It's possible. search for nitrality on the market and you can install the s 2 email widget through that.

Most if not all will require some dependencies from their original manufacturer is overlay...so it would require some work to get it to work...

Depends I don't think Motorola's will work. But I've used a touch wiz and galaxy nexus messaging app on my phone and it worked

I don't think there is, you can always trying grabbing a copy and push it with adb, just because the market won't display some apps doesn't mean you can't install them
