I just loaded up RealGinger gingerbread Rom on my i9000. Since loading, I have 2 problems:
1. The horizontal calibration seems to be off by 90 degrees. When held vertically, it goes into landscape and vice versa. I have tried running the horizontal calibration tool to no avail.
2. The touch sensitive buttons are not working properly. Specifically, the search and back button do nothing and the home button acts as the 'back' button. Is it possible to edit the functions of these keys?
Thanks.

hi all
i just noticed on my tilt that all the keys light up except for the navigation keys..
is this normal or do I need to get my fone exchanged?
When you recover from a suspend/sleep only the screen lights.
If you tap on the screen only the screen will light.
If you slide out the keyboard only the screen and keyboard will light. The keyboard lights will timeout before the screen.
If you press the dpad, any of the front buttons, or any of the side buttons, (except power) they should all light up but will time out before the screen does.
Actually i was talking more about when you hit one of those green/red/ok/msg/windows/navigation buttons..
does the 5 way navigation also light up(Like the edges)..
No, 5 way dpad itself is solid and does not glow even around the edge.
[What I have called 'buttons' here are, I now know, called 'keys' in the manual.]
I have several broken a855 droids. On one of them, the touch screen works, as do three of the four buttons with white symbols on the black strip next to it. Unfortunately, the Back button (circular arrow) doesn't! It doesn't vibrate when pressed and doesn't do anything to the display, so I have to use the Home button and navigate down the virtual tree I was in in order to go one level back up.
My questions are:
Is the non-response of the Back button due to a defect in the digitizer, or are there separate sensors, not part of the main digitizer, for those four white buttons?
Is there a way to use the keyboard to duplicate the function of the Back button, with or without modification to some file or other?
had the same problem...
there is no such thing like "main" digitizer, the 4 "buttons" are is the same like the rest.
try this app to see where your digitizer stops working https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.batterypoweredgames.mtvistest
try buttonremapper http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=850464 i however had no success with the a853
Okay, The problem I'm experiencing is after water damage. The tablet shows in portrait but the touch control is reading it as landscape vise versa when you flip the orientation to land scape the controls are then in portrait. Not sure if there is really anything that can be done as it is almost impossible to control the device. None of the home button back button or menu work either. Any ideas or advice are welcome.
Hello all!
I'm having a strange problem with my Redmi 2 (aka Wingtech WT88047). My bottom buttons stopped working a couple weeks ago. As my phone was rooted, I decided to activate the software keys adding qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 to build.prop and commenting out hard buttons actions, since I prefer them anyway.
After a while, they became unresponsive too. They work again once in a while, but most of the time they don't.
Okay, so what's strange about that? The strange part is that the button bar area IS working while in lock screen and when using fullscreen apps. I even wrote a simple app to test touch points and the entire touch screen area is fine. While in fullscreen mode, I can even swipe the bottom border to bring up buttons or swipe the navbar to activate one handed mode, but the buttons still don't work.
They work fine while on landscape as long as the buttons are located on what would be the top area in portrait mode.
After that, I tried going back to hardware buttons, only to find out with further investigation that they also work only now and then, but not most of the time (like the soft keys).
I rebooted, soft rebooted, removed battery, sim and sd cards, reseted, tried different roms and all to no avail.
I'm currently using LineageOS if it helps.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
Hi
I am facing this issue recently and it seems like a bug rather than a hardware problem to me.
I own OP3T for about 6 months and never had any issues. From the very first time i set it up, i chose the option to have On Screen Navigation Buttons Enabled (mainly because of the very short backlight time of the capacitive buttons)
Recently i decided to try again capacitive buttons option because in some applications OnScreen Navigations buttons are not working flawlessly (eg Camera). After enabling Capacitive buttons the screen area where the Navigation Buttons would appear is non responsive. I tried reboot , wipe cache , but it doesn't solve the problem unless i re-enable On Screen Navigation and everything works again.
I am on a non rooted phone with latest OO 4.1.6
Thanks
