Thanks , but Ive already done this. And I want to remove it because of my warrany. I have the same phone next to me here and I did a nadondoid backup with it. Then I flashed the backup in the phone which I want to send to provider but Ive still the cwm installed. And I need the branding. Without I cant send it to my provider. Ive tried the method with nvflash and after I tried the LG Update tool. But it said my firmware is already the latest. So... I. dont know what to do. ... Please help guys. Youre my only chance. Thank you very much.

Hi, nvflash means back to stock. Nvflash should bring you to stock with no root, recovery, nothing at all... I guess, in order to remove Cwm, is to use nvflash.

Here's a thread of mine on how to flash back to stock
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1127849

Mh, thank you all for the answers, but my big problem is that I need the 1&1 branding in the rom. And I really don´t know how to get it (on a stock rom).

What does the 1&1 branding look like? Only knew unbranded and Vodafone-branded firmware, thought that 1&1 distributes the unbranded 2X

Paul gave a zip in modaco forum to remove CWM (cant post the link here, but just search remove cwm optimus 2x and its there in the second result)
how can you generate such a zip? as I want to backup my stock recovery from brazil claro operator V10a
or can I flash taht zip in my V10 and all will be good?

p970g android 2.3.4 v20j root help

i recently bought a p970g from koodo android 2.3.4 with v20j firmware ..im a total newb at this and searched to no avail on how to get it rooted.... superone click hangs at root 7 stage ..unlock root can't find shell root .....lg drivers are installed sucessfully... tried cw method but that tutorial isnt for newbs and not too detailed ..can someone simplify it for me..or in other words spell it out and direct links to the exact downloads i need ..much appreciated thanks
Hi jaynjolie
Enter here search the download page and download UPK 3.7
inside that zip file you will find BlackJack then follow the instruccions to root your phone, it's really easy
Afaik blackjack doesn't work on GB firmware
FDN
do it work or not please? can someone verify this phone and be rooted and still work with koodo Canada provider? thank you
fw version doesn't matter, and blackjack won't work. you have to flash binary files with smartflash. later, you can easily update your apn config file with this. but before all, be sure that you've tried all known methodds correctly (superoneclick, unlockroot, esteem...)

Apn for koodo
Apn = sp.koodo.com
Proxy = 74.49.0.18
Port = 80
I have the koodo fw in bin/fls format with cwm already injected so you'd just have to use smartflash to get it on your phone, then reboot into recovery and flash superuser to gain root access. Let me know or try the cwm inject method yourself. You can get the koodo branded fw at http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=1

sure would love to have that firmware ..would you provide the link or you can pm me if you don't prefer to upload it ? and do i need to enter the apn myself or is it not needed on your firmware? thanks
smartflash will erase everything, so backup all saveable things. CWM will let you to do backups after having flashed. A specific branded fw is not necessary, unless if it's your aim. this way you'll avoid additional apps included by the operator, but they're also downloadable on store maybe ?
erasing eveverything isnt a big deal ..my phone is a week old and only a few contacts to add ...im not concerned about that... i just want to install the best firmware compatable with my device with the cwm already added so i can flash it with smartflash ..so it is easier for me ...im very new to phone modification ..but im not bad with computers...what FW is recommended .....thanks for your responses

?thanks for your help
no problem, it's only the default language of the fw. it should detect your network's language and switch automatically at first boot when the wizard is launched. if not, just change it in settings.

Easier way to roow and install CWM for LG 2X

Hi guys
I recently brought a 2nd hand LG 2X.
This rom is totally stock, to be precise, it is a Hong Kong version v10d
Since I want to improve the battery life and have a more defined rom.
I would like to root and install CWM for my LG 2X.
Up to now, I have downloaded a few kdz from the subforum.
I have little experience before with LG phone, Last one i played around was LG P500. I remember last time i could easily root the phone by super1click, and then install rom manager from play store.
And from there (play store) i install CWM recovery.
I would like to find the confirmation from you guys that
Can i go for the same path again, super1click>rom manager>CWM recovery??
Thx in advance!!

