I know it seems frivolous, but I've been using a Droid X for the past few days and while I firmly believe Samsung's Gingerbread is better (by miles), the Droid X has a screen rotation animation and it's a really nice little feature. It's very similar to the animation Honeycomb uses. Now I have all the frameworks extracted and I've decompiled "services.odex" to see if I can find out where it's at... I see a lot of UI smali's but I'm unsure of which one it's in.
If anyone would know where to look (specifically), or would be of any assistance, it would be most appreciated.
Or can this even be realistically incorporated into Samsung's frameworks?
I know what your talking about and it looks really nice. I hope someone can do this too.

Hi all. I came from the Droid X and I really miss the Motorola Multi-Touch keyboard. How can I get this keyboard on my thunderbolt?
I tried installing it using the link that Droid-life posted a while back, but it force closed like crazy.

Only way I've found so far is to download Smart Keyboard PRO. I've tried to use the methods from the evo forum, read the entire thread, even tried to splice it in myself and use user made .apk and .zip files.
wow, it seems like its pretty difficult... i'm currently using the htc_ime mod that came with virusrom. it seems pretty good, i just don't like where the button to switch to number input is. other than that, its pretty good. thanks for your help guys.
i wish someone would figure it out, i had a moto, and put the multi-touch keyboard on my incredible as soon as i got it. I really like that keyboard better than any ive had, i'll use the gingerbread til someone figures it out though...
still waiting....
Just get smartkeyboard there is a Droid x skin looks the same.

it looks like an emulator which never is smooth from what i've seen... if its not an emulator, then its obvious as to why the battery bar is charging lol. AMAZING idea, i just hope its not a battery drain. On the other hand, i barely use live wallpapers, not too sure i'd use this... BUT, maybe we are closer to widgets/weather animations inside the pulldown...
I read that you only have to change one file and it will only use battery when you pull it down. Maybe weather information/animation would be good.

Ok guys, im sorry I haven't gotten back at ya in a while but I have made wonderful progress, I am done with the rom. Only one problem, apktool is giving me this weird issue that I am not sure on how to fix but I had an epiphany on the rom and what is in it
What is going to be in this rom?
Shot of adrenaline
Complete red ics theme, transition animations and every thing
And a thanks to jrummy on letting me use liberty as a base for the rom,
AOSP rom later on in the distant future
Planned release date: as soon as I clear the issue w/ apktool
Please make requests in comments.
Notification toggles
Gsm fix
And the power of liberty
GNex boot ani vid

goog idea good luck!
RESTART option next to SHUT down
Better BlurCamera from Atrix
and some free aplications already installed, like Ymess,Gtalk,skype,facebook,office,...and feel free to add.
some start-up tweaks options, because i belive that less animations/sound means faster start-up.
1% Battery Increments
Build.prop edits for speed and increased battery life
Built-in permanent root via mount_ext3.sh file in bin
- GSM fix from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1326310
- Power toggles in drop-down-notification
- Better camera from Atrix (if needed vs the new 5.7.xxx rom)
- Options for Universal Inbox and Default text and maybe other requests (maybe like liberty rom options?)
- permanent root
Thanks! I'll check it out once its released
Yeah all of these requests with a non black theme perhaps, we have a few black them'ed roms already. Universal inbox is the biggest request I have and the stock lock screen with stock media player, these are all I need.

Oh and I like black themes . don't care much about themes tho.. simple = better IMO
nexus, or this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFMBfTlv5SA&feature=related
BUT WITHOUT the sound...
or just a simple black screen for the fastest start-up
i like the galaxy one better
appwidgetpicker
reboot in power options
if u can, make the ics lockscreen the main lockscreen (get rid of sliding door completely)
on the camera, which is better, the atrix or the 5.7? ive been using the 5.7 one lately
I personally think the 5.7 cam is way better, as soon as I loaded mav rom my camera is at least three times faster,

its an app that groups widgets...so instead of an app that lists, say 4 diff size widgets, itll be listed once, then by selecting it youll get all the choices

i thought so, but since some had mentioned it i wasnt sure
to everyone still using the atrix cam, try the new 5.7 cam. its very fast, WAY better than what we originally started with
Alright, so I am including the gnex boot ani, and notification widgets, and i will see if I could include the reboot options. I currently have the ics status bar working, it was very hard figuring out how to match the strings.xml with motorolas xml's, I will begin working hard on the rom tomorrow, today I am very busy

Oh..will you include GSM fix? It's not a big deal for me to change the value manually.. but it doesn't harm adding the fix at all! (turns off verizons trick to fake bad signal)

Is there a possibility that someone can port the motoblur from the DROID RAZR to the DROID 3 ? I like the blur on the razr and we could get it, but I wanted to see if we could get it.
Thanks
Sam

What's so special about the RAZR's rom? Isn't it essentially the same thing just with smart actions? It seems a lot easier just to try copying the smart actions apk over to the Droid 3 or just using a similar application that provides the same functionality.
I like the darker color scheme and the text below the apps on the main row on the home screens I like as well, but that's just my opinion.

Well as long as hashcode is working on CM9 this isn't such a big deal to me, and but I would love some of the features as well. The browser is supposedly way better then the Droid 3, and the transition between windows is quicker then the Droid 3 as well.
ICS now has the browser and all that working. Just waiting for the audio and camera from hashcode. Couple weeks i think

The stock ICS browser is freaking awesome... just saying
I threw this together and doesn't look too bad, but still much i plan on doing with it.
Youtube video of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3ApvKE4u_w&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Download link here:http://gunnermike53.com/Themers/dsubs317/mario64.zip
If you want to try it out, download the file, open up a root file explorer, find mario64.zip and copy it. Navigate to \system\media and paste the file. Rename the preexisting bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip1. Now rename mario64.zip to bootanimation.zip. Reboot and check it out.
To come: smoother & longer animation, reduced file size, hopefully some sound, and once that is accomplished, i want to get the droid guy in there instead of Mario...

If your looking for custom boot animations, I highly recommend Absolute System Root Tools. It has a ton of custom boot animations that you can install on the Bionic. There are more than a 100 of them to choose from and you can install or download them for further editing.

Yes, absolute root tools is a nice app with tons of boot animations, but very few, if any, are displayed at 540x960. Therefore you are left with a boot animation that plays but doesn't fit the screen like it should.

lol yes I've tried that but many come out to small, but seeing as you ported over many to work with the bionic on your website you should get a little recognition. Saves people like me from having to figure out how to resize them

I haven't had that problem with the ones I've used but your able to also download them, then edit them. All you have to do is extract the images and adjust their dimensions to your liking then add them back to the zip. May not be the perfect solution for everyone, but gives you many more options than we have.

I've been busy the past week with a few things but plan on getting the site updated shortly. So as of right now, no there's no screenshots but should have them up shortly. I can tell you that I know that at least 95% of them work fine. There are a few that I have not tested. If you feel up to it, test some out for me and let me know your findings.
