Hi, I´m just installed CyanogenMod 6 and gapps-mdpi-tiny-20101020-signed, but when started, I can´t "touch the android". Before installation I did wipe data, superwipe and fresh install but there is the same problem. Can you help me? Thanks
try this touch the 4 corners of the screen to skip installation here is a couple of videos showing you how to do it:

If that doesn't work wipe and reflash... if that doesn't work redownload wipe and reflash
I tried it yesterday, but when I did it, phone didn't find any network and in settings in Baseband version was Unknown. In cyanogenmod 4 I see in menu 2.22.23.02, i tried to reflash other radio 2.22.19.26i, but it didn't work either.
Sorry for my English
Looks like there was a problem in installation... missing basebands usually only happen to Samsung galaxy devices.... try unrooting then check if your basebands come back... if they do congrats... if they don't you won't be able to use your G1 as a phone anymore...
Sent from my HTC Vision
I tried: Unroot, install android 1.0, then by tutorial on Cyanogenmod Wiki I rooted phone (by telnet method) and I downloaded spl, radio, cyanogenmod and gapps, I flashed it, but there was the same problem. When I flashed another ROM (AOSP 2.2) radio works. And when I flashed CyanogenMod 5 Radio worked too, but when I restart phone, Rom can't started without wipe. BTW: Do you have any ROM 2.1 or 2.2.1 with Czech language?

Could you tell me how to do it, pls? What is the last version of radio? How to check it?
Settings / About / Baseband
If the version is 4.06 / 5.08 / 5.12 (the version is in the middle of the long string there) - then there's some other problem in the system. If the version is 4.02 or 4.04 - then you need to go to Developers forum, open any Gingerbread ROM thread, and see the instructions for flashing Radio. Or look at my signature.

The Baseband Version is 32.41.00.32U_5.08.00.04
What I'm thinking is could it be the problem because my Nexus had non original firmware before the GB update, and maybe I didnt make some important thing which blocking my camera now? Maybe I need to re-flash the radio with some original image? I'm totally NOOB in all these things...
Your radio is 5.08 - which means it's updated and the problem is elsewhere.
If you didn't upgrade to Gingerbread from a clean FRG83G build, but from some other build - you'll need to reflash the ROM. You can do it if you have unlocked bootloader. Read Wiki, it has the guide for installing custom ROMs - execute it, and use Gingerbread stock build from one of the threads in Development forum.

Thanks for your advices. Just upgraded the radio to 5.12 via fastboot. The camera still not work Will try to flash to original state...
ok, i've tried to rollback to original FRG83, se-flashed boot, recovery, but no luck - camera didnt started. Hovewer, i tried the flashlight torch and it started to work (it didn't like a camera before), so I'm sure now the camera issue is the software now - not a hardware.
Does anybody have some advices?

How did you flash frg83? via passimg or you flashed rooted rom from dev section? If you didn't use passimg method you should try wiping everything (cache, dalvik, factory reset) from the recovery.
BTW, if you have custom recovery you should be able to restore nandroid backup (which I assume you did;P ) and see if there is this problem too.
Cheers!

i've flashed frg83 using fastboot. And updated to 2.3.3 via recovery (RA-passion-v2.2.1). And yes, I wiped everything using the recovery. Unfortunately, I do not know what is nandroid backup, so I didnt do it
Hope there is a way to get my camera back to work... Could you tell me what to do, step by step, to make my Nexus fully functional with the 2.3.3 firmware, please!

I'd love to, but unfortunately I don't know what causes this problem at the moment I think it wouldn't hurt to try loging what is going on when you open camera.apk. Try adb logcat from your pc or install "alogcat" from market, start camera app and paste here the log file.
Lesson for future always do nandroid backup You can do this from recovery, it will do phone's memory image Then you can always revert back to what you had before flashing new rom

Yeah... backuping is a cool thing.... It is just my first experience with the Android phone... Maybe will find some kind of solution for this...
Well... Problem stays... However I've found few interesting things. As I've mentioned above, after the 2.3.3 update the camera and flashlight doesnt work enymore. But I've installed Z-DeviceTest and found that after the reboot this app (which provides the hardware test) sees the camera and flashlight! But, unfirtunately, doesnt able to test it. Moreover, if to start some torchlight widget directly after the reboot, the flashlight works!!! But it is not after the camera start... So, maybe someone will find this information useful.
@Pomka
have you found the Satu Solution yet ?
mmm. i guess you borrow from somebody the nandroid back up and restore it...
then u will know whether it is a hardware issue or Software Issue.
Logic ?

