Has anyone been able to get working long press the green button on handsfree to access the voice dialing?
FW I9003XXKB3
I'm desperate with this issue.
On my old Nokia 5800 worked perfect.
Thanks.
Does anyone use voice dialing over bluetooth?
I've been reading a lot on the forum and elsewhere on the web and seems to be a problem in many Samsung devices or ROMs.
On many i9000 custom ROMS voice dialing over bluetooth works flawlessly.
I think it's a very important question, I hope some developer can help us with this issue.
Sorry for my poor english.
Thanks!
I do not know why this thread was moved here. My question refers to Samsung i9003 Galaxy S SCL.

:? Hi guys Just wondered if any of you guys are experienced problems with the Jabra bt800 working intermittently. Sometimes it works but most of the time it does'nt . I've upgraded to Broadcom 3900 and although blue tooth audio still crackles its not as bad.. The headset works alot better with my SPV C500.. Any ideas or experiences :?:

hi i have xda2s with bt 800 working somtimes
i upgradeed to bt3900 but i see no change
somtime i takes 5-6 kye presss to unswerr a phone call
i do not have any audio problem the audio is ok
glad to know i am not the only one.. cheers for replying
did you try to contact jabra support???
I have a contact in GN Netcom so will have a chat with him next week and post the response here
thenks
:? Ok after talking to my contact in GN Netcom we have come to the conclusion (seings as it works fine with my Motorolla V3 and Nokia 6810 and 6820 and Siemens SK65) that the issue lies with the Bluetooth stack on my 2s.I did explain about this that i had upgraded it to the newer version and i personally believe they have not totally replicated the way the Bluetooth in the xda2s behaves the same as a normal bluetooth enabled phones.
I believe that because it works fine on most of the Manufacturers phones and the XDA's of this world are low priority to get it right.. I still believe it will be fixed in future Bluetooth upgrades on the xda2s.. doh still think that even though the display and buttons work intermittently it is still worth having for the DSP
The problem still exists!
I have Qrek 9090 and Jabra t800. Audio is very good and also on the good range.
BUT...
Main problem (even with Jabra 800 fix CAB file) is that I can't normaly answer the phone call. It takes about 5 or 6 times before I can reply the call. And also, it takes about 2 seconds before I can hear other side opponent.
I just wonder if you people have some kind of this problem. Any expirince. Could you please share with me some information.
I use Danghard rom 1.44 wit BT 3900.
Thanks a lot.
Leonid.

Hi..use search,,,still this is how to do a voice dialling:
1) Install MS Voice command and assign a Hardware button(any) to activate the software so that it an listen to our commands.
2) Now, just press the "Call answer" button of your BT.By doing so it will activate the sound on your 2s.Then press that harware button of Voice command and speak...
It works flawlessly
Thanks
thank s
Ill def try going to Delhi, will return and sure thry Voice dial and re-install my BT stack to see if there is crackling sound still there
also how long can you try to distance your phone from the BT
I got one Jabra bt800
its superb and must say its a best one around with lots of features
Eehheh and you call that voice dialing?
If i had to do all of that to voice dial i could also press the button on the device and talk the name to it. And that would be one click less than with your solution.
I think the idea of voice dial with bluetooth is to keep the phone in your pocket and do the talking via bluetooth only.

Gentlemen,
After a week or so exploring this forum and experimenting with my Logitech bluetooth hands free I've got a feeling that the only possible solution for the moment is to prevent the BA from getting into the sleep mode. Use ScreenLock or Mort Saver instead.

