Just a suggestion, but the new Gmail and Google Calendar themes are a beautiful example of clear styling and simplicity. Very much like the original Picasa themes, actually, but have never seen anything like it on Android.
This is obviously a suggestion for a system-wide Android theme that looks like Google+ (ie, the clarity, soft greys, and clear blocks of colour), not an attempt to theme Google+ itself...
Would do it myself but can only draw stick people, and badly at that!

I use themes all the time and my phone has never looked as sexy as it does now thanks to all theme devs.
I have one quirk, all themes look so sexy with one odd ugly looking calender widget on my home screen.
Please..Please.. skin the Calender widget when you release the next version of you skin. All Devs pay attention to search & Music widget but leave the Calender widget.

i was looking through the .apk, and it looks like it would be mostly xml edits to skin the calendar widget.... not 100% sure tho
I agree... The calendar widget looks very awkward on most of these themes.
posted this exact request in Q&A a couple days back, no responses...
I know beagz said he was going to look into this, that's the last I'd heard. I hope someone can make this happen, default widget just doesn't blend with these beautiful themes.
Yes still planning. Had some other requests taking priority

Something dark would be really nice... is it possible to make the text white?

ears burn much? look forward to seeing what you do. I'd love to see something that blends with the hero flip clock or retro widgets but I'm sure whatever you do will look great. Really think someone needs to take the initiative and develop a new calendar widget from scratch, so many possibilities though... now that I think of it, I'd even like a full screen widget, maybe... ahhh who knows.
I like the flip clock idea since so many use it.
Stay tuned. When I do that there will be more than one.
I wish someone would just do a simple skinning of it like how the pictureframe in KSpec Oreo looks... just the border needs a good look the rest can stay the same.

Text color is not a part of the ROM. You can change the color of your text by logging into your google calendar online and on the left should be your calendar name, change that color to what you would like your text color to be and then resync your phone. Text changed!
Please, PLEASE can someone release a set of skins for this!

Check out the "pure Calender" widget. it costs $0.99, but it is SO worth it. There are different sizes to fit with just about any widget setup, and a bunch of different skins so it can blend with almost any theme you want! Also, it shows as many events as will fit on the screen, not just one like the default calendar widget
Who- From: Me To: You.
What- Tron themed Facebook and Twitter widgets.
Why- I want to share something with anyone interested in my work.
Everything Else- I'll keep the apps up-to-date with Facebook and Twitter. The apps themselves are not themed, only the widgets. The icons/Google search widget are from my Tron ADWTheme. (Find it in the Market) I'm not done, what others would you like to see?
Things to remember- The update.zip (it includes both) should work, but Clockwork isn't being very friendly with me. So, I haven't successfully flashed it. One last thing, right now these are only good for phones that support an HDPI resolution. I'll add MDPI support soon.
Enjoy!
If you appreciate my help, I'd appreciate yours.

dude awesome! I saw your pics of these on "Post your Homescreens" glad you're sharing!

No, you're the man!...wait, what?
But really, not a problem. Enjoy.
Any chance the icons be released? I'm not an adw user.
As for other widgets, maybe juice defender and juice plotter?

I'll see what I can do with those widgets. As for the icons, I'm keeping them with ADW for now.
cool. thank you
very cool! i installed ADW just for this :-D
the dollar was worth it.
Hey this is very cool. I must ask though why is the update.zip is needed?
I'd personally like to request an Auto Express Tron Widget, maybe turn the red to black and the black to cyan...assuming you don't change the text color, but if you can manage that, it'd be nice too. I tried messing with this one, but it was over my head. I was going to try what I just said, but couldn't find the images for those parts in the "drawable" folder.
On another note, I did manage to make a Tron Themed Picture Dial Widget. It's not the Pro Version sadly, just the free one, and I modded the second theme in the theme menu to the Tron look (and I only edited the small widget). It'd be awesome if I had the paid version, but oh well. (Pics and DL attached)
(And in the case someone is wondering about my icons or anything, I'm using Go Launcher EX and I just searcher the net for icons for hours and hours)
EDIT: Seems as though it was a glitch in the facebook system, not the modded app, or not the fact that I hadn't updated my facebook widget.
Update????
Hey OP, any chance of getting a Tron Themed Facebook 1.5.4 Widget?
The later facebook versions have chat included, and version 1.3 which we have does not.
I'd love to see an update/hear back from you.
I tried modding it myself, but I failed..... Some of the folders werent the same and all I ended up with was crappy white facebook
EDIT: Now all I get is problem loading Widget
Well i got this theme too - got to say its very clean and great to look at.
I only have one small issue.
The Google search widget does not work - there is no option in the widgets to set the Google search bar to that theme. Just the normal stock theme.
Does anyone have the apk for it ?
thx
I remember a thread on here a while ago where people were theming to get the Windows Phone 7 look. There's now a launcher on the market called Launcher 7 that does most of the work for you, you should check it out.
Sent from my GSBv1.7-ERIS using XDA App
Just tried it out. Its very smooth, and its the best one I have come across.
im enjoying this launcher, its really smooth.

