I've been searching around and have only found one guide on creating a custom icon metamorph theme, it doesn't seem too bad. Thy only problem is it only said you can only morph app icons in system/app so since those are only rom apps, is there a way to change the icons on downloaded apps? I'm not sure where they are located but can you just move the apk and odex files for the downloaded apps to system/app and be able to morph them?
I'm using the MIUI rom but hate the way it puts the purple rounded box around icons, I'd like to be able to change the icon to a larger size that fills up the entire box.
Thanks in advance for any help or guidance

Thanks for linking us to the pack - now we can all use it
P.S., There should be a new rule in xda. If you post an awesome homescreen or say you found an enormous theme pack, you must link to the wallpaper, theme and all widgets - otherwise you are just teasing us.
Just wondering is it possible to use custom notification bars, dialers, and keyboard themes without flashing a new rom? I found some notification bars and dialers Id like to use from the Magnolia rom yet keep my HTC Sense. I dont use any launchers or anything. I prefer HTC Sense over the others.
I am rooted and I do run the HeyItsLou Kernel v8
You can use metamorph or ninjamorph, free from the market, to apply the images.
Or you can create an update zip containing the apk's and flash them in recovery.
I tried Metamorph, but nothing happened.
If you are running a deodexed 2.2 or 2.3 ROM you can use the Kitchen.

Im running the stock HTC rom with the HeyItsLou v8 Kernel.

Somewhere in there I found some cool skins for HTC SENSE. This will only change a few things though. Not dialer and keyboards.
But themed Keys are easy to find. I'm sure you know all this, but I'm just trying to participate.

I already found the themes I like I just cant get them to install.
Forgot to say that no ROOT is required

Do you have HTC HUB? And is it HTC SENSE 2.0?
I haven't had any problems installing them, but I'll try to help as much a possible.
Install just like a normal THIRD PARTY .APK

Not familiar with HTC Hub. Not even sure what version of HTC Sense I have. I dont know how to check for versions.
Me either (dont know how to check sense version.)
But there are some signs. When you press personalize, does a path drawer come up and have Skins, Wallpaper, Scenes, Widgets, Apps, Shortcuts, Folders, etc..?
If it just has the last four mentioned when you tap and hold your home screen, then you don't have HTC SENSE 2.0
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
When I hit personalize I get scenes, home wallpaper, and default ring tone. Im almost positive I have Sense v1.
So how can I get these things to work with Metamorph? I have all the files downloaded and ready to go.
I'm not sure, because I never needed or wanted to use MetaMORPH.
Can you post a screenie of your Home and Personalize menu?
And what phone do you have? I'm sure you just unpack the zip in MetaMORPH.
I don't know much about it.

I have the HTC Incredible through Verizon.
Okay. So now we know your stock ROM was Sense 1.0, what Sense Rom do you have now?
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
Oh, and a really nice ROM for DInc w/ Sense 2.0 is Myns Warm Z twopointtwo. You can change the skins to the ones you have downloaded.
By far my Favorite ROM for DInc when I had mine two days ago. Lol.

The stock HTC sense rom. I havent flashed any custom roms. I like the default one from HTC. I just want to change some minor things. I have a dialer picked out. I want to get rid of the verizon branding in my notification bar, and I want to change the battery icon and thats it.
Okay then you have to use metamorph. I'm pretty sure there's a tutorial somewhere around here. On the Myns Warm thread, there's a video tutorial on using MetaMORPH to change keyboards. I'm positive it works the same for battery and dialer.

After some researching I think my issue is with the amount of space in the /system folder. Only issue is I cant see that folder with Adao File Manager.

Root Explorer is the best in my opinion. I can view everything.

Hi,
how do I change the icons in the menu? I want to put your icons there
thanks
I think it's at a folder called framework or something and then res/hdpi... You should use Root Explorer to do that because you need to access the internal memory of your device.
But I'm not sure, I'm not a themer. There are some tutorials here at XDA where you can find more information about that, with a lot of details. Some people have already made a few good jobs to teach us. I haven't tried those out yet due to my short free time but I'm sure that with a little search around the forums you can get all the infos you need to theme.
Good luck!

Have you tried a different launcher like ADW Launcher or Launcher Pro? They are customizable, there are themed supported. Take a look into that.
Any suggestions? I'm currently using MEIZU and it's pretty awesome, but are there any other themes that work with transparency like this one does?
Sent from my LG-VM670 using xda premium
off the top of my head a few are:
MIUI by same author as MEIZU theme
EasyDay
LunarUi
Orion
Moto
Evoluer
Naked Simplicity
i think you should be able to find them by searching "transparent status bar" in the search form (or something similar to that)
Also your gonna need ZduneX25 pacther to get it transparent.

No sir, Zdune made it so we could tweak our statusbars to make become transparent for specific themes, like themes posted graphic. But using the patcher can also be used for centering clock and such.
Some of the themes have transparent settings, contacts, dialer, mms, etc..
Wanting to have an app transparent, you'll probly have to do manually. Unless someone has already created an app that you want, that's been transparent.

I'm willing to try anything at this point to learn how to make the apps transparent at this point, it'd be pretty cool to start working on themes

Yes, I know it'll be cool. There's some guides floating around this theme section on how to create themes for theme Chooser and for MIUI Theme Manager.
I would post a linking to those threads, but I'm not currently at my computer. Sorry about that.
But good luck on learning how to create themes, I wouldn't mind testing a few themes from you when you start building some.