Well, thank you.
But as I understood from different threads in forum this is one way.
But... I'll kill battery of PDA very quickly. Really don't think that it's a good idea.
People from Jabra told me that new firmware will come soon and will help to solve this problem.
So.. I think that it's not the fault of PDA or ROM... :?
Hi All,
So I have a T-Mo Galaxy Tab that I have installed the Euro Roms on (froyo) and am happily making/recieving calls and texts. Been doing this for a few months.
I just got a jawbone icon. I tried to pair them and they paired but the tab thinks it is a stereo head set and will not treat it like a phone.
I did some research and feel this is an issue with the bluetooth profiles. And is a known issue. I searched on this site but found no resolution.
Am I correct in thinking that I will be unable to use my BT jawbone Icon with the GTab, even with a euro rom?
Will flashing it with overcome (moving to gingerbread) help at all?
Thanks for any time and help you provide.
I have done this test myself back when I initially had the tab. The apparently has some issues accepting or working with some bleutooth headsets. It wouldnt even see my brothers jawbone headset. Thru some test, I found it works with some samsung headsets, worth with most binaural headphones. Did a search, its a known problem. I havent tested my brothers jawbone with overcome 2.3 but it was the same with 2.2. So try someone elses and see if it does the same thing. hope this helps
Hi, first of all thank you for the fantastic work of this forum and apologize for my bad English.
Recently, I bought a Galaxy Tab. The wireless model, GT-P1010.
I have a problem with a bluetooth keyboard. The keyboard works perfectly with my HTC HD2 with "Typhoon CM7 ROM" in this forum, but I can not connect to the Galaxy Tab.
Any suggestions? I'm desperate.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.
your model doesn't support the bluetooth human interface device (HID) stack. so it won't connect to mice, or keyboards.
see? http://ars.samsung.com/customer/usa..._ID=0&AT_ID=373931&PROD_SUB_ID=0&PROD_ID=2098
What boodafli said is correct, unfortunately you won't be able to use HID devices with the Galaxy Tab. However, it does support the Serial Port Profile, which means it should work with a bluetooth keyboard that supports SPP, such as the Freedom Pro. Of course, that does have the downside of you having to buy another keyboard :-\
Thank you very much for your answers.
Really appreciate it all the help you can give me. I followed the steps in this manual:
http://i-miss-erin.blogspot.com/2009/09/connect-bluetooth-keyboard-in-android.html
to add the function of HID, but do not get it to work.
Can anyone support me how to do this?
Thanks!
so i find it has a different way of how to work compared to bluetooth keyboard

Problem with a bluetooth keyboard
ı read your problem about bluetooth keyboard with Samsung GALAXY P1010 tab. I have same problem. ı want to ask did you find any slution for solve this problem. ı need to help.
i also wonder about bluetooth keyboard that suit for 4.0 cm9 gt-p1000? is the original samsung can running with it?

i know this is a bit of an old thread but I stumbled on to it while using google. I was having problems pairing bluetooth HID with my p1000.
I wanted to let you know as well as any other googlers that happen upon this thread that to solve the issue I upgraded to ICS CM9 stable.
I was originally using overcome rom 4.1.0 and my understanding is that there was some sort of issue with the overcome kernal and bluetooth hid.
I also learned many carriers disabled bluetooth hid either out of the box or with updates.
So to fix the problem I would suggest upgrading to ICS it has worked beautiful for my needs and fixed the problem I was having.
I have paired a bluetooth keyboard bluetooth mouse and ps3 controller.

Hi,
I have an issue with my HTC One. When i try to use voice recognition via my bluetooth headset plantronic Discovery 975 the phone is stuck on Initializing. I've found thread talking about a similar issue for the razord Max but none for the HTC One.
Do you know if there is a fix or a solution to this issue ?
Thanks !
Nexus 4 has the same problem: stuck on 'initializing' and softly saying 'one moment please' (or the Dutch language equivalents).
On a wired earpiece, it does work.
It just gets stuck at initializing.
I'm reviving this post because after the update of my HTC One to android 4.2.2 I thought the issue would be resolved. But the update didn't solve it.
Has anyone found a solution to this issue ?

Try turning on keypad touch sounds under the sound section in settings. It's a weird bug but that fixes it. Same thing happens on Samsung galaxy

Thanks for the answer. Unfortunately I tried to do it but didn't work . Only solution i found for now is to activate the car mode.
Then the voice recognition works but not with google now.
Any other suggestion ?
Solved!
Still no fix coming from Google, but at least one nice guy made a temp fix while they do it.
Look for "Voice Command" app on Google Play. Developer's name is IT-DEV-CROWD or code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=42178#c37
It worked for me, after trying a lot of different configurations.
The fix works nicely for BT headsets. Any solution for wired headsets? I would like to place a call in the middle of listening to music... Not possible!
Hello, I am unable to make calls with my LG L90 D410 over Bluetooth. When I press the button which is supposed to bring voice dial (I am using Cyberon Voice Commander), nothing happens (tried Supertooth Buddy, Supertooth Crystal and Supertooth HD - none of them worked).
Is there any way, how to make the calls? With my previous phone (Samsung Galaxy S Duos) it was OK.
The only way I found was to remap the re-dial function with Smart Bluetooth Headset, but it does not work quite as needed.
Would changing the Stock ROM to for example Cyanogen help with this matter?
Any help would be really appreciated, I really need to be able to do in-car calling.
Thank you very much in advance.
Can you please help, anyone? I really need the function of voice dialing over BT as I am disabled and use both hands for driving.
Solution
Hi, for someone who would tackle similar problem in the future, I solved the problem by getting different handsfree (bought Parrot Minikit Neo 2 HD) and it works!
