hi, sh4d0w86.. but these apps are about pickup lines. and theyre dont explain the different phases of pickup, like, opening, comfort, and seduction.
do you know of any apps that explain these elements?

can anyone recommend a drinking game they have on their android? just something to have when you're sitting around with some people?
haha pretty random but there is a simple app in the market called spin the bottle. when we around a group of people and bored we play it. whoever the bottle points too have to drink. a boring game by itself, but when alcohol is involved, people dont really care lol.
http://www.cyrket.com/package/com.idean.spin
this is another an interesting drinking game: http://www.cyrket.com/package/sch.dan.BeerWord
"Beer-Word is a drinking game on your phone. Great for parties
It will give you a word, Then it will call a random person and block your number. You must get the person to say the word without saying it yourself. If you can everyone drinks. If not you drink
uses *67 which is free"
hey great suggestion with the bottle app!
the other one seems like a terrible idea...i dont wanna call my mom or something like 3am drunk as hell
use the youtube app and search "crouching beer hidden tequila"
Its one of my favorites. Me and my friends play it a lot (its our actual video)
1) you need equal amounts of beer and liquor shots. beer and tequila works be since they look similar.
2) You count down 3...2...1... point at someone and call out a number from 2- until the limit (not too high since you have to count we usually don't go over 18)
3) start counting out your number starting at 1 being the person you are pointing at, 2 being the person they are pointing at, 3 is who they are pointing at and so on until you reach the number you called out.
4) Then you close your eyes and take a random shot off the tray (a tray is best so it can be moved around and the shots shuffled, that way no one cheats by picking beer every time).
A few rounds and you are toast.
Umm definitely beerpong and power hour!

Thats why i said to look up the vid in the youtube app... but i did understand and i just wanted to share
BTW we usually use 12 beer and 12 tequila... a shot glass checkers set is the way too go.
Couple of drinking games we play ...
1: Roxanne - you need only have an MP3 of Roxanne on your phone.
The rules are simple, split your mates into two groups and assign each to be either "Roxanne" or "red dress". When you play the song, everytime sting sings "Roxanne" that team drinks, everytime he sings "red dress" then that team drinks.
2rink while you think aka the name game
First person names a celebrity at randomthe next person then has to name another celeb whose first name starts with the first letter of the previous spoken celebs last name. The drinking comes in as the name of the game says .. you have to be drinking whilst thinking of a name.
if anyone is still interested other than me, try out "2 player reactor" on the market. person who answers last drinks. person who answers wrong drinks...!
how is beerpong? is it worth $0.99? there r some comments on market but i wanted to kno the opinion of xda members

"Things are about to change, as id President Todd Hollenshead announced during the QuakeCon 2009 press conference that Quake Live would soon be adding support for Linux and Macintosh systems. Users who want to catch an early glimpse of the enhancements can do that at QuakeCon, since both versions of the plugin are available for testing on the show floor. Non-attendees will have to wait for the update that is scheduled to come on August the 18th, this Tuesday."

"On the heels of the recent announcement that Quake Live will be coming to Mac and Linux, a new subscription service was announced. John Carmack, founder of id Software, told a crowd at QuakeCon that in-game advertisements would no longer be enough to support the project and keep it free to play. The subscription service will become available at a future date for an undisclosed fee. A subscription would grant the user the ability to create their own private server and customize it to their liking. A subscription will never be required, allowing those gamers who don't choose to purchase one to continue to play the game for free."
No such issue for free users "unless we want extras"
After installing the plugin, when it loads the game it hangs up at around 74%. Tried twice...

Ive just released a widget pack ( search for miromind - widgetpack ) to the market which contains:
An application dock widget (4x1) which can have as many shortcuts as you like and can be browsed directly from the homescreen.
Clicking on the widget will give you an easy manager which allows you to add applications and all shortcuts like contacts, bookmarks etc and arrange them how you like.
And it contains a clock designer widget (1x1/2x2) which allows you to easily create your own personal new clocks by selecting the graphics for the clock dial and hands.
If anyone is using it let me know if you like it.
is source code available?
IS there a trial version? I don't want to have to buy it just to try it....
question?
can we have a trial version please, or can we try it out before buying
You can try out any app on the market and refund within 48 hours if you don't like it. Trials versions are pointless with that system in place.
I was actually going to make something similar to the clock designer widget.. you beat me to it. Fiddlesticks.

