HTC HD7 3000 mah
Any one can tell how long it will last?
wirelessground.com/htc-hd7-extended-high-capacity-battery
I want to buy one but Im hesitated
PS the site start with ws and end with html
dont buy from there you can find them cheaper..i ordered one of ebay for $15 and it should be in tomorrow
http://goo.gl/HrGP5
Bought one from this ebay account 3500 mAH same size a little more live, battery does work except for the fact that the phone itself uses data like crazy. phone last me like 16 of continuous usage without data being turned on
Does it make the back of the case bulge at all?
Beware of batterys made in China that claim to be 3500mAh! for a small price.
You might find they are re-labelled ordinary batterys that can cause faults.
You need a close-up exam on those Chinese-made batts to make sure of Everything. I live in this hell.

I'd listen to this guy if I were you, fake faulty batteries are very common.
Im still using the Mugen battery. I use my phone the entire day. Wifi, location, faster gps, xbox live.. everything turned on.. i talk more than 4hrs a day, keep texting, youtube etc. never have to recharge the phone. Amazing battery. i had a problem with it once. sent it to mugen and they sent me back a new one. ^^
Dumb me opened a post in general

Anyways pictures there if you guys wanna have a look, I don't feel like using it though as I rarely use my HD7 but just bought it in case I decide to use it for longer period

you really should carry one extra battery with you. no 3000mah, too thick and make HD7 totally a brick, better works forr self defense....

Hi guys i have seen a few different posts about the extended battery with the lager cover and came across this site i dont know if it has already been posted already because i cant find it so if double post to this site sorry if not may be of interest

i have never ordered from this site but for a battery with nearly 2x the power storage for £14.98 + post seems a pretty good deal to me will be Pre Ordering and will post a mini review of the battery once I have had it going for a day or 2
Nice find. I'm sure a lot of people would be interested in this. Any idea what the battery cover is made of? I'm spoilt by the metal cover already.
The official HTC extended battery is downright ugly. Though if you don't care about the aesthetic look of your phone, having 2200mAh does sound good.

am not too sure if its metal like the original or something different but as soon as i know ill update in the post
why cant they bring out extended battery that is normal size??? lol
i'd like to see a "mega" battery with a stepped design that goes all the way to the bottom, and has 6000mah. for trips, camping, etc. add a solar panel to it even better.
I'll be waiting closely for the review on this battery. Keep us all posted!
the official htc battery 2200 mah at price of 49 usd, this one is only 14 pounds, it is maybe unusable, isnt it?
yea - 2200mAH would be an option - my HD2 drains the battery too fast - less then 1 day the battery keeps my HD2 on life,...

Less than one day is about average for most smartphones under normal use. Same with the Hermes, Kaiser, iPhone, etc.

This is really nice. I would definitely go for this official battery once its out there. No matter what size my HD2 will have afterwards the cover is definetely an eye catcher on the top.
Or Spend an extra fiver and get a cradle with it, able to charge both phone and spare battery. Not Bad value for £19.99
I can't post links (new member) but it's on the same website. Here is a screencap of the web link.
I'm ordering this at the end of the month so will post about it soon.
EDIT:- Could a MOD please take the weblink restriction off me please. Thanks

But the whole point is that if you are out and about you don't have access to a cradle! And if you are using your HD2 in the car for satnav, it still drains slightly as most chargers do not supply enough power to run the program and recharge the machine. Hence the bigger battery is very useful. Also, I do not want to be regularly taking the back off to replace the battery so a spare is not for me. The phone is just not designed for it, unlike my cameras which make it easy to swap batteries.
I do think that the fold out stand on the HTC big battery is a piece of ridiculous style over function. How long before that breaks, and who is likely to use it - the phone is a handheld, after all. I have never thought - "oh i wish i could prop this up on something on my desk".

