I've been trying find a way to stream either wmv or iStream content with no luck, Specifically, from hockeystreams.com. Any suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks!

You could try tvbreak.net androidvideo.net has a few tv shows and actually supports Androids default video streaming app no flash required and freeonlineepisodes.net has a pretty good selection but requires flash and most of its megavideo links so there's a time limit at 72min and you have to wait 52min before u can watch again

WWW.vidpoint.webs.com has a lot of movies.
2 sites that I have found for videos that are good are androidvideo.net and androvision.net
Check for tvmoviestream.me, the right place to watch the lastest movies and episodes.
When I plug my galaxy tab into my tv to watch a movie,I don't get subtitles on the tv,only on the tab. Anyone know a way to do this. The only way for me at the moment is to hardcode them on the pc,but this is a slow process.

For anyone interested. My solution was to use the standard video player, name the subtitle file same as the movie and for viewing other languages not supported, open the subtitle file on a PC with Notepad and re-save them as .. And choose in the code page drop down menu ÜTF-8. This will then display any language

There is a trial version of Dice player, very awesome and supports subtitles inside the file. See if it works with the video out and if you like it, I know I do

I tried Dice player but unfortunately subs don't work with video out. My fix works perfect now though

Quick question does it show embedded subs? Ex. Subs that display on a flash video?

does it work with mkv files?
*.ASS (Advanced substation alpha) support?
What is the best software to use right now to get my DVD collection onto my Note?

You can use DVDfab or AVS video converter. I think they both encoding profile for Andriod devices.
ImToo converter is best in my opinion.. It has presets for almost all formats. You can also create profiles as would like. After creating a profile its just one tap for conversion. Can be downloaded from torrents but I would suggest paid app.

Why not use BSPlayer and just stream them from a file share?
Sent from my superior GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
Mobile phones are invented for mobility, when using file sharing we need to stick to a particular wifi network or if we are streaming thru Internet we need good connection all the time and continuous data usage. Either way not comfort as storing media in device. OP need those content in device so that he can view it even when he is in flight mode. So I think file sharing doesn't work for him.

Because my data would cost a fortune and it's not good enough in all of the UK.

Since it's the DLNA functionality that you want, an alternative to trying to get the Motorola media player back is to check out Qualcomm's Skifta DLNA free app available in the Google Play Store.
