To those who have netflix working on their g-tabs; are you able to select specific episodes of a show you have in your queue? While I can select and watch movies without issue, the app will not let me choose any episode for TV shows. I can only watch whichever episode is immediately after the last episode I watched on a different device. If I have not viewed any episodes before, season 1 episode 1 is the only one I can select. I am running CM 7.0.3, as I think most people using the app are. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
When I went to Netflix site and turned off some "drag&drop" thingy in user settings, then I was been able to select, more or less episodes on my gtablet.
Maybe it's also because I am using modified build.prop file. This way web site do not send "weird" stuff in HTML, just simple java scripted pages.
You're not clicking the cover art are you?
That will immediately start playing wherever it left off.
If you click the text or gray area, you should get to the movie or shows description. Which you can then click play.
I did this with the office, which was in my queue and I can then pick whatever episode I want. Should have them all listed with an individual play next to each.

I can get to the list of episodes no problem, but selecting them is impossible. There is no play button next to the episodes in the list and tapping or long pressing them does absolutely nothing. My only option is “resume episode xxx” at the top of the screen.
hm.. I'm using the latest CM7.0.3 stable. I switched from BoS just to get netflix working. I've got the play buttons on each episode...
Maybe try clearing cache and data for the netflix app in settings. That way you'll have to log in again and maybe that will clear it up. Otherwise are you using one of the modified apk's floating around or just the one from the market?

I have tried clearing data and cache, and even un/reinstalling to no avail. I am using the apk from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1076150) as it does not appear in the market for me.
I had the same issue and used LCD density and dropped the density down one step. Play buttons show up and menu selection even works in landscape.

Thanks scubasteve85. Your suggestion worked for me. My tablet is one step closer to perfection!
What did you set the LCD density to?
Oh yeah.. I set the density so early in the customization that I forgot the spacing was kind of off in the netflix app beforehand.
I run with the density at 120.
Just remember, any density other than 161 is going to break your my apps list in the market.
I just dropped it down to 140. That did it for me. Will check out the "my apps" part. Thanks for the heads up.

Hi,
I got my nook rooted. Thanks to everyone that created the tools. after I got youtube, gmail and market working, my youtube no longer works.
So I was going to install the new youtube from market. I went to market and searched for youtube, it comes back and says 580 results for "youtube". but it only shows 10 and i don't see any way to go to a next page and the official google youtube app is not in the first 10.
How can I page through the market's apps? and once i get that figured out, is it ok to uninstall the youtube app and install the new one from market, or will that mess up my nook?
this is my first experience with android, and i must say it's amazing how much stuff is out there for it!

To fix youtube download titanium backup from the market, open it up, click the youtube app, clear data.
Fix market turn it landscape NC is using the Droidx ID to fool market so only shows ten since thats what a droid would show, but having a bigger screen it stops without loading the rest.

Hello there. I was wondering how you use the droidx id to fool the market? Thank you in advance.
Pretty much what it says in the thread title...I just did a Market update on my CM7 install and it showed an update for the Nook app to support magazines and newspapers. The only major functional difference between the stock reader and the market reader now is kids' read-to-me books. Nice update!!!
That's great, although it is lame that kids books aren't supported yet, even the *pad supports those!
Just updated, and couldn't get anything to work right! Just cleared the cache and rebooted to see it that helps
Great will update that's what was missing

Well allllright! Now I don't have to resort to annoying work arounds to read The Onion and Asimov's Science Fiction on the market Nook reader. It supports more magazines now too (for example, PC Gamer was "Nook Color" only, now it's "Nook Color" and "Nook for Android (Tablet)" which apparently means us...makes me curious how it's deciding what is a tablet and what isn't, if it makes a distinction...screen resolution I presume), so it's work a look for anyone who got some magazines on the Nook Color and can't read them now because they are on CM7 or something.
I think the interface is a bit better as well.
My books disappeared
I have a number of books loaded on my SD card( in the correct directory). After the update the books don't show up.
Any ideas?
edit: They showed up. Just had to wait a few minutes.

I'm not sure what to say, I didn't have any problems. Have you tried refreshing the the app? (that is, presing the refresh button up near the top of the screen underneath the search button within the app?)
I can't get the update to run on my nook color with 1.2 and manualnooker. There's an icon but when I tap it nothing happens no force close screens no error messages nothing. It's like the app isn't even installed.
I've got the same issue on my stock rooted original. Maybe it's not working because I haven't updated to the newest software version.
I also tried running it on my nexus, but my magazines will not show.

Not everyone has stock (rooted or not) still intact? Never mind, I gotcha (Thought you were referring to the earlier posters rather than later)
On another note, going to the store (and for that matter, any top-bar or bottom bar menu items, like menu, go to library (if in store), info, search) takes a long time to register. It's not my screen, because I can swap in and out of other apps and hit those spots without any lag or problems. Menu is not working for me at all

some questions
Running cyanogenmod 7.02.
Is it possible to "read in store" when I am in B&N?
Using the nook app, do I have to load the books on the SD card? Can I put them into internal memory?
Thanks in advance
How to get if in Canada
Whats the best way for a Canadian to get this app since the Market restricts it.