Hey boys & girls
I've got a problem:
Every time when i flash a Sense Rom on my Nexus One everything is fine when i start it up. Network is fine and also Mobile Data is fine, but when press the sleep/wake button to lock the screen the mobile data dissapears
Then when i enter settings to turn it on again, it's not getting on
That happens to me on every Sense Rom (Kingdom v0.2, evil's NXSense, Modacos r24,..)
The APN Settings are correct.
I'm really pissed of because the Roms are great but they are useless for me without Mobile Data
My Phone:
Radio Update - 5.12.00.08
RA-passion-v2.2.1
HBoot 0.35.0017
Any suggestions?
What recovery are you using if your using clockwork 3.x I would change to either a previous version of clockwork (i.e. 2.5.1.4). And if your on Amon RA then I would try doing a temasek system wipe before flashing your ROM.
I'm using Amon RA-passion-v2.2.1.
What is a "temasek system wipe"?
When I flash a CM7 onto my nexus one there is no mobile data problem, only with these sense roms.
temasek wrote a script to do a more thorough wipe than the one normally performed through recovery...
Heres a copy of the script:
http://db.tt/fH1vZNM
Temasek system wipe is a .zip file that will wipe the system partition of the phone this will sometimes solve problems when flashing ROMs. Here is a link to the zip just flash it like any other zip http://www.mediafire.com/?7l9nadd9ekkp7ae
EDIT: You beat me to it danger
thanks guys! I will test it and let's see if it solves the problem
Edit: Does this also wipe battery stats, so that i have to calibrate my battery?
Ok i flashed the extremewipe.zip and then flashed a rom onto my nexus one. Now the phone reboots into the fastboot mode everytime a press "reboot phone" in the recovery menue. How can i fix that?
Sounds like it might be missing the boot partition. What firmware did you flash?
eViL's NXSense HD
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with Sense-based firmwares. Have you tried an alternate to see if it is limited to that particular one? Maybe try and flash CyanogenMod as I know that will work fine after using the Extreme Wipe.
Okay now I'm on CM7 and everything works! Is it possible that i need a froyo radio when i use this sense based roms?
Gingerbread works best with the 5.08 radio (found under Settings -> About phone -> Baseband (we take the two sets of numbers after the underscore "_"). I don't think Sense has any additional requirements with it.
I think the the ROM you flashed didn't contain anything for the /boot partition (or it just screwed up with the flash)... but that is just a guess.
So, I have to roll this thread up again.
Now I'm back on CM7 Nightly, everything works also data
And I think I tested all Sense Roms out there for the Nexus One and for me only KingX's Sense Rom and NexDesire were working.
But with these two, Bluetooth isn't working
On every other Sense Rom it is the same
I start the Rom and Data is there and after i press the sleep button to turn the display off, my mobile data dissapears, I have no clou what is wrong with my N1.
On all the Gingerbread Roms my mobile data works but the Sense Roms are killing it.
I just want to use a Sense Rom
Sorry for waking up the dead but I have the same issue. It seems to be an incompatibility between libhtc_ril.so in the rom with the radio that nexus one is running. Now, Im not sure how that could be generalized because many users have installed same roms that we tried and as well same radios and no issues with radio/data disconnecting when screen goes to sleep.
So, again, any bright mind cares to give a spoon of wisdom?
What are we missing?
Posted this in the wrong place... so here I go again.
Alright as the Title says I got a problem with Froyo.
First of all, this is the first time i ever tried anything with a cellphone, although so far it went well (took me long though).
First I removed an old version of cyanogenmod from the old user.
Then I followed this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1098899
Then I installed Froyo by Laszlo 5.2
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=929678
Now to my ultimate surprise, I actually got this all done and it works perfectly, except for one thing. Wifi does not work. When I turn it on it starts scanning for networks, then gives the message "unable to scan for network" and Wifi automaticly gets turned off again. Before installing this I always found 2 networks from the point I'm sitting now.
I simply got no clue what it could be.
Some info. Following the guide for radio and boot I got the correct information in the bootloader as mentioned in step 3:
Dream PVT 32b SHIP S-on
HBOOT 1.33.0013d (drea10000)
CPLD-4
RADIO 2.22.28.25
OCT 21,2009,22:33:27
About Phone:
Android version 2.2.1
Baseband version 62.50SJ.20.17U_2.22.28.25
Kernel version 2.6.34.8-froyobylaszlo [email protected] #1
Mod version FroyoByLaszlo-5.2
If you need more info, just ask.
And thanks in advance,
Greetings,
Noddahead
edit:
Little update here. On some forums I found that a file bcm_supp.conf in /data/wifi caused a problem like mine. When I plug in my phone in my pc I only see the sd card. Therefore I installed sdk/adb thing, connected with my phone (correctly). and I manually tried to remove the file via cmd. This resulted in the notification that the file did not exist.
Hence, back to nothing. Any way I can make my internal memory show up again?
All in all it seems like I got the same problem as many people had with Froyo. But it seemed solved for everyone after a certain patch. My Froyo version is obviously more recent. And no one seems to have this problem with this version of Froyo (in the Froyo by Laszlo thread page 97ish and forth)
Alright. I'm trying my very best but I'm really clueless right now.
After not getting this wifi to work I tried the COS-DS mod. Installing it and everything went fine, except for one thing: the settings menu would not open.
Not being able to do anything on that I went on to the next to the next rom: Cyanogenmod 7 Magpie. Once again, most things work, but some do not. I started out with an input.latin error, which I somehow fixed. I do not have a status bar, and I think I'm missing some other things too... for example, the android market does not appear. Wifi does work now though.
I have no clue what's going on... do I just need to start over from scratch? Trying Froyo again? I could really use some advise.
Noddahead
Have you tried wiping properly before flashing the new roms because I've never had a wi-fi issue unlees it was broken in the kernel which is rare these days.
Thank you for replying.
I am back to Froyo by Laszlo now, seems the best option. Before installing that I wiped cache, wiped data/factory reset, and I used Ohsaka Superwipe. But no Wifi.
Using another Kernel with Froyo by Laszlo did not help.
Well, last update here. Never got it to work, now having succes with GingerYoshi. This topic can be locked.
try everything???? re partition and re format sd card, try ezbifftest 2708 kernel, i had best luck with laszlo rom
First of all, thank you for your guide.
I had not actually partioned before installing froyo, and I did partition before using Ginger right now.
If I would repartion right now, and then reformat... can I then instantly install froyo laszlo and the kernel? And what values for the partioning?
you can flash a rom whenever you want, as long as you wipe all data from previous rom or mod first,so i would repartition to this
96-128mb=swap
512mb=ext
than flash the ohsaka superwipev2, power off device than reboot back to recovery.
flash the rom you want and enjoy!!
re-partitioning/re-formatting does not have to be done everytime.. it's just good to do every once in a while because you never know what could be happening in there... you or a developers rom could have done something somewhere that caused a bug in your sd partitions so its always good to wipe them at some point...
the ohsaka superwipe i do reccomend using everytime!! I also recommend wiping it manually sometimes... also another good known method is a fastboot wipe 'i forget the cmd for it' lol but do these every once in a while...
Did exactly as you said, unfortunately I still get the same problem: Cannot scan for networks.
I will stick to Gingeryoshi for the moment.
Thank you for your time and help.
wow, thats a bummer... i never had that issue with laszlo's rom at all... i wonder what could be wrong. sorry i couldn't help.. just out of curiosity what device do you have? is it a dream or magic?
possibly if you are using a magic, you may need a kernel with wlan.ko modules included for the specific kernel(would be icluded in kernel.zip file)... different kernels wont work with different drivers...
It is a Dream
Hi,
at first i try to post in the related thread, but i havn't enough posts to do this.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development-i9305/rom-beta-t2535996
After flashing the latest ROM my phone can't get a network connection. Wifi works. I used CWM 6.0.4.7, SlimKat Build 3.6 and the latest gapps from SlimRom (Build 3). I can't receive baseband, network, phone number or IMEI in the settings. All is unknown. Also when the phone starts, it doesn't ask for my PIN.
Re-install doesn't work. Another SIM doesn't work, too. CM 10.1.3 works fine.
Model: GT-I9305
Provider: Vodafone
Baseband: I9305XXUEMK1
Some ideas?
That is not a rom problem, for sure.. What can I say, you are doing everything right, but I might recommend using Philz recovery, I've never had any problem with it. Reboot recovery, full wipe and then flash
Try to flash with Odin latest stock 4.3 kernel and then try again with wiping everything before.
Hey guys,
thanks for your advices. I wasn't at home, so I couldn't response or even try it.
Today I flashed the new SlimKat 3.8 (still with CWM) and it works Maybe it was a problem with the ROM.
Thanks anyway :good:

For sure it was problem with ROM. Actually with radio ROM, not the Android itself.
Make a backup of your ROM and save radio image from it.
Then you can flash some other ROM you like and flash this working radio image after that.