I think you could argue that it is function rather than style. AT worst, function AND style. Definitely not style over function.
I for one think this feature would be great when travelling on a train/plane and you want to watch a tv program or movie on the handset.
So, i was wondering.
Since the battery life of the HD2 is sort of disappointing i wanted to look for an extended battery.
Now, i came across an ebay item and i'd like your opinion;
Here is the subject in question: E-Bay HD2 1500mAh Battery
Do you guys think it is
a) Truly 1500Mah
b) Truly standard size
still in doubt as of to purchase that battery, thats why i want to ask the opinion of the community.
Cheers
This battery looks interesting but not sure whether the size is the same as stock battery so that the metal cover can close nicely?
i just bought it! for seven dollars (~£4.50 GBP) i think its worth a shot! will report back when/if i get it!

To the OP: thanks for the tip!
BTW Mugen also makes extended batteries - though not for the HD2 yet - that have a greater capacity and a standard fit, so ... it is possible (if not, a spare battery for 5 euro is always usefull)

Noone seem to notice the mfg date on that battery is 3months before the HD2 was even available worldwide?
Then again, it's only $7 bucks...
I dont believe this battery his really 1500mah... I have bought some other batteries on ebay to digital cameras who 'supposely' had bigger capicity, but in reality their time was much shorter than the one that came to the camera. I believe this should be the case...
Please feedback if the 1500mAh battery is long lasting?

I checked c Manufacture Factory for this battery, It made in china , I found wrong record for it in chinese wesite. So don't believe it.

On all previous HTC phones I could stick a microSD and simcard side by side on top of battery and cover would still fit perfectly. I can not do that with Leo so am interested to see how it fits.

He does take care of his business, that must be said.
I have always been of the opinion that cheap batteries from anywhere risk giving you a lot of pain, either physical pain from the device melting/blowing up/dieing in your hand or emotional pain from the device melting/blowing up/dieing in your hand (but you not being hurt)
Poorly manufactured batteries have a tendency of doing the above and is it really worth the risk for an extra 250mAh?
Edit: And to emphasise my point - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=614240
so a few of you may remember I took the plunge and bought an ebay extended battery. I'm here to report that not only do they work, they work great! I used my phone from 8 AM yesterday to about 2 AM and it still had about 20% left!!! And I was using GPS, phone calls, heavy internet browsing application installing, and more. Not to mention I just got the thing so it's probably not even broken in yet. The back is extended out a bit, but really it actually feels more solid than the standard cover. I'm 100% satisfied... for $15 shipped this is 1000000% worth it!
This is the battery I bought, it's 2000 mAh, so it needs an extended cover which this seller included with the order. I actually made a mistake and bought the P3050 version I guess it's GSM? Not sure exactly, but it didn't fit, so I emailed him and he mailed out the proper one for the Sprint CDMA version. If you email him, he should be able to help, nice guy.

Berardi,
That's a great news.
I'll get one, if I need a new battery.
My standard battery life is now much better than before. Last weekend, I used a golf rangefinder (GPS for yardage). My battery died right after I hit my 2nd shot to the 18th green.
can you take a picture of the back at a different angle?
From the picture it looked aweful... like a step and then flat on the top part
For now i've been leaving my phone charged most of the time and carrying aspare battery rather than an extended one but with the use of GPS/BT/ Internet i can hardly squeeze more than 5-6 hrs before i have to replace or charge mine...
I wish the Extended batter can "blend" in more with the phone rather than the protuding and funny looking cover ...

GPS definitely drains the battery like no other. I use my phone pretty heavily, not extremely heavy on GPS like you would with golf rangefinder, but I can't imagine you being able to drain this thing in less than a few hours. Compared to my 1500 mah Seidio, a Japanese brand battery that is supposedly a very good brand, this is a pretty large increase. I'd give it a shot I would buy from this guy if I were you, he's good about responding to emails and fixing problems. Like I said, I bought the wrong version accidentally and he fixed it for me.

Yeah it does stick out about maybe 3/8 of an inch? But truthfully, it feels more solid in my hands when I'm typing and using it. I don't know if it's because the old back cover was so beat up, or if it's actually that the extra back makes it fit better in my hand, it just seems to fit better. Here I took some pics.
http://picasaweb.google.com/berardi1111/ExtendedBattery?feat=directlink
It does stick out in the battery area and not the top area and a small area not sticking out at the bottom, but it really doesn't bother me in the least. I've used mostly larger phones in the past, like the Mogul so I'm used to a larger size and prefer it actually. YMMV but I'm extremely satisfied

It should be heavier than the 1230 one. On my goold old Nokia battery I felt a significant difference between a 860 and a 1020 one while holding them both in hand.

