PLEASE - who can port this Rom for LG Optimus Speed ?????
As much as I want this to be done as well, I've been told by a lot of people that it is near impossible

why should be impossible? i mean..it's just software..and our LG is totally open.
I miss HTC sense interface (i had a desire and a HD2)..so i really hope to use the sense 3.0 on this tomahawk cruise called LG 2X
This is a quote from Imperticus:
'We might aswell say its impossible. Sense is closed-source so its near to impossible to port a working ROM. getting sense 2.2 on HTC Hero was very very hard (especially the camera), so porting it to O2X is going to be even harder.'
I would love that! Too bad it's probably never going to happen. But possible, that it is! They managed to port Desire HD rom to the Motorola Defy, so why not to the Optimus 2x. And the defy you cant change kernel on, therefore it should be easier on O2x.
you should consider that nvidia drivers are closed like sense so it's quite impossible to have a software running in a hardware without the official drivers made by the partnership of producers

But the drivers exist like binary, so thats not a problem? You dont need the sources for that, in that case CM7 wouldn't work either. HTC haven't changed the whole android system, you know, so the drivers should work. One problem could be if sense calls some instruction that our CPU cant handle, but thats unlikely.. But drivers for GPU should be the least of our problems.
it works for o2x ??

Nope, it's for the HTC Desire/Bravo
Sense 3.0 Port for LGOS ???
A port of Sense 3.0 must work for the LGOS !
The original Sense3.0 is also dual core
and it has been ported to the Nexus One!
Since it worked somehow.
I'm sure it's somehow!
We just need someone who can port for the LGOS
(Sorry for my bad english)
Nexus one is a bad example. Nexus is built on Snapdragon along with ardeno 200. So basicaly it's almost same hardware as Desire. ALL snapdragon can be easly ported to any other snapdragon HTC device. Sense 3 was harder becouse we was missing m10 tools to decompile/compile sense ui files. (HTC PYRAMID is qHD) and HTC KINGDOM has early uber buggy and bad resized ROM.
LOT of libs cannot be ported to TEGRA. Sorry guys. But this time it's not just copy\paste.
Booting ROM is possible... But it will not work at all... Some guys allready tried it on SGS.
How did they get it to work on Motorola Defy then, for example? That's a OMAP SoC, there's never been a HTC with OMAP. Everything work pretty well on the defy, just bluetooth was little buggy. I aint saying it won't be hard, just not impossible. If we get a talented dev that want this, then it'll probably happen, but unfortunately most devs doesn't care for sense.
I see the same. I also have a Nexus One and on the current Sense 3.0 (Kingdom 0.3.1) going very good and stable!!!
Sorry for my bad english.
Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA App
nVidia are not releasing HALs for the Tegra2, without which it is even harder. cm_arcee (dev for CyanogenMod) said that even CM is being limited because the HALs are closed-sourced.
And who can port it now ??????????
In your opinion, do you think it is possible to have the HTC weather has 3.0 Sense? lockscreen and weather in the home?
yes i think. you can ported this?

And You can rewrite half of the libs FROM SCRATCH? Without having data sheets? Without nVidia sources?
It's possible to boot it, but it's impossible to make it fully functional.
There is a couple of themes made for both sense 3.0 and under. Its very good indeed. Why not check it out?

Summary:
A Highly optimized Eclair providing an accelerated experience. Heavily themed for your viewing pleasure .
I've spent the last month tweaking and making things *faster* and although my todo list is still large for this build I didn't want to delay this any further.
The Cream Filling:
Some of the features in RLS 1 (06-17-2010) include:
More performance enhancements and tweaks.
Added HUGE APN list!
Bluetooth audio fixed (thanks kallt_kaffe)
Updated LauncherPro
Option to choose the number of icons per row in both portrait and landscape mode within launcher
Added backgrounds to Wallpaper gallery
New app drawer opening speed option: Here you can tweak the speed of the opening/closing effect for the app drawer. Zero is the slowest, 10 makes it appear/disappear instantly. (Advanced settings)
Selectable backgrounds for shortcut dock
New sense like home screen indicator
15 shortcuts available in dock now. Swipe the dock to the left (down in landscape) to reveal 5 additional shortcut spaces. Now swipe it again for 5 more!
Added native Alarm Clock (by request from a few users)
Full Changelog / feature list can be found at bottom of this post.
What doesn't work
Camera
Known Issues
Voice Search wait/force close messages on start. As this is a pre-release beta, I am working on fixing this issue.
Installation:
*** On first boot a lot of optimizations are running. For the best experience, it is advised to wait 10 - 15 mins after you see the initial Android setup screen and during the first google syncronization process. After which the speed dramatically improves. You should see an even greater performance jump after first reboot. ***

