hey guys,
after 3hrs trying to figure out,how i can root a Wildfire from my friend i wrote this tutorial for you.
I am not responsible for any bricks or damages !!
1. you should make sure you have Bootloaderversion 1.01.0001
2. After this make sure you have uninstalled your HTC Sync and restarted you PC
3. Then go to http://alpharev.nl/x/beta/ and download your desired version of alpharev (linux or Windows-->i used Windows 64bit)
4. after that you connect your phone on usb,but select "Charging-only"-Mode!
5. Finally Run alpharev.exe as admin and follow the instructions....
6. Now you should have S-OFF and can install superuser :

Okay, it took me some trying and stuff but I finaly found a way!
Okay, this is going to be simple step-by-step
FirsT: Copy this to the root of your SD card: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=548407&d=1300751790
Second: Go into HBOOT and click yes when it asks you to update (note: Please make sure your SD card is FAT32 and not FAT, it must be FAT32 for this step to work.
Third: Remove the img file from your sd card and add this file: http://bit.ly/su2361ef
Fourth: Go into HBOOT and click Recovery!
Fifth: Click install zip from sdcard (or some thing like that)
Sixth: Click choose zip from sdcard
Seventh Locate your zip and let it update
AND YOU'RE DONE!
Have fun being free!
If you're having problems with the HBOOT not detecting the .zip update, please check if you SD card is FAT32.

I get to the bit where you click 'recovery' in the hboot menu. It takes me to ClockworkMod Recovery but when I choose any option the screen goes blank apart from the clockwork symbol...I know it's not supposed to do this as have it on my other phones..help, please?

Looks the same as the one in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1033922
But the release number is different... And dont know why hawky gets this one (ara version while in NL?) well nothing can happen to you anyhow since you have s-off and can always reflash/return to old rom
I also think it's related to Root, because I also had this update over the air immediately after the Root...

Anybody know what is new or what's in the update?

and also if ur running a custom rom, it will just fk it up
I spent literally 7 hours trying to root my phone. I tried Alpha revX, the new superoneclick and this other method. I cant seem to get it. Maybe because I am just really tired but this is getting really frustrating. I managed to get my phone to S-OFF with Alpha rev but nothing else. Anyone have any successful attemps .. please tell me I am dying over here

AlphaRevX only gives you S-OFF and I believe can now install ClockworkMod. To actually root your existing ROM, use need to flash rmk-superuser-v1.0.0.zip using ClockworkMod.
Ok so not to sound stupid but what do they mean by flash it to your phnne?

In this particular case, Flash = Use ClockworkMod to install a zip file that you have copied to your SD card.
So the order here is install clockwork mode first in order to root.my phone ?

Sorry, I thought the current version of the AlphaRevX software allowed you to install ClockworkMod, too. If you didn't install ClockworkMod during the AlphaRevX S-OFF process, then yes you need to install ClockworkMod Recovery in order to install the rmk-superuser zip file.

I'm not sure it will let you get that far. AlphaRevX will detect that you are already S-OFF and exit the program from what I understand.

Hey y'all. So, I accidently deleted everything on my internal storage when I was messing around on TWRP. I've downloaded ADB and the RUU. 1.29 file to return to stock, however it doesn't work because I need 1.31. I know I need to turn S-OFF, but I have no idea how to go about this considering every time I mount my phone, my computer doesn't recognize it. So I was wondering, what should I do to fix my problem? If it helps I'm running windows 7 on my Mac using VMWare Fusion.
Anyone? lol

You need stock? Or just to get back up and running?
To get up and running.....
First download a Rom and recovery (TWRP)
From adb type fastboot flash recovery recoverynamehere.img
Boot into recovery
In TWRP go to Advanced > ADB Sideload
abd sideload romnamehere.zip
To get back to stock....
Here is a guide to RUU on 1.31 if that's what you want to do.

I don't think linking this thread is a very good idea this is for the GSM HTC One and someone could very easily mess up their CDMA HTC One if they flash just about anything on that post.

Go with what Konfuzuin is saying, it will work. If you need step by step help I have done this on my mac and can get you where you need to be with out using Windows. Even if you get TWRP and a rom installed there is a very good chance you will be stuck in a bootloop. No roms will work so use the link Konfuzion provided to get the RUU to work.

There's a chance he might've wiped off the recovery partition if he used a disk.
To OP, borrow a friend's PC and burn the ISO onto a disk/bootable USB drive. There's no other way of doing it.