They can't be the same weight. It's obviously a chinese re-hash or an original 1230 battery. I am 90% sure it's not genuine 1500 but miracles do happen.. Let us know
This is why I started this thread. The minute I opened the box I thought it was the same battery.
Its actually the same part number as the battery that came with the phone.
Just disputed the charge with Paypal.
Received this email just now.
The Manufacturer advertised the battery as a 1500mAH battery, we're
contacting them to see if this was an done in error. There are no other
batteries available for the HD7 and HTC has never made an extended battery
that does not require a separate (larger) battery door.
If you would like, we can send you a return label for the item and a full
refund once the item is received. Or if you would like, we can offer you a
20% discount on the battery.

it is not same part..almost yes check the last 3 letters , on the hd7 original is 00m and on the knock off is o1m
Sounds like the exact same problem as with the HD2, lots of unofficial "1500 mAh" batteries that turned out to be fake. And isnt it a bit strange that these batteries are already available for such a new device? Best to wait for Seido or Mugen Power or other trusted companies to come out with an extended battery, that way you know you are getting what you are paying for.
I wonder if they will be able to make a larger one without the need of a new back-case.It's a signifficant difference from 1230 to 1500 but it might just work to keep the original case.
I am not a fan of those batteries because you have a high chance of damaging your phone or in extreme rare casses going boom. I know Mugen have managed to build a strong reputation for quality but while on an N900 for example a bigger case might work , on the HD7 it would look just wrong
My 2 cents
is the part number of your orginal battery 35H00123-00m? thanks in advance,

Dude, the link doesn't look like it ships to Singapore.
is this the "fat" one that needs a new back case?
I picked one up from Amazon. Fits perfectly and I noticed a huge increase over my original battery. I went from 3-4 hours of heavy use to 6-9 hours of heavy use. Definitely worth the $12 (shipping included). I can easily go all day now with moderate use (3push email accounts, FB, Twitter, and Link'dIn all synced).

Hi...since you have the battery..
I wanted to ask you. Is the same size as the current/default HD7 battery ??
Meaning will I need a bigger back battery case for this ? which will result in a bulge ??
I hope you understand what I mean.
It fits with stock case. I order one thru Amazon 1350 but the one that got shipped was a 1300.
And how high is the battery life with this battery as the original battery is a 1250mAh and this being 1350 ??
Anyone with a detailed analysis...please respond !

The battery fits as the stock one does. You don't need the back with "the bulge."
Mine was sold as 1350mah but the actual battery says 1300mah. Regardless, my battery life has increased. I would say on average I get about 25% longer life out of it. I usually get 5-9 hours of moderate to heavy use and 3 push emails, Facebook and Twitter use, lots of text, and an hour or so use of voice calls. I use to get 3-5 hours of use.
cool i nee dhelp. can some one help me deliver to singapore from US.

Hello everyone, my reports on this anker battery. It is advertised on amazon as 1350mah but in fact it is only 1300mah. I have turned off every synchronization there is and also locations are turned off. Data and wifi are constantly ON. I am quite a heavy whatsapp user and I used to only be able to get about half a days usage(this was on stock mango rom). However, so far, I am able to get through a full day without charging with about 15% left at night (9am to 9pm). Not impressive but definitely a big difference.
However, I can't really tell if it is the custom ROM I am using that is causing such a big difference in battery life or just that my battery.

Hey Magpir, I'm from Singapore too and I got it delivered to me. You need to use either VPOST or Borderlinx (that's if you have a citibank credit card). Personally I have only used borderlinx and they have been pretty good. Not sure about VPOST.

Hey Magpir, I'm from Singapore too and I got it delivered to me. You need to use either VPOST or Borderlinx (that's if you have a citibank credit card). Personally I have only used borderlinx and they have been pretty good. Not sure about VPOST.
