"Finding update package, Opening update package, verifying update package,

I am running on Android 2.2
Bandbase version 32.41.00.32U_5.08.00.04

It's because you got the phone from videotron of vodafone. I can tell because of your build number it means that you can't update because your are on a carrier tweaked ROM for instructions on how to get back to stock see wiki http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Nexus_One/Guides_%26_Tutorials#Unroot_.2F_Restore_your_Nexus after you follow this tutorial you will be on frg33 then you can update what ever your want from there.

Thanks so much. I shall try that and let you know if it worked or not. Thanks so much for the info.

Thank you both for this thread. I bought a Nexus One off of eBay recently and it must have come from the same batch. I had the same build number and could not update manually or otherwise.
Minutes after I installed the stock firmware, the phone was automatically updating to 2.3.4.
I am a happy camper now.

[HELP] Revert to 0.33.0012 SPL

Hi all,
I foolishly flashed the Korean FRF91 onto my N1 and now I have SPL 0.35.0017 instead of the normal 0.33.0012 version.
To downgrade, I have tried:
- repacking the 0.33.0012 HBOOT into an update.zip (Looks like it worked, but it didn't)
- Flashing 0.33.0012 through FASTBOOT (Verification failed)
- Applying an older Google update (Main version is older)
Any ideas?
Thanks!

OK, I think that worked...
But now my N1 has an HTC logo on the screen for FASTBOOT.

Probably because the link given by baseballkyle is in the "HTC Desire" section of the modaco forum, not nexus one.
Yes,
I would also appreciate an explanation on how you did it.
I tried it but it didn't work for me.
The hboot.img doesn't work. If I try a zip version it seems that the device accepts it and flash it but i keep having the wrong version installed.
Could you explain how you made the mtd0.img (with which numbers) and provide a link to the hboot version that worked for you?
PLs Help Also
Pls tell us also how u did it, thanks..

I have posted instructions here.
Great!!!
The key was applying the hboot file through the PASSIMG.ZIP and not just alone.
Fantastic.
Thanks a lot
nexus Hboot
What happen if I install the korean hboot. Because everybody is complaining about it. They want to return back to stock Hboot.
Though that hboot is newer currently all the signed firmwares (original ones, CM6, and whoever provide signed builds) check that the hboot version installed in the phone is 0.33.2012.
If you don't have that one then you will not be able to install any of this firmwares directly.
With some manual work you can make it happened but forget about OTA updates (stock OTA updates, CM-updater OTA updates, Rom Manager OTA updates).
If you don't care about that then you are fine.
help
i cant install any ota update can someone please help i went to erd 79 hoping that would fix everything
So what is the correct hboot version to use? I currently have 0.33.0012

FRG83 to FRG83D

Currenty on FRG83, trying to get to FRG83D, so I can then get to FRG83G, so I can then get to GRI40. When I try to apply the update.zip for FRG83D I get an error:
assert failed: apply_patch_check ("/system/framework/am.jar", "e2880543cE:unknown command [b0690337bf9d48f42e9a6b2be628519",]
E:Error in /sdcard/frg83d.zip

Any help? Much appreciated.

Amon 2.1.1
arent you supposed to name the thing "update.zip" or something?
Exact same problem here! Anyone have any ideas?
Isn't the at&t n1 different to the t-mob one? Different firmware #'s etc, think only the tmob firmware's have been released...

With Amon recovery you don't NEED to. For the hell of it I tried it, still the same issue.
flash with non rooted rom 1st then try to update
Gonna try this to get to FRG83G:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11618655&postcount=209
Performing that process to get to FRG83G worked, I was then able to use the OTA for Gingerbread to get to 2.3.3. Thanks everyone.

[Q] Can't Update from 2.2.1 to 2.3.4

When I go to System Updates it lists an update to Gingerbread MR2 but it says download failed and when I select Retry download it still fails.
Yes I have internet connection and I read somewhere that if the phone has the bootloader unlocked then this update won't download.
Can someone expand on this or point me in the right direction on how to get the phone updated.
thanks
kind regards
Is your bootloader unlocked? If so flash a custom rom instead

Phone is unlocked and rooted.
Also its S-ON, dont know how to turn it OFF.
Android system recovery <3e>
Also have tried with Android 2.2.1 and 2.3.6
//Cannot turn S-OFF. Using Revone.
Coming error:
Failed to map memory.
Im having HBOOT 0.35.0017
You can`t install other ROM becouse you are S-ON !
You can flash ROMs when s-on, you first need to flash a custom recovery via fastboot then flash ROM in recovery
You want be able to flash any larger ROMs as you can't change partition layout.
Best option is to use blackrose to gain s-off and then change partition layout to fit ROM of choice then flash recovery and then ROM of choice

Cruz I'm noob can u link how to s-off
Better yet just use the search function with keyword

Unlocked XT1092 German version now unable to do OTA

I've a XT 1092 bought in Germany, now it is:
Andriod version: 5.0
System version: 22.21.19.victara_retde.retdeall.en.DE.retde
Build number: LXE22.46-19
What I've done on it:
1, Unlock,Root
2, Being unable to do OTA, download a German version of 5.0, recovery to this 5.0 through fastboot
Now there is always system update notification on the cell phone, so I download it automatically and try to update it.
Then the little robot appears and updating process starts.
But it failed every time, after power on the phone, it just says no change was made.
I enter the fastboot mode on phone through volume down and power button, and it says:
Device is unlocked. status code: 3
Software status: modified.
How could I successfully do an OTA?
Why it still says modified even after I recovered the phone to a stock version 5.0?
Many thanks, and wish you all a Merry Christmas!

To successfully do OTA, your system must fully unmodified, this including no custom recovery, unrooted, stock boot logo, etc. So, if your system only rooted, you have to unroot first. Or the easiest way, just flash the stock system and recovery image, then perform OTA.

thanks for your replay.
my x2 is now on a German version 5.0, and unlocked.
i think it is unrooted, but truth be told the last step I had taken before running into this OTA issue was returning the rooted phone to 5.0 by fastboot.
so now I'm even not sure weather it is rooted or not.
I've tried the steps regarding below method with stock ROM, hoping it can return to stock status and be ok to do OTA.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-2014/general/guide-return-to-stock-official-status-t3274121
Question: is this what you've suggested "flash the stock system and recovery image"?
but when i access the bootloader, it stays the same as before, and says:
device is unlocked. status code: 3
software status: modified.
then I put the zip stock ROM into phone, and tried to do OTA on phone both with original name and modified name(update.zip)
But after selecting the ROM in recovery, it says:
qe 1/1
--install/data/media/0/update.zip...
finding update package..
opening update package...
verifying update package...

all the thing i want is being able to to OTA, I have searched some threads both on domestic forum in China and on XDA
but no one works.
thanks in advance.

Why would you want to do an OTA?
Just grab the newest ROM and flash it.
I've seen a 6.0 XT1092 ROM somewhere on these forums.

Did you flashed 5.1 or 5.1 based custom rom previously like cm12. 1?
I'm facing the same problem. Did you get any solution?