Congrats man!!! Looks awesome. I cant wait to get my new device going to try this out. Great work once again
first to install so far very nice once i find an issue i will report
Edit
I have noticed a few things.
1. there are graphic issues with some of the overlays (in other words some items are cut off) I am trying to find where i saw that at
2. no facebook intergration
3. Google voice does not work
4. when calls come in they will vibrate but not play the tone you have set or show picture you have set for them
5. using the default messaging app it does not pull your contact names via letters you have to type out their numbers for it to find the person.
Can't download
Anyone else having issues downloading? Can't get to site from link.
Ok, after about 10 trys it is downloading. Can't wait.
THANKS Myn!
Has anyone using this build used in the past Incubus's Super Eclair Lite Build and can compare the two (performance wise or other differences)?
EDIT: Will this build fit entirely on NAND and is it smaller or bigger then the Super Eclair Lite Build.
no offense to Incubus but this build blows his out of the water. So smooth even when it was not over clocked. with the over-clock it is even faster. Incubus I enjoy your hard work so dont let this discourage you in continuing your hard work.
i was thinking that it was time that best one moder finally come to eclair
Thank you, i'll test it asap

wow myn this by far the sexiest build i have seen!
can wait to try it out!!
this needs the eclair nbh right?
hey, myn - i assume we still have exchange mail, how about contacts and calendar? those have been keeping me on tattoo atm... some of the other eclair builds have synced contacts with exchange, so i'm hoping...?
looking forward to running it either way, nice work.
i just got a CRC error when extracting the 320x480nand version
i'm going to redownload to see if it was just a corrupt download
edit: a second download of the zip produced the same CRC error
anyone else seeing the same error?
Thanks for the new build....very cool
But i can not start wifi with my polaris and sdcard nomorootfs (use your zimage you suggest)
Any idea or fix
Thanks for answers...with kind regards...Alex
3G / WiFi not working
Hi myn,
Just installed it on my Kaiser, and can't access 3G and WiFi. Do they work for anybody else? (the Mobile Networks check is grey, and if I push it, it thinks for a while and still remains grey).
Any help, anybody? My network is Vodafone Romania.
I have also tried Incubus's eclair, your Warm Donut, and now this, with the haret from your original package.
Thanks,
Ovi

240 on SD using 29-5 zImage, sys and data on Ext2, is running smooth as silk. Looking forward to running this through the gauntlet on it's way to becoming my primary build.
As usual, great work Myn. Thanks!
lol i'm just talking about the setup at the beginning but its scary fast compared to the other builds I've used. Waited about 30 minutes before using and the performance is simply a-mazing. Everything was installed on NAND, and there is 100mb free for apps.
Will let post again after I have filled up the phone again or encounter an error.
Thanks so much for the build Myn!

Redemptive rEVOlution 2.3 Maintenance Release Change Log:
Switched to using Edify Installation Scripts (updater-script) now fully compatible with latest ClockworkMod Recovery
Updated all Apps to latest Market Version
All of my Kernel projects are now pushed to SD Card during installation and can be found in the "Redemptive" folder with a "KERNEL - READ ME" file describing features and differences between each.
Power Control Mod - JsChiSurf
This mod was based off of Cyanogen Mod however since we don't have the Sense source code this entire mod was written in Smali which is amazing be sure to stop by the above thread to get more info on how to customize this mode and see others by JsChiSurf he is a super talented guy
My contribution to this mod has been porting it over to work on Redemptive rEVOlution as well as adding my own custom theme to it. I've changed the standard blue on/off indicators to white as well as implemented two XML hacks which removes the stock white background and adds transparency behind the Power Control as well as behind "Verizon Wireless" I've also trimmed down the height so it doesn't take up a ton of room in the notification window.
Credits:manup456 for his Htc Settings Widget