Bummer about the small buttons on the top right of the app..
FYI, search will work in app if you use the CM7 Tablet tweek search button. It will call up the BN apps search dialogue box, provided you have the option toggled on to show the search button on the status bar.
Worked great, for my phone

Good, that's about my only real complaint about it right now.
Looks like they didn't fix sideloaded books showing their covers. The nook app is the ONLY reader app that doesn't show my sideloaded books covers. Every other one i tried they work fine. Annoying.
Just be careful what you touch.. I was looking at magazines and saw NatGeo and thought hey, look, maybe I can preview it. So I tapped "Current Edition". Nothing happened. Tapped it again and it confirmed purchase for $6 for a single edition.
I've emailed B&N telling them to remove this and credit my CC back and that they should fix their horrid user interface.
First off it should VISIBLY change when there's money to be paid. Button changes color or BETTER the button is in a different position, such as a pop-up window that says "Your credit card will be charged X dollars, purchase/cancel". Not the same button that apparently is so laggy it doesn't update in time for folks to not realize tapping it twice in a few seconds will purchase it.
Meh.
Hello. I'm sure this has been asked many times, and I apologize for adding another, but I still can't seem to find a solution to this. So the new market app v3.0.27 (is that even the latest version?) doesn't show all the apps, particularly in the "Top Free" section. It also won't allow me to download certain applications like Google Books. The market was running fine just a couple of days ago, but I don't know what's going on now. I tried clearing market cache and google services data but that didn't work ether. Any suggestions?
I am currently running Phiremod 6.3 with the transformbread theme.
Thanks in advance
This is happening to me as well. So far I've been unable to get Flash and Facebook as well as a few others. If I figure it out I'll update.

You can always try uninstalling the market updates. Or installing an old vending.apk
Use search, you'll find TONS of posts relating to this in the past couple weeks.
HRDLYWRKNG try this
First force stop market and clear the data and cache.
Go to system\build.prop
change the line qemu.sf.lcd_density=161 to 160
reboot and market should work
If you could see movies then you should be able to upgrade and download any app without issues
May I know if you are in America? If you are not, try VPN. For me after upgrade to CM7, Angry Bird and many other application only appear after I used an US IP addres..
yup changing the screen density to 160 worked like a charm. Thanks again guys
Those instuctions(pdf) worked for me.
You can also switch back to 161 after you get it to work. Market took up a lot of resources after time under 160. Also had a few problems with apps like the nook app. When switched back you will still have a working market
Skip everything I just said. It worked for a little bit but now it sucks again

As I have stated elsewhere, using 240 instead of 160 to fix market and it appears to work flawlessly ( no data clearing, no app problems etc). Going on over 3 days now without having to do a single thing with the market.
Dunno why this should be the case, but market really is more stable at 240 than 160.

I don't like my icons that big. I would rather go through the lame process of changing my dpi and clearing market every few days then to be stuck at such a large dpi. Maybe I will switch to 240 when I do it but it's not going to stay that way

I turned on my just updated to LG GB Thrill this morning and there was an unsolicited icon on the desktop. I didn't put it there, and in fact I thought I put a Calendar icon where it is. The icon does not show up in my app tray or in my list of widgets or shortcuts. It's a purplish icon with the magenta words "Games & Apps" in some futuristic font on it, with a white chess piece in the upper left, a white jet in the upper right, a white chat in the lower right, and a dartboard in the lower right, and it's labeled Apps.
I assume it was forced there by one of the few apps I've downloaded in the last day and half, although I wouldn't put it past AT&T. I mostly suspect a Roulette app or a ringtone editor, since the other few apps I downloaded I had been using recently on the previous ROM.
Is there any way to determine where this icon came from? (I want to rate down the app and uninstall it, at the least.) How can I trace its origin?
(I assume I can trash it, although I'm waiting until I find out where it came from.)
Rick

Yesterday I got my Nexus and began installing play store apps. After I got many of my apps installed I noticed that some apps were coming up with "Your device isn't compatible with this version" and I wasn't able to download them. I went back and looked at some apps I had already installed such as Facebook for android and even that shows the same message now even though I was able to install it previously. I am disallowed in both the play store app as well as the web site from installing these apps so it is clearly something stored on play about my device. Is anyone else seeing this? Try the following apps
Facebook for Android
Firefox
My Tracks
Evernote
This list could go on.

I guess I should add that I am rooted and I made the following change to my build.prop file in order to get the tablet view.
- ro.sf.lcd_density=213
+ ro.sf.lcd_density=175
I guess I will try switching the density back and see if that makes a difference.
This is a common issue after you changed the LCD density, and unfortunately, there is no real solution (that I know of).
To get around this, revert back to the native density of 213. Clear cache of Play store. All apps should be compatible as stock. You can try to go back the lower the density again. Without clearing cache of the Play store this time, you may get lucky that the Play store may *think* it is still under the default LCD density.

Thank you all for the replies. When I made the dpi changes the Play Store did operate as normal for some time. I have now switched my dpi back and cleared cache and data for Play Store. Still not working properly at this point, but I will keep you posted. Thanks for the heads up!
For future reference I found this post that talks about Tablet UI and the aforementioned Play Store issue.

Yes, I have no problem launching those apps. It sounds like its just a Play Store incompatibility. Some others have reported using a dpi of 160 and not having Play Store issues, but like I said, my issue showed up a couple hours after the fact. And having changed it back to the default, my Play Store issues have not yet gone away.
After changing the settings back, force stopping play store, clearing cache and data, then rebooting, I was able to get the play store behaving properly again. But I HATE the phone UI. So I am tempted to change it back once I get the apps I want. I may give 160 a shot rather than 175.

I have been using DPI of 160 since yesterday. Play store is still behaving normally so far. Fingers crossed.
Let us know how it turned out for you at 160.

Why not just follow the directions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1780970

Hi,
To change your LCD density but avoid apps incompatibility, set your density back to 213.
Now, create a file in /data/local.prop and type in it :
qemu.sf.lcd_density=160
You can change the density to whatever you want, save and reboot
Please press thanks if I helped you