Yes, that's the correct sequence. And I'd recommend Rusty's excellent page here to get the latest CWM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098745
But before you start, please make sure you have the right model of O2X. Make sure you have p990 and NOT p999 nor su660 to use the cwm linked above.
I got a semi-brick that way, solved it nvflashing CWM, my luck perhaps
thx both of you guys!
japmsn: can you be a bit more specific, how you bricked your phone last time?
So i can learn from your experience
Thx

Yes the good thing is - if you don't brick the hardware this phone is unbrickable because you can always revert everything back with NVFlash. Nothing to worry about.

I rooted and then installed rom manager, from it I installed CWM and then chose reboot to recovery and got stuck at LG logo. Then in order to revive it I used smartflash but couldn't connect so in the end used a thread here at xda called "last chance to recover" or something like that which was basically a .bat file I had to double click in order for it to flash CWM using nvflash.
It's not to scare you, quite the opposite, if something goes wrong it seems there's always hope like people have already suggested here.
greets
First: root with "unlockroot".
Second: flash a recovery console via PC.

This says unbricking? sorry i am noob..
but asume this is some sort of unroot, i can do al the steps in the treadh
with my custom ROM and it will come out like a LG phone, i can send to LG
to repear it?
That method will completely reset your phone. It means it will unroot your phone. Just follow the step and then after that you can send it into service centre. You can also use that method if you experience bootloop or if you brick your OB.

The LG smartflash tool will return your phone to the state that it came from the factory. It erases all memory, boot, recovery (where root is) sectors and the rom that was currently installed.
Then it installs the official LG boot, recovery and system sectors, leaving little trace of any software modifications.
If you have the original SD card in ur phone, I would either take it out or format it, before sending it for repair, just to make sure they have no excuse to void your warranty.

Seems like it automatically starts install some rom images.
Try to delete all the rom image or backups (backup your SD first) that you have in your sd.
But first of all try to use QuickBoot app instead the RomManager app.
It's free and you find it in Play store.
Bye

..first check if you have the stock recovery yet like Xonar says..
..second, try to download again the recovery from RomManager's menu (don't know if ics OB is supported) and retry..
If nothing happens..maybe it's better if you flash the stock V20x with the CWM already injected and then install the flashable V30B that you can easily find in the developement section.

You’re welcome
You don’t have to search for stock recovery(probably you never find it )..I think Xonar want to know if you had already installed the Clockworkmod or not..because some time ago there where some problems to inject the CWM in the stock V30B rom.
(if you installed the V30B rom with smartflashtool you surely do not have the recovery and you must pass throught the V20x)
I wish had posted the link of the resources you need but I can’t ‘cause I am a new user too
If wrong something I hope that Xonar can correct me..
Good luck :fingers-crossed:

The only stock rom that I could download is the v10a. can I install CM10 from there?
Right, but you must be sure that it has the CWM injected..or you are again at the start point
So when you are in recovery after had flashed v10 with smartflashtool..flash the .zip of V30B...

No service after the official update

Hello!
After the official update to V20A from V10H, I can no longer connect to my operator in sweden.
My baseband version show "Unknown", so I have tried re-updating the phone through LG Support Tool, and doing a factory reset with no success.
Is there anyone else experiencing this problem?
It's not a faulty sim card. And this seems to be a common problem occurring on several LG devices.
(Also, the LG Support Tool is still showing my version as V10H)

Yeah, I had a similar problem with my Galaxy Gio, also with a Tele2Comviq sim card (Not the one I'm using now though).
So if someone with Tele2Comviq could confirm that their phone is working fine with this update, that would be great!

Oh well, could be worse! For now I'll have to stay with V10H, and hope for the best!
At least JB is out and hopefully the sources will be out soon.
