[q] help me please to install android? - XPERIA X1 Android Development

plz any one can tell me How much time take to install Android on X1 for first use? becz I try to run android on x1 (EXT2 & CWM method) but its take too much time. I was waited 2hr but android not started. so any one can guide me to install android on SE Xperia x1???? plz

Android installation takes not more than 10 minutes. I think about 5minutes.
Have you done the installation step by step, like you can read here (CWM) or here (EXT2). I think there is a tutorial on xda too but I found this one faster. If you think you allready followed these steps, check everything and try again, so we know that this part is correct.
Can you write us the ROMs you allready tried and did not worked for you?

I have tried all builds methods (FAT32, ext2, CWM) but Android not installed on my x1. I have read & done the installation guide step by step. even I have watched youtube videos for installing android on SE Xperia x1. I have tried all android 2.2 roms which are posted on XDA forum.
I stuck on something like this-
"waiting for sd card
[ 197.395874] mdp irq alredy on 4 4
[ ] mdp_dma: busy

I was waited over than 2 hr many times for installing android on xperia x1 but installing process was not completed.

I think there is a problem with the sd-card. Which SDcard do you have?
Have you another one to try this one.
Have you make all ext2 partitions primary?

The most easiest Android ROM to install is here F1 Froyo 2.2.2 V3, but most likely you should set the OC value to 600MHz or even to 512MHz (edit startup file to do it).
I hope you haven't missed this great tutorial
Good luck!

[Solved] tar: can't open 'sdcard/andboot/androidinstall.tar

Hello,
I have an problem about installing / applying the update for the kernel.
Im trying now for almost 1 week. Maybe when u read this u think again an newbie that tries android on his kaiser.
I searched the forum an couple of times and didn't find an solution thats why i make an new thread. My problem is the following.
whatever i try to install android or the kernel update i see this message before it dissappear to the install menu.
Installing:
tar: can't open 'sdcard/andboot/androidinstall.tar' : no such file or directory exist
My setup:
Phone: HTC Kais130
Bootloader: 3.34 HardSPL
Radio: 1.71.09.01
Kernel: 2.6.32 (also tried with the 2.6.25)
Mutiple micro sd cards (from 2 - 8 gb) formatted in Fat32 or Fat
Roms: i tried: Incubus26Jc's Super FroYo 2.2 Froyo[2.2.2]: My Modified Fresh Froyo
Flashing the kernel doens't give any problems. i created the KAISIMG.NBH with atools.
Does anyone know what to do? cuz im out of options. I got 4 Kaisers here with all at the same problem.
Is the file really there?? is it a tar??

Hello Daedric thanks for responding.
Uhm these are the files i on the sd card at the moment.
/KAISIMG.nbh
/andboot/androidinstall.tar ( i tried also several times with .tgz)
/andboot/androidupdate.tar
with the option 1 install system i get that error and the same with option 4 install update.
I format my micro sd every time i try or change the files. What is following u the best way of format and which one?
edit:
I just saw the link of Kaiser android wiki and followed exactly the staps about the kernel with cache en scoot rs3. Still the same error. Sd card formatted in fat32 with 4k cluster.
Is there not an way i can flash it directly to the nand trough usb? This because i got 3 non working devices, and 1 turned back to 6.5.3
Hello again,
Solved the problem.
somehow the 3 micro sd's i used were corrupt, i bought one new one and tried the one on the kaiser wiki. And there it is it worked.
So for anyone else that have this problem and u find this with google.
Get other sd's

[Q] Bug or Good?

Hello every one, this is my first thread on XDA
Well, I have the Xperia X8 (e15a) Black and I cant unloock bootloader,I have tested 13 ROM´s from diferent developers and there is something what I dont Understand...
Each time what I try to make full wipe/factory reset, when it comes the sd-ext appears: "ERROR MOUNTING SD-EXT, SKIPPING FORMAT" , so, when the ROM gets installed, all my apps appears like they been in internal storage instead SD and only fill a few MB of memory, but this only happens in ROM´s with 2.3.7 and Gingerbread classic style (black background)
When I try to install a ROM with 2.3.7 and kind of Xperia style (blue background) or different to Gingerbread style, says "ERROR MOUNTING SD-EXT, SKIPPING FORMAT" , but no apps are installed at the end and I cant access to sd-ext...
I cant post any Pictures, I dont know why
Can anyone explain me please?
this is a bug?,
is normal?
my SD is broken or something?
Thanks for yor attention
P. The only ROM´s which meke total full wipe , even my SD- ext are the Ginger DX
It isn't a bug dude. You don't have an ext partition on SD Card, so it is skipping.

It's not a bugg it just tells you that you dont have an sd ext2 partitio.

Internal storage read only?

Hey guys I just have a problem with my old i9000... I know that the emmc is dead but what I don't understand is that I can see my old files in the CWM...
And after a reboot with an SD card (ext2 and fat32) it show German language(FC of systemapps in german) but I didn't change the Language to German after I reflashed with Odin . So I'm a bit confused and my phone too lol.
No one?
Can't delete any file on the internal storage

I think this is due to corrupt files in your Internal , making it impossible to write, the undermentioned method should fix it
If your phone is rooted
use terminal emulator
type su for superuser mode
Code:
type su
type fsck_msdos -y /dev/block/vold/179:3
above command will delete the corrupt file and fix read only problems in Internal SD card
BUT you need to make sure your internal SD card is mounted as 179:3 or it has a different reference NO.
so use system info apk or any other to find out the correct mount point of your Internal SD card first.

hi,
which rom did you install? Could you report the rom's file name?
daniga74
Probably might be the bug within the Rom. Try a Factory Reset and see whether it helps or not.
