You can't nandroid like that. Depending on what you want to backup, contacts and what applications you installed can be backed up to your Google account, and stuff like application data you can use titanium backup.
Mybackup * Root
Try this if you have root access. Very easy to use. Will backup apps and data (sms/call log/music play lists, ect). Just need to swap SDcards to restore.

Alright so I've been running Froyo off of SD (version 6.7) and I'm looking to upgrade to 6.8 and at the same time install it to internal memory. My question is what's the best way of going about saving all my files (Saved games in emulators and such) and then restoring them? Does Titanium backup do that or does that just restore the basics and not saves and actual data within the app? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Titanium has multiple options. Just back apps with data and then you can decide how you want to restore them. At restore time, you can choose to just restore app or app and data.
So, what is the best way you have found to backup all apps + userdata on your One? Say i wanted to switch ROM's
If it were on the cloud it would be a plus. Ideas?
I've always used Titanium but I just switched to Carbon. It backs everything up to any one of your cloud storage accounts. I think Titanium does this now too, but I just found Carbon easier to use transferring everything into my One.
Titanium was a pain for me to get setup properly but now I have it do dropbox nightlys of just changed data and a full backup weekly to google drive.
When you restore carbon do you have to do it one by one

I always have been a Samsung guy, so the nexus line is new to me.
Now I'm waiting for my verizon nexus 6 unit to arrive..
Question : with no memory card slot, what's the best way to bring my titanium backup apps on to the nexus for restore?
Is the only way by manually copying and pasting the files /folders?
Yes. Same as every other device
Yes that's what I did with my s3. The difference is when it goes to restore it'll be 2-5 times faster than it used to be with your old phone. This thing is a rocket.
In theory you could back up to Dropbox then start your phone download the Dropbox app download titanium backup then restore. Easier just to hook up a USB cable.
You can download titanium backup right from their website here: http://matrixrewriter.com/android/files/TitaniumBackup_latest.apk

Hey Guys - I have a rooted nexus 6 (through Wugfresh) and a paid version of Titanium Backup. My headphone jack broke so Motorola is sending me a replacement phone. What is the best / easiest way to backup this phone and restore it on the new one? I bought the paid version of Titanium Backup in hope to do a cloud backup, but every time I get to about 2% backed up to Box is stops and gives me a server issue I appreciate your help!
Take a titanium backup locally and also a recovery backup (nandroid) then copy your entire SD card to your computer. When you get the new device, unlock it, decrypt it if thats what you want, copy it to sdcard. The Nandroid restore would be more complete and quicker than titanium, but keep that for a safety net.
Thanks! How do I move my Titanium Backup to my computer?
Copy your entire sdcard contents to your computer. This will include the backups.
