I have problem with recording calls with all NRG roms on my Topaz. I have tried numerous roms different builds but to no avail. It is not listed as a known problem in the roms info, so I suppose something's wrong.
I have no problem when using a program like ACR, but I would like the stock functionality, as it offers selective call recording (you initiate the recording) and not automatic.
Is there probably a law conformation thing that keeps my TD2 (European product) from recording calls?

I tried IRC and it locks my phone and makes it on the next call gives errors. What is a nice app. I will pay if I have to!

Record a Call
Here you go. Here's the newest Version that I use. Works excellent for me.
agree to above, works really great!
It records my voice and not the other parties. I installed the cab with File Explorer. and everything looks like it works but doesnt record the person on the other line.
I'm guessing it doesn't record the other parties voice because recording someone without them knowing is illegal.
Well I'm using on a Htc Fuze and works flawlessly. But I do only use an Earpiece when I'm using my phone. And all my calls are recorded unless I disable ACR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also try to make sure your volume is up to full to make sure it picks up the callers audio. Or they will be very low and you can barley here them. Of course your voice is going to be louder than your callers. One other thing you can try just for the hell of it: try using the speaker phone and see if that's helps. And create a file on your SD card to send your recording to, and that should do it.
Another thing to check is: when your on a call hit menu and see if record call is high lighted if so, then you can record your call that way too.
Good Luck let me know if that''s helps you out!!
Maybe where you live, but here in Minnesota, USA, only one person needs to know the call is being recorded. I used ICR in the past, but it was cooked into a rom, I'll try out ACR and see how it goes.
ICR would record both parties, but it would make a beep noise when you started it, and it wouldn't auto-record.
If anyone knows how to disable that beep, ICR would work for me.

I'm pretty sure it's all over the US
The two party call recording is illegal in some states but not all the states. Even in states where it is illegal, you can record two party conversation but need to state upfront that the call is being recorded and if the other party objects to being recorded then you need to stop recording it
I'm looking for confirmation on any working call recorder (background service that does it automatically). Also, it needs to record both ways and not just from the HD2's mic.
Anyone had any success with such an app?
i tried "total recall" without success ...
it records only the "out - sounds" and in the calling party its not possible to hear each other ...
Has anyone had any luck with this yet?
I used to have an orange san francisco and 'all call recorder' worked flawlessly on it but for some reason, no matter which rom i use for my HD2 i can't get it to work and i just end up with empty files.
tried a few froyo and gingerbread roms
Unfortunatelly, there is no way to do 2-way recording on HD2 running android.
This maybe??

"At last, I've nearly succeeded in enabling two-way call recording directly from the phone line on HTC Desire. "
i red it here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=993793
it can be ported to hd2
I tried the above applications, but nothing helped = (can someone more fortunate in finding?
hi.
i was looking for a automatic call recorder application for the last couple of days but nothing was working on the milestone.
i need something that does not turn the speakerphone when doing the recording.
everything i found was either not working or crashed.
can you recomend anything?
thanks.
Apparently direct recording is not possible. Only the "from speaker into microphone" kind is available.
Unfortunately this is not possible on our milestones. I dont know exactly why, but probably something in the moto Kernel that prevent us from doing that.
Hi, i flashed from Hong Kong stock rom to other custom rom a few weeks
Everything seems great, signal or radio is ok
But while calling to others, the sound is too small.
Unless i turn to the largest volume....
And while someone calling, i answered, the dialer seems hearing me is delay 1-2 second at the first sentences.
Is there any kernal to produce these problems?
Sound problem when calling/receiving calls
Got such a problem that is pretty the same but no sound at all, even less... on cyanogenmod 10.1
I have in call sound problems.
When I reboot I can sometimes place one call without problems for as long as I want.
Other calls after that I have no sound, can't hear the call tone and other parties can't hear me.
Also incoming calls, i hear the phone ring but when i answer the other party can't hear me and i can't hear the other party.
The settings for sounds in the accessibility menu and noise reduction etc were off and stayed off. (other forum tips)
I also tried numerous factory resets with no avail
Can someone give me a hint how to fix it?
I have stock 4.2.2 International version of the S4 Active.
Baseband I9295XXUBMK2
Build JDQ39.I9295XXUBMK2
Kernel 3.4.0-2015525
Headset
I tried a different option. I can call with my bluetooth headset.
When i switch to speaker the in call sound drops. giong back to headset will not activate in call sound.
Same Here
The same happens to me. Only the bluetooth option works every time. I have tried several firmware and kernel versions and nothing has changed.
There is a workaround that I could find but it is totally impractical: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2371034
In forums for models / ROMs with a lot more users than this one (Nexus / CM) people with 4.2.2-based firmware versions there are many posts describing what could seems to be the exact same problem, which they have been able to fix via baseband updates or custom patches, but that does not really seems to be an option for the S4 Active...

Same problem with my SGS4A. I was on i9295XXUBMK2, tried to update using the phone update option, which rendered my phone unusable. Flashed new stock ROM i9295XXUBMK3, now I can use the phone, although sound problem persists.
Making a call: reboot, call
Receiving a call: answer, hang-up, reboot, call back
Anyone with 4.3 that has this problem on SGS3, SGS4 or SGS4A?
Edit 21.8.2014
I had the speaker changed last week and so far no problems. I am slowly getting confident that I can rely on S4A as a phone also, not just tiny surf tablet.
I have same phone, never got this pb. However I got some SD card issues after updating to KitKat...
Partial solution... for me at least
Hi guys ,
having same issue, disabling 4G option solves my problem. But it-s impractic cause I want to use the 4g... in a huawei phone I solved same issue by disabling an option of "mobile data always on"
Don't know how it's related...
Same issue for me. I made lots of research with no results. Nobody knows...
same problem here with no solution yet

same problem with in call and out call .... searched a lot about solution and no solution yet
I had a similar issue with bluetooth calls. First call would be fine, but after that I couldn't hear the other person on the line and they couldn't hear me. It turned out to be some kind of incompatibility with the Google "OK Google" detection with Galaxy S4-based phones. If I disabled it from detecting "From any screen", this seemed to correct the problem. However the setting might return on application updates. I would recommend trying that and see if it makes a difference. If it's not that, then I don't really know how to help you. I moved on from that phone over a year ago and have been happier ever since.