Brut.all for apktool
JsChiSurf - Notification Power Control Mod
_Burst_ for the use of the Dialer Button graphic and Battery graphics
Jercik for his Smooth Sense Icons and faster3200 for porting them to the EVO
cortland1998 for the custom "RR" animated sync icons
aamikam for the modded 4 in 1 Power Button Reboot
deficitism for pointing me in the right direction for some of the Rosie mods
rujelus22 for giving me a crash course in themeingSummary:Due to the popularity of the EVO the user base is enormous and as a result so is the development. Incorporating many Evo elements allows us to have the best of both worlds both EVO and Incredible options in the Rom.Features
Rom Fully de-odexed & Zip aligned based on the newest official Incredible OTA 3.26.605.1 and the newest EVO OTA 3.70.651.1
Custom HeyItsLou Kernel
All of the themes edited/created images have been optimized and compressed for optimum Ram efficiency.
Framework has been optimized and compressed for optimum Ram efficiency
Internal storage bug when using EVO framework DOES NOT exist here internal storage mounts just Fine.
Working 6 bar signal icon
Fully functional MMS (Does not have usual EVO Port MMS bug)
What would be considered the standard bloat has been removed
Added Rom Manager, ESFIleExplorer, Wireless Tether, gscript, DSP EQ etc...
EVO Framework used in place of Incredible framework which means theoretically any SENSE Evo theme can be used on this Rom (Some modification required to have all of the Rom's features fully functional...see below)
Custom Animated transitions and Window Animations (Found in Evo forum)
Bash Shell Support
/data/app functionality
Custom G-Scripts including "Fix Permissions"
Latest Su and BusyBox
Much Much More....
RequirementsFULL wipe both data/cache and especially Dalvik-Cache this is MandatoryInstallation:
Place HBoot .92 on Root of SD Card then boot into bootloader when asked if you want to update select Yes after update when asked if you want to reboot phone select Yes.
Flash Redemptive rEVOlution via Rom Manager or by using Clockwork Mod Recovery.
All Optional Content is in the "Redemptive" folder which is pushed to your SD card during install. This folder contains various Mods that can be flashed just like a Rom using Rom Manager or by using Clockwork Mod Recovery.
DisclaimerAs with any Rom or Mod flash you are taking matters into your own hands I will not be held responsible for any bricked devices or be held responsible for the injuries you may inflict on others if this were to happen.Restoring Apps/Data:This install will format your system. If you want to back up your apps with titanium fine but just do the apps not the data. This is my recommendation if you back up data and then have problems don't say I didn't warn you. Also please don't argue with me about the Rom wiping the system I'm the developer and this is the way I feel will provide the best non glitchy experience. As a result I can spend less time trouble shooting and more time working on the next release....Thanks guys for everything...LouATTENTION: Redemptive UsersA word to the wise on the topic of themes. There's themes floating around these forums still based on the leaked Froyo Rom from back in August. HTC has released multiple framework revisions since then with fixes and enhancements. It's important to know what framework the theme is based on before you flash because you could potentially be downgrading in terms of performance and stability for the sake of something a little flashier

Sweet ****. Now maybe my buddy will stop shoving his evo in my face. "Hey man look at this rom, look at this theme, everything you can do I can do better." Shut up fool! I taught you how to do all that ****.
Looking forward to this one. Now if I could only get a working semi transparent STATUS bar, my life would be complete.

good job, the build looks nice ! I have an idea
Just wait for CM7 by neopeek with clockwork MOD, the one that will be getting released in a few days & do the same thing on that one !
I'm sure i'd look great on that because neo's CM7 is so stable & works great !
check this out just in case you might not be aware of it

