why do my tab from yesterday is freaking HOT and i really mean hot ,,
since i installed overcome gold with the new kernel my tab feels hot . and even when i flashed CM7 , its still freaking hot
any help guys ?

Same thing happening with me too.. it goes hot in very little time i just put some drops of water on its back to cool my battery lol!
This happens to me only when I enable 3g...when I am on edge no prob..
Swyped from my first Android device....!

I think Beats also makes your SGM like that (if you add it to your SGM ) You should flash new rom then it'll be ok

Hi , i recently got Galaxy Note (Brand new) official ics 4.0.3, 3.0.15-n7000XXLPY . And noticed that it gets hot under camera, especially after using google earth, or something what's requiring a lot of processing power .
Had the same problem with Galaxy s2 when i bought it , phone was so HOT after using it in hardcore mode , Than replaced my official rom and kernel with ics 4.0.3 and 3.0.15 -i9100XXLPQ and all problems GONE. Also tested XLPQ on my girlfriends sgs2. Phone works as it should, no overheating, no heat at all.
100% sure it is software. My question is , if anyone of you have the same problem on NOTE, can you please post your kernel and Rom versions. Also those whose phone doesn't get hot can you please do small experimental test: switch on gps/bt and try to use google earth for 5 minutes. (heavy use, zoom in out etc) after 5 minutes place your finger under camera is it hot/warm/cold ?? also please can you post your kernel and rom versions.

I'm on Paranoidandroid rom (CM9 based) and don't have overheating issues!
Tried what you said and i would describe my device's temp as warm.
I' ve heard of this problem again on official LPY.Try a different rom, that's what i suggest.

After 5 minutes, camera is slightly warm, more warm is place on the left side of the camera, but also not specially .
rom: ics 4.0.3 LPY (german)
I am on ICS LPY rom and mine also gets hot when i watch a youtube video or under any kind of heavy use. I cant recall if this was the case on GB rom.
O Yes.. . is heated. .. There is even a risk that can be burnt if you are playing games while charging the phone. I got a little Research with this problem and came to the conclusion that ICS is generally warmer than the GB in a few degrees. I also realized that the combination of a modem with a Rom for some things can reduce the temperature. Last safe temperature is about 40-45, although my notes and survived much worse heat stroke.
Hello guys, im in a real hurry becuase today is the last day that i can give back the phone if i want to change it to something else.
The Phone laggs like HELL and gets massive fps drops while gaming for over 20 minutes.

while gaming the screen turns dimmed. like automatic lower screen brightness and lags. heavy lag for about 3-4 seconds.
every 2-5 minutes.
now iv been using the phone for about 2 weeks and its not root. i dont have so many apps and only a few games.
this is horrible because its already my second lg 4x. the previous had bug with calling poeple. couldnt call anyone.
and now this.
im really ready to get the samsung s3 over this...
help me fast please. what should i do??

if u have some skills, You can update firmware to V10F if u haven't, then root, recovery and wipe cache/dalvik via recovery

yes terrible lags in both zenonia and inotia 4. im trying to update to v10F i shiouldnt need to root man. this **** should just work.
its 4 cores for christ sake...my previous htc desire hd smashed inotia and zenonia please...

I just download the game to try and to be honest, it too fast, that little guy walks very fast threw the screen

well after the new patch for lg iv played for 1-2 hours and no lags whatsoever now.
gonna retunr when i tested some other games.
seems promising right now. no need samsung^^
ShadowGun THD still lagging despite V10f update.
Just come to this phone from a Galaxy Nexus. Getting the same problem.
Dead Trigger and Sonic CD both stutter. The music on Sonic CD sounds like a record skipping. Smooth as butter on the slower Nexus.
Sonic 4 Ep. 2 THD is the same. Haven't tested any other's yet, but reckon it'll be a recurring theme...

and i notice that the battey is very bad, it dont live long if i pull out the usb cabel, but its not the bettery its self thats warm it under the camera

I don't know hat rom dou you have, but if I were you I would flash a stock or cm10.1 rom. If it still warms up then I think the battery what doing the warmup

If your phone not overclocked to 1.5 GHz or It is not at maximum brightness the only thing I can think of is your battery.

I am using HTC one m7 long long ago and played the game dead trigger 2 at its release on the highest fps quality and it worked smooth and fine
Yesterday I redownloaded it and tried to play it .. surprisingly it was so laggy and I cant even move .. do you know why this happened ? And can it be fixed ?
And btw the game unkilled too was so laggy on my phone .. so does my phone just getting old or this can be fixed