Definitely. If there's one thing that I'd like to see more of on the Market, it's more "alternative" launchers like this. Launcher Pro, ADW, Go, etc. all have their differences, but they're more or less the same in that they're all plays off of the whole multiple homescreen and a dock thing. It's nice to see new ideas out there. I remember a while back there was a launcher that showed all of your texts, email, facebook notifications, etc. in kind of an agenda view. It never really took off, but it's good to see devs think outside the box about the homescreen.

Because thats the core of how android to this point is intended to work. I like Launcher7, its fast, smooth and functional so I play with it here and there but the tile UI is comparatively bland and boring even with widget support (and the custom ones I've seen that arent bland and boring are WAY too busy). I'm gonna put it on my wifes phone since she'll love the big ass simple tiles concept.

without using custom images those 2x1 and 1x1 tiles (and the headphone/camera images) are all there is. I'm not going to spend anytime importing images because I like my android phone as an android phone and it wont get any use anyway. I was basically showing how the UI looks unmolested.
Hi guys,
So I loved Twidroyd when Ubersocial hadn't messed it up. Now I've tried Plume and Tweetcaster which are too ugly for my liking. Also tried twicca which is sweet except for their system of notifying about tweets without downloading them first. Is there any way to get twicca to do that?
Or alternatively, an elegant twitter client or one with decent customizability in terms of appearance would be nice too.
Try fiddling with the Tweet Caster theme. Functionally rich and a great twitter client.

are there other options besides the 4 choices included in the app? couldn't find any on the market
Try Twicca
like i said, i hate the way twicca tells you about notifications without downloading the tweets mentioned.
plume seems second best to twidroyd so far. ubersocial just plain sucks
How about tweetdeck??

so you want it to tell you have a new mention and actually show the mention in the notification panel or something?
ive tried all the twitter clients and twicca is by far the overall best - atleast to me. it has the cleanest interface as it not being all cluttered with extra unneeded stuff on the screen and also being able to color code your followers is nice too. after twicca i would say tweetdeck would be in 2nd.
Those are pretty much it for Android twitter apps, gonna have to suck it up.. I personally use Twicca & Seesmic... Best bet is to learn how to develop apps and make one to your liking
i just use the twitter app?? it does everything fine.

i settled on plume premium. it works. what i meant was that it should have updated the app with the new tweets when it notifies me of updates, not wait for me to click on the notification, then load the app, then load the tweets.
plume premium comes close to what twidroyd used to be before ubersocial killed it. (damn you ubermedia)
POLYCON
Polycon is a beautiful Material inspired icon pack. Polycon started as a very simple and bland icon pack but as I progressed my skills in design and iconography. I have had the opportunity to completely revamp the icon pack and make it what it is today.
Polycon is also very popular among other icon packs and it makes me happy when people use it on their devices. If you have any feedback or icon suggestions, feel free to email me or post in this thread.

Thank you and I am very serious about the free if charge part. The only way I will ever receive funds via this app will be if someone wishes to donate. Other than that, no ads and free of charge.
@TheArc great icon pack, must say :good: for that
i feel that there are very less icons in it, considering it in beta stage i feel icons are less. Anyways what has been achieved so far is very good looking

I only started it about a week ago, and they have been school days so things are tough. It takes time to make icons, because I would like the icons to be as good as possible.
But thanks for your kind words, I'm happy to see that people like this.

Loving it so far. Will definitely be one of my favorite icon packs when the icon representation covers my basics at least.
Keep up the good work and don't hesitate to make a donate version at some point.

Thank you for your kind words my friend, I honestly don't think I need to make a donation version as I have a donation section on the app itself. I've put it all the way at the bottom so people aren't forced to doing so.

What's new in this version?
Introducing a new, flat and materialized user interface, not only that, I have redesigned all 64 icons from the previous versions. These icons now follow my own guidelines mixed with Google's guidelines.