CyanogenMod 6.1
Using CyanogenMod 6.1, and this is the great Android rom til' now
I've been using this rom for 10 DAYS, and there is still got a problem sometimes, but not a big problem though until now
LIST :
1. From 10 day, 6 time SOD (When wiFi is on and device is standby, but sometimes woke up sometimes SOD) but wiFi is smooth and never drop while heavy use.
2. Connection on G, E is stable, but when 3G is enable the phone is not responding (SOD), and i have to soft reset by myself, turning on 2G and install APN on / off widget solve this problem or install with No data connection kernel.
3. When answer a call, speaker sometimes not work (Solve with click speaker button and click it back)
4. Multitasking is good when i use LauncherPro (Everyday app: Opera mini, Facebook, Yahoo messanger, Twidroyd, Market, SMS, Phone, contact (435 contact and synced with Gmail and FB), Yahoo mail, SD_SpeedBooster, One more clock and my personal mail)
5. Bluetooth success pairing with Windows 7 (64bit) & Vista (32), but failed to send and receive.
6. Charging never establish when uncharge with power when click HARET.
7. Battery life is good and accurate, the only problem when in wm 0 % start Android, and in android become 100 % , but 20% above from wm, it's accurate in Android.
8. 3D is slow. But not a big problem with me , never use for games anyway
9. Music and gallery is good (Gallery not good when using with 1000 picture of file on my sd card , not a big problem too, backup file to my laptop)
10. Video is playing, but only playing sound, It never success rendering image video to screen (testing with divX, Xvid, mp4)
11. Live Wallpaper is running, but really unstable when 3D live wallpaper applied. never use it too anyway, Using HD wall instead
12. GPS is working fine. (Using map and GPS is on)
13. Local Email and Gmail sometime crash when opening mail message. (Skiabug??)
That's all from me ...
This has been by far the best Android on my X1, stable, WiFi working fine (no drops).
My only issue is i can't get decent battery life using this release, even with nothing open and wifi turned off it uses 7% an hour
I really like this build, just one question: Is it possible to get a cifs.ko for the kernel as well?
I tried to use CifsManager, but it seems not to work because of the missing module.

Porting Information and Credits
There has been an enormous amount of interest surrounding utilizing components or modifications from our ROMs. To this point, our policy was that any such work needed to explicitly be approved by the team. The fact of the matter is that the policy is simply not enforceable and any time consumed working to enforce it detracts from the time we have to work on Android (which is what we really enjoy). As such, we’ve decided to go in a different direction.
Going forward, ROM developers are welcome to utilize any portions of our ROM which are of interest.
Our only requirement is that you let us know about what you’re doing by sending an email to (devteam|at|virtuousrom.com), credit the Virtuous Team in your thread(s) and provide a link to our website. No response on our part is required whatsoever, we’re just interested to hear about how our work is helping you.
Our plan is to continue to innovate and push the envelop of ROM development; with the goal of staying enough ahead of the curve to merit a desire to clone our work.
hrk - Allowing use of ghostySMS Vision version.
cypis - For his awesome Unity-banner
robocik - Tips regarding APK compression.

