Hi, I have GT-P1000 tab unlocked and I just flashed it with Overcome ROM v2.0.0 GOLD, following instructions from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074759
I installed modem for GT-P1000 Tab (Asia/Europe/ Middle East/Oceania/Africa)
All is good except that I don't have voice or data since then and I have "no service" notification on screen.
When I try to setup Mobile Networks in Wireless and Network, I receive "Insert SIM card to access network services", although sim card is inserted. I tryed 2 sim cards until now, from two different networks, sim cards that worked before.
Model number GT-P1000
Firmware version 2.3.3
Kernel version 2.6.35.7 - Overcome-v3.0.0#36
Build number Overcome v2.0.0
Baseband version Unknown
Output of *#1234#:
PDA: P1000XXJQ1
PHONE :Unknown
CSC: P1000OXAJQ1
I hope somebody can help.
Thank you.
Problem was resolved, I did't have modem installed. Now it's working.
Awesomeness :d
The baseband is the modem.

How did you install the modem? I have a similar issue and there is no IMEI number on my device.

I just installed I9000XWJS3 on my I9000T however I lost 850 band, I would like to know if is it safe to install JL2 Modem found on this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=906977
They have note in there that reads
"NOTE: If you have a Bell i9000M, do the following to (hopefully) prevent your internal SD card from dying:
1. Upgrade to JL2 using either Kies (recommended) or Odin (make sure to check Bootloader Update)."
Do I have to check Bootloader Update option since mine is a I9000T?
Also when going to menu *#1234# I got this
PDA: I9000XWJS3
PHONE:I9000XXJPY
CSC: Unknown
How can I fix CSC? which one is compatible with my current device settings?
Thanks in advance
I have strange problem. I can't connect to any 2g/3g network. My SGS is all the time in Airplane mode and in phone info menu I see "radio disabled". When I query the version info I get:
PDA: I9000XXJP2
Phone: Unknown
CSC: I9000OXAJP2
I'm most conserned about this Phone: Unknown. It had only proper value just after the phone was flashed. After phone turn off turn on it changed to this strange Phone: Unknown and I can't connect to any network (tried 3 differend SIM cards). Can anyone help me?

I can't access "Mobile networks" menu. It is dimmed. When I enter "Call settings->Voice calls" it says "Network or SIM card error". Another interesting thing is that when I try to check the IMEI (*#06#) it does not show the numer only "IMEI: "

good luck, try to flash with other rom stock, and try your sim and then see and let me know its work or not, hope it will work good
You forgot to flash a modem hence you have.no radio.
Either flash a modem or you can flash a full firmware to.correct the problem.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
you can flash with odin again the full firmware with the 3 tar files(pda, csc, modem) and the pit file and everithing will be ok
There is small progress. I flashed the 2.3.2 rom and now I can check IMEI. I was also asked for SIM PIN code and I can see SIM APs so SIM card seams to work, but still can't connect to any network :/
EDIT:
Problem solved I had selected invalid KOR CSC. After switching to XEO everyting works perfectly Thanks for help anyway. This forum rox
Hi,
I have restored my GT i9000 s back to stock ROM using the instructions on XDA and on the Droidangel website and everything is as described except the SIM is not recognized.
In 'About phone', 'Status' the Network is "unknown" and the Phone number is "unknown".
Signal strength, mobile network and IMEI is present but "Mobile network state" is 'Disconnected'.
I have an assumption that it may be because originally the phone Network was Vodafone however now I am with Tesco/O2 (the Tesco SIM worked OK before restoring back to stock ROM). I currently don't have another SIM on a different network to test it but given the information above are you able to offer any advice please?
Thanks in advance.
FIXED
I rooted it and used the Unlock Galaxy S App from Google Play

Same where, and it's works!
Hey guys,
I got some issue with my friend's S3 i9305. That phone is not able to place/receive any call/message but it's mobile (GSM) data is working.
Initially when I got this phone from him it auto updated itself to 4.3 (from 4.1.x I guess?). At this stage (both, before & after 4.3 auto update) there was no sim inside it & neither he nor I tested if calling was working.
After that he asked me to update it to KitKat. So, before doing anything else I backed up the IMEI/NV using this tutorial & then proceeded with rooting, installing TWRP (using Skipsoft Samsung Unified Kit) & then OmniROM 4.4.4 (nightly) with PA micro Gapps package along with the XXUEMKC radio.
At this stage, when I inserted the sim I noticed that it is showing "No Service" "Selected network (<Network Name>) not available". Tried to call & it returned "Not registered on network". Tested it with another (network) sim, same issue. Both sim works fine on other mobile phones. Tried CyanogenMod 11, but nothing changed. Flashed couple different Radios & changed to Agni kernel, but no luck.
Currently I'm back to stock 4.3 rom (from sammobile). Even tried after restoring that IMEI/NV data using QPST tool. But still stuck with no service.
IMEI is intact, but one thing that I noticed with serial number is that the stock rom displays the correct serial number (RFxxxxxxxxx) in about section, while the app "Phone Info Samsung" displays two different serial numbers, 1) Serial Number: some random string 42f7xxxxxxxxx & 2) Samsung Serial Number: RFxxxxxxxx <- correct one. Also that CyanogenMod rom too displays that random string as serial number in the phone about section.
Here's the output of *#1234#
AP: I9305XXUEMKC
CP: I9305XXUEMK1
CSC: I9305XEFEMK1
Phone seems to be from France & I'm using it in India. Since it's unbranded phone, so I don't think it is/was network locked and mobile data is working fine.

Is the IMEI really the same as on the cover of the Note box. Maybe there was a problem and had chsnged.
Sir .......I am also having same problem in my GT N7000 since last 3 times. Last two time, i had to spend 1500 buks at karol bagh. This time again i am facing same problem. Whenever i tried to call any number i got following message "NOT REGISTERED ON NETWORK". However, wifi internet is working good. My IMEI number have changed bcoz number behind battery and *#06# are different.
