is it just me or is the speaker very low while on a phone call, even at highest setting.
There has been times where I'd get a message while on a call and the alert is REALLY LOUD, just the phone portion is not... I can't figure out a way to make it louder while on a speaker call...
AT&T Samsung Tab
Rooted and Overcome 2.0.1 installed
Working great on AT&T w/data and calls.
When on a call, click the volume all the way up. Then click it down two clicks.
thanks, that worked great. I never thought of that... wonder why it does that...?
Its a bug in all the modem.bin (radio control)

Hi there
I've been having a few problems with TomTom and BTCoreIf.dll.
Since the last install - I had to re-do it because the Alpine reset itself following backup battery failure.
Anyway, since I did that, there is no sound from the earpiece, I can't hear a ringing tone or anything.
The actual phone's sound is OK, the applications are all making the sounds they should, including TomTom.
When I use the Bluespoon headset I have, I can hear a ringing tone through it.
I'm wondering if I have a file missing on it. Plus holding down the green phone key when I try and make a call doesn't bring up the speakerphone utlilty like it used to.
Any and all comments appreciated.
I am having real problems with the incoming call notification. It just seems too quiet. On checking, the sound is coming from the 'ear' speaker (top front) not the real speaker as I would have expected.
Is that right, and does anyone else find it too low?
This is not the in call volume, or media volume, but the notification when a call is coming in.
[Stock ROM, rooted]
OK, tried a reboot on the off-chance, and it fixes the issue. I'll try to see what starts it, as I have an app that adjusts this based on location.
No, it is not that app.
Does anyone know why this would happen? I am pretty certain it is making me miss calls!
Whenever i get a call the sound is so low i can hardly hear it. Suddenly while in the call a minute or so later the sound becomes clear and i now can hear clearly. This problem does not occur if i call up the same number. I have checked with equalizer, volume boost voodoo and others but the result is the same. I use total recall to auto record all calls could this be the culprit.however i was facing the same problem prior to installing total recall. The recordings are however clear both in speaker mode and headphones. Each time i get a call i ask the other person to hang up and then i call them back. Such a pain. Any comments.
Turn off total recall, and see if the problem goes away.

One of my gripes with the Nexus 6 is the fact that whenever my phone rings it does so in an escalating fashion. Rather than ringing at full volume like a normal device it goes from a low volume and slowly picks up to the loud volume. The same happens with Voice Calls as well on Speaker and it is very frustrating.
Is there anyway I can disable this? Perhaps a mod to disable this system so I can have regular full volume rather than escalating volume? I keep almost missing phone calls due to this, and voice calls have been redundantly frustrating.
I was wondering the same thing!
Hopeful that there will be a rom / kernel that will change this. IIRC, Seems like I remember a tweak on some of the Gnex ones that did it.
I use a app called "Disable Increasing Ring" on my Samsung Note 2.
Don't know if it is working for Nexus 6... (don't have one, but want one)
It's in the Play store

Headset to speaker phone
The volume also does the ascending thing from headset to speaker phone which I'm not really a fan of.
the app
Worked briefly on the Nexus 6 then stopped
Any new info on this going to try the app described above and see if it works for me.
I noticied my z3c have very weak volume when i have incoming calls. My speaker are working good because when i hear music from apps the sound is perfect.
When i try volume in call settings its sound much better then the incoming calls i really don't know why. I have never doing the waterproof test. Is this software or hardware problems? Thx

Same Problem
I've the same problem since nearly 2 weeks. There was an OTA Update (I have buildnr 23.4.A.1.264) but I'm not sure if the problem exists since that.
Can someone help?
