IGNORE, some how fixed it...noob
Hello, and sorry to annoy, no idea what im doing.
Tried to install CM7 but got like a loop of the CM7 skater, so I tried to restore a backup, however when i rebooted I got to the LG sign with the loading bar beneath, however this stalls and proceeds no further.
I have v3.0.2.8 ClockworkMod and can get there but no idea where to go next.
Trying to get stock rom back or CM7 working, either way, would just like a phone not a brick
Massive nood, any help would be awesome
cheers
you can always nvflash it back to stock. check the forums at XDA/modaco for more info.
edit: here's the link in case you can't find it

Hey guys i don't know if anyone of you had the same issue but any info/help could be helpful.
I used to flash my N1 A LOT! but today i have this strange issue. I wiped and flashed rodriguezstyle again for a clean start, but i only got the colorful X with the unlocked symbol at the bottom and then just a black screen. i thought I've done something wrong and flashed again, but with the same results.
i changed my sd and downloaded again the rom but still no luck, did a nandroid restore and the phone was working properly. then i got a bit frustrated. downloaded 2-3 more roms but the result was the same.
i read somewhere that flashing with battery <50% may cause some errors so left the phone off to fully charge and tried again... no luck
then i remembered i upgraded the radio and i downgraded it to the old one, but still the same results and nandroid doesn't work... jeeeesh... back to the new radio and to my nandroid, but its no fun owning a smart-phone if you cannot flash it.
anyone with the same issue or any helpful tips/instructions?
Try this:
When the phone hangs at boot, reboot to recovery, wipe cache and dalvik-cache and reboot from recovery. Does that work?
If not, you'll need to logcat the boot process and post the log somewhere for us to have a look at.
So, assuming adb is working on your computer, plug in via usb, use adb logcat > output.log and reboot the phone. Continue logging for about 60 seconds after the phone stops.
Post the log to www.pastebin.com and then link back here.
hmmmm ok i will post results in abt an hour. thanx!
hmmmm i think i sorted it out... reflashed recovery. propably i messed smthing in there! thanx for your effort!
Hello everyone!
Weird problem here, too.
I was backing up my SD card in view of a format/cleanup....and when I went to boot into recovery, my N1 was stuck on the black screen with the white letters at the bottom "Build : RA-nexus-v1.7.0.1"... The phone actually boots great, it is just not loading the recovery image. Is it possible that part of the flash got corrupted? If so, I'm pretty much done flashing my N1, right???
I'll post a log asap (if it could help any)...
Oh and btw i tried to re-flash Amon-RA's recovery twice already...Superboot said it was successful....but I doubt it...
Well try flashing stock rom! I flashed it through fastboot step by step and it worked. Also check if the rom you try to flash needs ext partition or if apps2sd is enabled

just installed cyanogen on my nexus 1 everything seemed to go fine now its booting but i just get cyanogen mod icon on boot and arrow goes around and around but nothing happens can anyone help please
edit i used the 1.5.3 apk and cyanogen rc3
is there no way to recover
i think stuck in a boot loop but how do i recover
I'm no expert - but when I get a boot loop, I pull the battery, boot into recovery and either try the install again or revert to last working ROM.
Just boot into the bootloader and restore the backup you made.
The phone isn't bricked. You can really only brick the phone by pulling out the battery while flashing the radio.

Hey guys,
I recently got a new phone so haven't been using my milestone anymore and a friend offered to buy it from me.
So I of course was going to flash a stock sbf back on for him, i chose to flash 2.2.1.
I immediately ran into problems.
First off it worked fine, rsd (ver 5.3.1) gave me a pass, i disconnected the phone and rebooted, the android logo shows up and all is joyful in the world.
This is where the problems arise...
I rebooted into recovery to do a full wipe, and a cache and dalvik wipe, then i rebooted once more.
Instead of rebooting normally the phone now just goes immediately to bootloader.
No matter what i try it jsut alays goes back to bootloader straight away. there is no error message it just says ok to program blah blah like normal.
i've since flashed all the different bootloaders, the vulnerable recovery, every single moto sbf i could find, i even tried removing the volume buttons and keyboard to make sure the buttons weren't broken and automatically taking me there due to a short.
no luck.
did i kill this milestone? seriously, any ideas would be appreciated because i am totally stumped now.
Cheers.
Please someone help. I still havent gotten any further with this.

Did you try restoring a stock nandroid, that is if you can enter recovery mode.

I was fiddling around with ROM Manager and installed the touch recovery, when I tried to reboot into recovery my phone just hung at the LG boot screen. I am at a loss on what to do with it, is there some type of software I can download to fix this?
Have a look into this thread:

Hello.
For 2 months i used stock 4.04 Dovakin or something like this. Yesterday i decided to get back to 4.2 cm 10.1. i Flashed a rom and now when i turn of the phone i get a white screen saying this: Encryption unsuccessful. Encryption wa interrupted and can't complete. As a result, the data on your phone is no longer accesible. To resume using your phone, you must perform a factory reset, you'll have an opportunity to restore any data that backed up to your Google Account.
The big issue is that i cant start it in Recovery mode.. i dont know why..
Can anybody help me with this issue?
Thanks!
search for an NVFlash rom, it will surely fix your phone.