Ahh thanks for that small list I never seen some of them.
Hello guys,
This thread, is intended for you to meet the members of team ReVoluTioN, and perhaps ask questions, requests and all that stuff contained inside one thread. This will show more support from you guys, who would like certain things included inside the Rom, so instead of sending PM's to one of us, to get more noticed post the request and why you think it is a good idea, and i will noticed by more people, hence more of a chance it will be implemented.
Team ReVoluTioN is a group of people, consisting of themers, modders, testers, and developers. Currently we are a small team, but are aiming high and our expectations of the ReVoluTioN Rom Series are also very high. Our main goal is to make a Rom which is both unique and a fast, nice system to work with. Now I'm guessing you want to know who is in this team?
The current people in the ReVoluTioN Team are:
Russell664
Neoyoli
Barbrick
Airhn
Whoamigriffiths
Brnt
Nikhil16242
Mazer.one
So now you know who is involved in the ReVoluTioN Rom project, I bet your asking yourself, who does what then? Well hang on my friend you will know soon enough.
Developers
The people here, listed below, try new things out and try to tweak, and make the system as awesome as it can be. These are the main guys who push the development forwards, and implement new mods among other things into the Rom. So If you appreciate their time and effort, smash the thanks button for them.
Russell664
Nikhil16242
Testers
The guys listed below, test every aspect of the system, and provide bug reports and force closes etc... It takes a great deal of time, to test the system, so don't for get to hit the thanks button for these guys too.
Neoyoli
Barbrick
Airhn
Whoamigriffiths
Brnt
Themers
A special hand out to these guys, they have made the ReVoluTioN Rom look awesome. The time and effort from these people below is amazing, so don't forget to hit thanks for them too.
Mazer.one
Brnt
Modders
We mod existing apps, and make sure they work correctly with the system, if we are satisfied with the results, you guys will have the updates. These people beow work hard to provide you with modded app, which are both useful and stable.
Airhn
Brnt
Russell664
Server Hosting space
The can be expensive, but our friend Barbrick is giving us unlimited space to store all our releases of our Rom, and a very fast server. Without this, you guys would not be able to download any Revolution Rom, so hit a special thanks for him!
Barbrick
Donators hall of fame!
mblex
penguin449
Now as you can see we al have our own roles, some of us do multiple things to keep the development of this Rom going, we all work very hard to make sure all releases are both fast and stable. If you want to thank us, smash the thanks button right in the face, when ever one of us post, to show to appreciate the time and effort we put in, to bring you one of the most themed and fast Roms available for the desire C.
Rules and stuff about the team and new releases upcoming...
I have a request. Aimed at brnt, could you get this mod to work with your status/notification bar? ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2139048 )

Well, yeah I can, but I'll have to use einstein's SystemUI as a new base and I'll probably have to adapt files from the old one and do some things all over again. I'll ask Einstein for permission to use his work as a base.

my request:
1)is there any dev that we have theme chooser engine and using CM9/CM10 themes?would be great if it is possible.
2)Full ICS caller ID.
tnx
Keep up the great work!
Would it be possible to implement something like https://lh3.ggpht.com/Dy8XcbRSBBXeB5lFSZLCOaZjpz3OaC-ZZBRVJzK_ob_Iberu_65Hl2O8K6XW8bm6uJs this into a revolution rom?

I removed quick settings today and installed this under the stock SystemUI.apk, it is much more elegant and the transition is supersmooth without the clutter.
Although it is not a perfect solution since below JB it is not possible to disable the status bar icon of Notification Toggle, only make it invisible as you can see on the 2nd screenshot (a gap from the left), but still it is more slick then it was. You can even download Sense icon pack within the app - which I guess could be used to change the icons on this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2139048
For sensed Revolution, it would be nice to see both versions in Aroma

The solution is intall that as on the SystemUi.apk, on the native files with XML(or other, i donĀ“t know that)
You can see the code from a Touchwith ROM or a LG UI3.0 Rom(LG OPtimus L5 for example)
Do you mean the gap on the top left in the status bar can be eliminated or something else, I didn't get it sorry.

Jaizu,
it isn't that easy to add extra code to a app, there is more than just dragging and dropping mate. If it was that easy, we would have alot more in revolution than what we currently have. I am having problems de-compiling apks, and also compiling them in linux, if any one has a solution for this please tell me.
I have had to compile some apps in a VM with windows XP, for now but I would rather not do that lol.
I understand having requests, but you have to remember we can't work all the time on the Rom, due to other things needing to go on.
What issues are you running into (what errors) and is this on MINT?
Sent from my HTC Desire C using xda premium
I have a GUI for my adb interface, however I can't decompile HTC stuff properly on MINT I can't work out why. I can build my ROMs in Linux, which is very fast. I am using XP in a virtual machine but would like a solution for my decompile issues and re compile ones too, I have all the CM source and HTC kernel source which I might try a new kernel out on, but I can't think of how I can get apktool to work. The APIs decompile and compile again on XP with no issues but not on Linux? I have all the dependies installed including all the updates, java is also there three versions one for the kitchen, one for mine craft it runs better, and the other is recommended for android app development. Now I have tried apktool 1.5.2 and that also fails, any ideas guys I can use the VM of XP for a while but it is a hassle really because it us so much easier doing it all in one place. So any suggestions guys? I might work it out, its really annoying though lol
Sent from my HTC Desire C using xda premium
The errors relate to back smali files and the resource files when compiling, decompile works sometimes but not all the time. If I due compile the apk then compile the same thing on mint it will fail no matter what, whereas on XP it never does.
Sent from my HTC Desire C using xda premium
I'll see if I can recreate the problem a little later tonight, and if I can I'll see what we can do to get it working for you.
