Hi,
I have HTC HD7 Windows mobile. I am not able to find Call waiting facility on the HTC HD7 phone. Can anyone let me know whether this facility is there on this phone and how to activate this.

Dead Diamond users and non Diamond users, can you please help me.
I, and I think not only me, have the following problem:
My phone will not inform me, if I'm on the others people waiting line, example:
I'm (A) calling my friend (B) whois speaking with a (C), and I'm on the (B's) waiting line, but I have not idia about it, cause my Diamond won't inform me about it in any way, but my Nokia or Samsung (with the same operator and the same Simcard) will inform me on the display, that "Call Waiting"
Any one knows a good solution to this? Maybe "CAB" or Reestor tweak?
(I've got this very good explanation of my problem from some one else post)
In my case, when i call someone that is on a call with call waiting activated on my HTC Diamond doesn't "say" anything. On my old Nokia it "says" Waiting.
Another think i noticed is when i receive a diverted call on the old phone says "diverted call" and then put a simbol before the number. On my new phone no information about it is displayed.
Can anyone know if there is any app that can make the phone "smarter" in this case?

If any solution can be found, I'll donate with pleasure
Thanks a lot!
i think this is a problem with all Windows Mobile phones. as even my old i-Mate K-JAM (Wizard) was not able to do these things.
i agree its annoying, but i guess you learn to live without it eventually.
Yes, you right! I'll live without it, but maybe it is possible to edit something in a low level (like AT modem programming, or smothing like this, knew this stuff from iPhone at command),
Maybe some one can do this?
Thanks!
if someone ever figures this one out, i would happily pay for it.
its one of those things that always bothered me about Windows Mobile phones, and i never found a solution for.
So, If some one can do thin work, WE (now ME & pult) start donation
Help us and help the world please

I agree with all of you,
"Waiting ..." and "Diverted call" are two messages I miss a lot after I moved to Windows Mobile phones ....
Time to time I'm searching for a solution, but nothing ...
I tryed to get solutions from Microsoft ... no answer.
Any news ?
HTC TouchFlo could manage it ?
Regards.
Can anybody tell me if there is a way to see if the person i call is an another call (call waiting). I read on xda that is a windows mobile 6.1 (which i use) problem, doest it exists a hot fix. I am a vodafone user.
10x in advance
I would like to know that too...
bump.. any solutions ?
Hi,
My HTC HD7 is having a bit of a problem. The caller id does not funtion properly all my contacts have the area code prefix for all the numbers. When I receive a call the caller name is not shown only the number is shown. But if I remove the area code the caller name is shown. But then all the sms (text messages) I receive shows only the Sender's number and not the name. Please let me know if there is a fix for this.
Thx
Well known problem and still without solution.
Probably we'll need someone to hack the registry and we can find the key where the caller ID match the number.
Mine also has the same problem.
same here
Mine is having the same problem... is an HTC issue... I searched everywhere and there's no solution yet available... Can't believe HTC made this error....
Hi,
Any news about fix the caller ID problem on Mango Update ?
mango 7712 still has that problem
Having updated my phone to mango 7712, I´m still having this problem. I wouldn´t say is and HTC problem but a windows Phone 7 bug. It´s hard to believe they did nothing about it.
Turn off international assist under phone settings and your problems will disappear. Once off, power cycle your phone

I have the same problem and turning off international assist won't do anything to help. I've reported this twice to HTC and once to @winphonesupport on twitter (lots of back and forth and made them understand that many people are having this problem and they said they were aware that other people are having this issue and that they will let the right people on the WP team know).. Yeah so hopefully this gets fixed with mango, but im not too optimistic about that.
Have you tried? I had that problem as it adds characters in the numbers, then it does not recognize from the list of contacts. It worked for me, all works now....

I have! i wish it did work! you're in australia which is probably why it works. An htc rep actually called me (i was really surprised) but i was running late for a dinner so i barely heard what he had to say. he was like yeah we have that problem with some countries like lebanon(mine) and iceland and htc is working on it for future phones but not this one or something like that. i was late and couldn't talk so i said ok thanks and hung up.
Hello!
I recently purchased an HTC HD7 (T-Mobile version) and my goal is to make it completely free using Wi-Fi only. Google Voice offers free text messaging, and I can receive voicemail in written form in my email. But I would like to be able to make or receive calls while on Wi-Fi.
The Google Voice apps do nothing to achieve this goal because it still requires the app to call my number to route the call (unfortunately there is not any service with free incoming calls in the USA that I know of), and ultimately I still have to pay for my minutes.
I downloaded an app called MobileVOIP in the Windows Marketplace but I just don't understand it honestly. I signed up for it, but then it had me sign up for one of a few dozen other services? I don't know which one to choose, I just chose one..it says its free calls to the USA..but I have to pay to make a call to the USA? It makes no sense to me...
TL;DR - How do I make my HTCHD7 make a voice call over Wi-Fi without ANY T-Mobile Sim Card inserted. What is the cheapest way to do this?
Quick side note - If anyone knows of a GSM based service which offers free incoming calls that could work on a T-Mobile HTCHD7, that is really cheap (like 10 bucks a month?) That would be cool too!
Which OS version you have?
If you have unlocked Mango, you could download Tango here. You can also make Videocalls with it (1st generation devices doesn't have front-facing camera but you can use the primary one if someone wants to see you haha) and also download the app for PC or Netbook.
I have 7.5, I did all the updates last night.
But okay, so to clarify, outside of unlocking it. To use Tango I literally do the following...
1. Turn on phone.
2. There is no sim card of any kind in the phone
3. I connect to wi-fi
4. I open tango app (and may or may not pay a fee, not to worried, because im sure it is cheap)
5. I dial a number
6. It rings, and they answer and we all have a happy time.
If that is literally what it does, than yes I want to do that!! Thanks for the info. Any links you can quickly direct me to in order to unlock the HD7 easy?
Oh, Tango is a really good app, but the person you are talking to has to have the Tango app too (It's multiplatform, you can have it in PC aswell).
I'm afraid if you are in Mango and don't have phone unlocked, you can't do it (ChevronLabs is making the unlock tool for Mango, only available now for Pre-NoDo). So you can flash some pre-unlocked Mango ROM (as I did) or return to Pre-NoDo, unlock and update to Mango again..
If you don't know how to flash a ROM, search in the forum (I have to go in a second) and you will find a lot of guides..
I use voxofon from marketplace don't know if I'm talking about VoIP hum :|

Hey guys,
there is (was) a general problem with multi-sim-cards of different provider by using Tablets.
If you have such multi-sim-cards, and you put them in phones, both rings when a call comes in.
but if one of the sim card is inside an android tablet, the device cancels the phonecall, because it can't handle it. The phone with the second card doesn't ring or just shows a missed call. The caller just gets a busy line.
Apple, Samsung and HTC already fixed this problem on their devices. But I don't think Dell would do that on the Streak devices.
Is there any patch that I can apply on my device to solve this problem?
I couldn't find any resolutions on this yet.
thanks in advance
