Maybe look in the market for a microphone control app. see if there is one that turns it on or off. and try to turn it on again

[Q] Need to disable phone wile playing music

Hello guys, got my SGS 2 weeks now.
I'm very noobish at changing anything on phone, like flashing or even root it.
Ive tryed some applications to firewall incoming calls, and some to put the phone to sleep. None work as i wanted.
Im a fitness intructor and i want to use my SGS with all my music for classes, and obviously, i cannot receive any calls during that time.
The firewalls make music lag, removing and re-insert sim card all day, is preety annoying. Airplane mode doesnt let me use bluetooth, wich i need to stream by A2DP protocol.
My old samsung omnia did have a disable phone option... is there any app to let me do it on android?
Thanks in advance

Why don't you just put it into airplane mode

[q] se mw 600

I've jst purchased the sony ericsson mw 600 bluetooth handset. While using it to make calls, i'm not able to get the voice over on my mw600's headphones. It comes via the speakephone on tab. Infact even on my iphone 4 the same thing is happening.
Can anyone pls help me in sorting out this issue ???
Read the manual. I use the SE MW600 with my TAB
I did. It says to press the call button on handset after the call has been dialed. Did that but it did not work. U did not have to do any settings for ur handset ??
thanks ! rechecked the manual. Got it sorted !!
Are you guys able to connect the headset to the media? If so, what is your firmware version?
The phone connection works fine but, even tough the profile is set, I can't get it to connect for media use. The logcat doesn't show any exception (or any clue regarding media).
Sorry for the thread hijack.

[Q] bluetooth "call" button not working on ICS

As the title says, the call/handsfree button on all my bluetooth devices is not functioning since upgrading to ICS (ARHD 3.0, specificly).
On GB, pushing the button would open my voice command app (or prompt me to pick which app), but under ICS, absolutely nothing happens.
Also, app audio (voice prompt, for example) won't pipe through and will just go through the phone speaker.
But said bluetooth devices work fine when a call is actually made and also my bluetooth headphones play audio fine.
Anyone got any idea how to make it work again?
I had an issue with voice command via bluetooth. I found that after you have set it up you need to go back to your bluetooth menu, delete the pairing, and re-pair. That fixed it for me.

I'm also with same problem, ICS 4.0.3.
Bluetooth button - 1 press, don't work, 2 press works (repeat last call)
With music player, button works on press (play/stop)
Seems that the problem is to launch voice command with only one button press.
Anyone same problem /solution ?
Thanks.
After uninstalling/reinstalling various voice command apps, it seems to have started working again for no apparent reason. The "what app do you want to use" dialog came up and now works.

[Q] When making a call from my phone have the call audio on the phone by default

I looked around for an answer, but can't seem to find one. Whenever i make or answer a call with my watch connected, it defaults to the speaker and mic on my watch, which can sometimes get annoying. Any way to make it so that if i initiate the call, or answer the call using my phone, it uses my phone's audio without having to switch it? I'm wondering if tasker or something can do this, override the default device to phone if the answer action or call action was initiated from the phone.
Thanks
If you are using gear manager, it should default to whichever device is initiating the call

I am, but i'm using it on a Nexus 4 and i had a lot of trouble getting it running. I might try a different version i guess. Good to know that's how its meant to behave.
Thanks a lot for the reply
I don't think Tasker can control the default there, but it can help some. Using Tasker with Bluetooth AutoConnect, I can enable/disable the phone handling part of the Bluetooth connection. If I am at home, or connected to my car's built in Bluetooth, I don't want to talk to my watch, so I disable then. When I'm out walking around, I'm more likely to want to answer with the watch, so I enable then. When its disabled, I use a custom Tasker scene to do caller id as well as answer and hangup buttons on the watch.

That sounds really interesting and like a good solution, would mind going into a bit more detail on how you did it? I'm not very familiar with tasker.
Thanks!