Important Notes
If you are experiencing random freezes and/or reboots, this is likely due to your device being incapable of handling our overclocking defaults. Download and apply this flashable patch, which will reduce the maximum CPU frequency to 1Ghz and likely eliminate this issue.
You must complete a full wipe prior to installing this ROM the first time. We also recommend wiping between upgrades, but you are welcome to try upgrading without a wipe. However, no support will be provided if you file a bug without having wiped prior to submission.
Bugs and Errors
To ease the process of reporting bugs to the team, we made a public bugtracker where you can report the bugs you found. Please make sure you read all the existing entries there to avoid doubling the errors.
The bugtracker is located here.
Device specific information
Download :: Changelog :: More Information(Official Website of Virtuous ROM)Check out our forums
Install instructions (thanks to lollylost100):
1. Make a full wipe (please don't use Full Wipe 1.5 (EXT4) or such tools)
2. Flash ROM
3. Reboot
Please keep in mind:
You can always try to do a non wipe install, but we can't provide you support in this case.
If you find any errors in the ROM and you have NOT wiped before, please wipe and see if the errors persists.
Special features
This ROM has some unique or not widely known features which I want to explain here.
Screenshot
This ROM (in fact most Sense 3 ROMs) has the unique feature to make screenshots without any additional app.
Just Hold the "Power"-Button and then press "Home" at the same time and the phone will save your screenshot in the Images folder on you SD-Card.
OC Daemon
This ROM deals with overclocking a little bit different than other ROMs. To get further information read this post.
Fancy input animations
Unfortunately HTC removed from all their Sense ROMs the "open" and "close" animations for the keyboard.
Thanks to seo we were able to get them back
There are two different animation versions. The normal one is always activated and there is also no way to deactivate it.
The second "fancy" version can be enabled via the app "Spare Parts" which is in the Android Market.
Custom user app install during first boot
The ROM has the ability to automatically install custom user apps during the first boot (after a wipe)
All you need to do is the following:
Create an folder on your SD card and name it virtuous_unity
Create another folder inside virtuous_unity folder and name it 'app.user'
Copy all the desired apps in this directory in there paketname form, for example: 'com.quoord.tapatalkxda.activity.apk'
Now flash the ROM via your recovery
During the first boot the apps get installed from your SD card, as this will take a while, don't get impatient
Release strategy
We are planing to release our ROM in the future every week on the same day and around the same time.
This point in time will be every Monday night (GMT). Which is ca. 24h from NOW.
If there are no MAJOR bugs we will release what ever we have done at this time.
Saturday night (GMT) is the so called feature freeze, then the ROM will enter the testing phase. It gets tested until monday and then the team will talk about the results.
Once everything is approved we'll release the next version.
As you should know now when the next version arrives I won't answer ANY questions concerning ETAs.

Introduction to the new Overclocking Daemon
This ROM features a completely new way of Overclocking and managing screen states.
The History
But before explaining it further, let's talk about previous solutions.
There are several different approaches to archieve "screen-state-scaling".
That means basically that the govenor changes if you turn the screen off and changes back to normal when turning the screen on.
This is mainly used to restrict the amount of CPU usage (the frequency in fact) during screen off. This can lead to a major battery life increase.
The solutions so far were:
App like SetCPU, which change automatically the govenor based on profiles
integrated solutions in the govenor itself
Both these solutions have major problems.
The one with a tuner app is always a little laggy right after turning on the screen because SetCPU (or any other CPU tuner) needs some time to change the govenors (up to 7 seconds). This leads mostly to major lag in the lockscreen.
The second solution is the smartass govenor. It has already a screen-state-scaling included, so it reduces the frequency when the screen turn off.
This could be a really nice solution but it has some problems too.
Smartass most of the time is not really stable and has problems with its frequency scaling.
State-of-the-art-solution
So we (more precisely rmk40) thought of a better solution.
He wrote a native C Daemon which changes the govenors instantly without any lag.
This leads to major performance improvements right after turning on the screen and in the lockscreen.
But at the moment this solution is a little bit harder to configure. We are plaing to make a GUI for this, so you get the same comfort as using SetCPU.
Nevertheless you can even now adjust the daemon to your needs.
Be aware that the daemon only works if all CPU tuner apps are deinstalled. Otherwise it deactivates itself.
How to adjust the daemon
The daemon is configured with 6 files in the folder /system/etc/virtuous_oc/.
There are 3 files for the wake state and 3 for the sleep state. For each state one file for the govenor, one for the minimal frequency and one for the maximal frequency.
You can easily edit these files eg. with RootExplorer or any other app which can edit system files. So you can adjust the frequencies and the govenor for each state just like with SetCPU.
In order to get the available frequencies for the current kernel, just open your favorite terminal app and type
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_available_frequencies
You could also use adb shell to show the frequencies on your computer.
To get the available govenors use a similar approach:
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_available_governors
Please make sure, you are entering the right values in the daemon's config files.

So far it seems to be a nice, clean and fast ROM.
But I noticed 2 Things:
1.) The 4 buttons on the bottom (home, menu, back and search) are not enlightened. So you can't see them in dark surrounding
2.) Gmail is missing and I can't install it from Google Market
But: Nice Work *thumbs-up*

This is with Gmail is strange because it should be installed during first boot.

