance>cpu control> on the CPU sliders, slide max to 1400 Mhz, choose noop on I/O Scheduler and ondemand on governor. or you can also download antutu CPU Master Scale it to ondemand, Noop and 1400Mhz,, Im no developer but atleast I read a lot before.
^ No, Not CPU. I am talking abut GPU, i.e. Mali 400 MP.

I believe the kernel has to support it. I run siyah kernel on my gs2. I'm able to oc gpu with ease.

Try "tegrak" app
^ Which software to choose from the market ? Tegrak overclock ultimate or kernel+ ?

First try tegrak overclock..if it works then buy tegrak overclock ultimate
Oh ok but what is tegrak kernel+ ?
Thanks

Tegrak kernel+ works only with tegrak kernel and its not compatible with n7000
try voltage control with a supported kernel.

Just flash the overclocked Hydracore kernel. It automatically overclocks the C.P.U to 1.6 ghz and the GPU to 400 Mhz.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
Hydracore OC Kernel have 3 step freq in gpu 200/266/400Mhz only 400 is max overclock :/ S3 have some gpu but more fresh and support over 700mhz
in S3 forum kernel support 1800mhz and 800mhz gpu this lazy.! versions experimental.
Tegrak Unlimited change freq.!
Thanks everyone. I shall try and let you all know the result
Cheers.
Hi
I have install setCpu on my touchpad (64G) with the latest nightly (cm-9-20121111-NIGHTLY-tenderloin)
It seems to work fine and stats tells that i am up to 1.5GHZ.
I have seen on the forum the GamerZ kernel tuned to OC the touchpad.
Question is simple, is there a benefit from installing this kernel or setCpu is enough, or both are meant to live together ?
Thanks
Well, there is the GPU OC, which really helps with fps if your TP can handle it...

So if i install this kernel, there is no need for setcpu ?

With the GamerZ kernel you'll be able to OC to 2.something ghz and the GPU will be overclocked
SetCPU is used to adjust the frequencies.
i flashed a 737 OC Kernel by einstein.frat, i just wanted to know if there was anyway of finding out if it worked. i ran a AnTuTu benchmark and got a score of 4035.
You can get an app like setcpu it no frills cpu to check / change the max frequency .If the max freq is shown as 767mhz then you have successfully flashed an oc kernel

I guess you can also use the free CPU Master by AnTuTu to check your speed.

i just downloaded the app that nikhil16242 suggested, setcpu.