How on earth does that make them pointless? Yes, I can buy the app, check it out, and I may not like it. So I get my refund. No problem so far. Well a month down the line, the dev makes improvements on the app (aka updating), now, if I want to check out the improvements made, I have to buy the app for good, the request for a refund is a one-time deal.
If the app had a TRIAL version, I can continue to test out new features, and if I decide I now like the app, I can buy it. So unless you have some magical power on your phone that lets you refund an app over and over again, please, do share, because for the life of me I can't figure out where you begin to think of thoughts such as the one you previously voiced.
I'm not trying to be rude, just trials are there for that specific reason I just mentioned.

Not trying to be rude either but I think it's pretty cheap to ask for a trial version of something that costs €1.25.. We're not talking huge amounts of cash here. If you spent that much on a drink you didn't like, you'd throw it away and never think about it again. Isn't it worth a punt of a couple of (insert local currency here) to support people developing the android platform?
Anyway.. lets stay on topic and not hijack rogro82's thread.

That may be a role in it but I don't see it as a bad thing. It has its pro and cons:
Pros:
- Google sees this as a threat and significantly improves their app market. (Competition... something that AT&T / T-Mobile doesn't value -_-; incoming Market War? In the end it'll cause the two companies to improve their market/app store whatever you want to call it)
- 15 Minute Trial? Nawww.
Google's Android Market lets you return apps for a full refund within the first 15 minutes after you buy. Apple, by comparison, does not allow for trial periods on iOS devices. Amazon is taking a similar approach to Google by letting you test drive apps on your PC. "You control the app with your mouse and experience it like you would on your phone," Amazon's Test Drive Apps page reads. The feature lets you try the app within your browser before you decide to buy. This feature appears to be reserved for some of the more popular titles and may not be available for all apps.

^^ winner?
- Some apps are cheaper on Amazon App Store than the Market.
- Free Paid App of the Day (free paid apps? with permanent updates? huge winner -- at least i believe its permanent updates)
- Countries that don't have access to the Android Market are able to buy apps and get free apps.
Cons:
- Possible that more companies will start their own "App Store" and Android will be more spreaded out in terms of App Markets.
just some of the things on top of my head.
And the worst part is that it's unavailable in several countries.
I couldn't care less about Amazon, but I do want Angry Birds Rio.

Microsoft has already started appealing the term "app store" awhile back. So Amazon would be on Microsoft's side. And I would agree with Microsoft that the term "app store" is too generalized.
http://www.xconomy.com/seattle/2011...tore-a-trademark-that-microsoft-also-opposes/
The Seattle area’s two tech giants, Amazon.com and Microsoft, find themselves on the same side today—battling a trademark claim by Apple. As expected, Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) said Tuesday that it was indeed opening its new Appstore for Android, despite a recent federal lawsuit by Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) claiming trademark infringement of that company’s App Store brand.
Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) has been opposing Apple’s attempt to secure the App Store brand name for a while now, but in a different venue—an appeal with federal trademark regulators.

And since we're on Android... I'm going to go ahead and assume that we all want Amazon/Microsoft to win this lawsuit. Not being a fan boy or anything, but I hate Apple's guts when it comes to making lawsuits on patents/etc.
Besides, in most court cases.. even if they lose. So what? it would either end up in the following ways:
A) Amazon pays money to Apple and continues using 'App Store.'
B) Renames it to something else.
@AllGamer: You don't have to use Amazon App Store to make purchases. You could just simply use it to get 'Free Paid Apps of the Day'
But Amazon is pretty trustworthy. Huge successful corporations. I personally just did it to get Angry Birds Rio and gotta say... the graphics in Rio are much more superb than the original Angry Birds & Angry Birds Seasons.
In the end, the developer of the app/game is still getting paid. Thats what really matters.... isn't it?
For some reason it won't let me get Rio. It says I need to add a payment method to my one-click settings, which I checked and there is a payment method...

I figured this out in case anyone runs into the same issue. Apparently you can't use your Amazon store card (the non-Visa card) as a payment option for the app store. I put in one of my credit cards and it works now.

Well.. it's a very good one Hopefully we'll see some significant changes from Google to their market. Maybe incorporate some of their ideas into the official market.
Today's free paid app, the poker game didn't really appeal to me so I didn't bother with getting it.
Really liking the changes done in Angry Birds Rio.
