Or does anyone know how to convert a flashable theme to an apk? I found one but I saw some files in it like boot animation, ringtones, themed apps, and themed keyboard. I know I delete the boot animation because cm7 themes don't have boot animations, right?

I installed Minimalistic spiral theme by upwardspiral. minimalbread said it was compiled incorrectly. btw, it looks okay. Wish it was better than this though.
GingerBreads have no souls.....But, Windows Phone 7 gives it one. I ‹3 Launcher7

I would be interested to know if there is a quick way to port a theme, based on say a Nexus, to the Hero. If so I could give this a bash. I've previously tried to do this for another theme and have had to mostly resize the images one by one.
I think the theme in the link is for nexus, I would try but I don't know anything about making themes =P

Yeah the images need to be scaled down to mdpi. I am just working on another theme at the mo, but have finally figured out how to edit the .9.png's so once i'm done with that I'm gonna see if i can port this over

If you haven't already you might want to check out the 'Gala S' theme for ADW Launcher. Currently for our mdpi devices its not as complete, but in time hopefully will be all there It's worth a look.

started this ages ago but couldn't be bothered to finish it, so started again,
this is just the icons and the fonts in the link below if you use desktop visualizer to add them and make sure you use five rows, ..... this means anyone can use these png well if you have adw or launcher pro .....
will add more and make into a update.zip with added extras, like themed dailer and menus and launcher bar etc but just incase you don't want that.

Would absolutely love this, I'm running the O.G. Motorola Droid.
Retro theme from 1.6 Donut. I mean classic with the clock, the silver notification bar, green lay down battery, app drawer and icons.
I would pay for an absolute classic theme. This theme would need to theme over 2.2.1 and 2.3.3. I just think it would be neat to have a classic theme on the latest build of android.

The theme used in those screen shots was what AOSP looked like until Gingerbread, not really classic.

Is it possible for an update in the future to see if you can change the signal bar to the one in Steel Blue where its wavy, and possibly the rotary lockscreen.
Love it! Only issue I've seen so far is the swype keyboard does not stay open and everytime I go to touch it, it disappears. Anyone else have this problem too? It is themed very cool too by the way.

Force closed just about everything and would not even let me select a home launcher. Kind of a bummer. Really liked the screen shots. Any way of getting the boot and shutdown animations only? Those were pretty sick

You are mis informed. The same apks used in a journaling rom are used in a journaling off rom. Journaling has to do with the file system and not the apps that are being themed.
sfr and bonsia have cuq removed. What about the viper rom? That is the issue your most likely having with themes

Looking at the viper rom thread I noticed a couple things wrong and why themes ain't working for you. The viper rom is based on eb13 and everyone else is on ec05.
The boots ron uses the old method of removing carrier iq witch caused certain apps to be resigned. with these apps resigned the signatures are different when they should match. The way of removing carrier iq eliminates this problem by leaving the signatures the same.
Again this has nothing to do with journaling

So then theoretically if I were running midNIGHT EC05 I should have no issues? Think it's possible to flash the bootanimation only from this themes zip and have it work?

I dont know about the rotary lock screen. I personaly use the pattern lockscreen, but i plan on making one with a aosp lockscreen. The signal bar i didnt personaly like cause it only has 4 bars so vs the 6 bars so its not as accurate of display. I can do it if its requested enough or look at dreamsforgottens tutorial on and you can figure it out pretty easy. pm me if you want help

Im on an EB13 ROM so this theme wont work for me but it is possiblt to drop the bootanimation.zip into the system folder and have the boot animation from this theme work? Or can I flash it?

You need to be on a ec05 rom that uses the new method of carrier iq to use any of the themes.

Just use the themechooser version ..
The theme chooser version is all well and good. The only problem is theme chooser cannot skin everything like the stand alone version of Matted Blues.
the newest version on the market themes almost everything .. for the rest there is a metamorph for mattedblues
I like mattedblues because of the fonts.. but the one on the market can't seem to change the fonts..so refunded it. Does that mean I have to wait for the standalone mattedblues for 7.1RC1 here?

Anyone know of a way to make the notification bar semi-transparent?
I've been trying to edit the files in SystemUI.apk but the theme seems to be overriding it somehow (it sort of works if I change back to System theme).