Great! I will download it sooner
As soon as the buttons lighting are fixed, this is getting a download! Well done guys.
At first: Thanks for your work! Nice to see a real Sense 3.0 ROM for our IncS.
The bugs (no video in landscape and backlight of the keys) seems to be a problem of most Gingerbread ROMs for IncS.
Do they come from the kernel or a bad file in the framework?
I thought it had something to do with the CRT affect. Is that included in this ROM?
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using XDA Premium App
We probably found a solution for the market issue with gmail. Any one here there has this problem and is able to try it?

Mhm seems unchanged.
After flashing the update, I still cant download Gmail from market.
Then I made a full wipe in recovery, and flashed the update right afterwards (without reboot)
Still no Gmail.
Maybe the Problem is that you cant download Gmail from the market in germany?
I even cant find Gmail in market .

Q:What governor/scheduler combo do you recommend
A: I recommend and run pegasusq governor and sio scheduler.
Q: I'm having battery/lag issues?
A: For optimal performance you need to be on the .246 ICS OTA since that is what this is based off of. No complaints if not on the ICS OTA.
Q: I'm thinking about making a mean or annoying comment?
A: Don't, its not taken kindly and you can expect the same type of comment back, if you don't like my rom, don't use it.
Q: I'm having xyz problem?
A: For any general problems, first try a reboot along with a cache and dalvik cache wipe along with a read through the thread!!

Awesome! Installing now, and looking forward to the results.
Looks sharp and great work!!! Sorli...
Beautiful rom! Been on this gem for a few days and everything is working great. Only issues are beats audio doesn't work for me and I can't get hotspot, or foxfi to work. Other than that.... this rom is a beast!

This rom lags to much! One you install apps on it, you'll see what i mean. There's only like 8 stock ring tones, beats audio has issues, you cant customize the pull down widgets, couldn't get rotation to work. Lock screen is very laggy, sometimes i couldn't unlock the phone. Hot spot or teathering doesn't work. Not worth the flash, uninstalled.

Wow that's a lot of issues. I've ran this rom hard on ss3.0.5 on one of the slots and had virtually none of those issues. Beats doesn't work but other than that it was flawless. And the only way you can customize pulldown toggles is on aosp, not blur, unless you can dev. Lol
But that sucks for you. Every device is different though.

Not a big problem but every now and then my phone won't launch apps. I could be doing something wrong but I have to restart the phone to get it to work. Still love this rom though. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Still a beautiful rom.

I'm enjoying the all the roms and hard work you seem to be putting into the developing community there man!
@Furioustylez
When reporting a issue with a ROM - like lags or FC's - it would be WAY more helpful to provide meaningful feedback in the form of logcat logs or detailed instructions on how to reproduce the problem.
@sbreen94
You being the OP and developer of the ROM doesn't mean you can go ahead and bomb on users reporting a issue, let alone calling them out being a "troll" for doing so. Also, double-posting because you forgot to include a quote you could have easily put into the first post ... please get used to how the forum works.
I cleaned up your little argument, and hereby you two consider yourselves warned. You two didn't stick to our rules about how people are supposed to engage and interact with each other (throwing insults back and forth isn't the right way).
Stay civil and be nice.
loving the ROM. JB has a few too many bugs to be my DD...this seems to be perfect so far

Thanks man, glad you like it!
can I flash this ROM with bootstrap instead of safestrap?
The rom includes some gsm or global support?
Internet dialing with built in dialer?
Another great ROM.
One thing I have been asking for someone to try to figure out since day one is how to enable the internet dialing in the built-in dialer - where you can setup accounts for VOIP. The moboblur roms have this feature removed - all the AOSP or whatever ROMS have it - but none of those have HDMI or lapdock ability.
My dream is to have built-in VOIP and lapdock working in the same ROM..hahaha - but thus far no one has done it.
You have any ideas?
Thanks!

What is VOIP? lol
Its pretty fast. Not a huge fan of the SIII stuff but kudos on a fast stable rom on the first try.
can I flash this ROM using bootstrap?
