Hello Everyone!
First Thanks to everyone who worked, working & will work on Android Development, specially for XPERIA X1.
And Thanks everyone who wants to help his/her friends in this big community that I learned a lot from.
The Purpose of this thread is listing all the apps that work properly on the X1.
Because as you know we have some hardware & software limitations in X1's Android such as:
Hardware: lack of accelerometer, compass & capacitive touchscreen; slow cpu ,etc. Software: lack of excellent drivers ,power management issue, etc.
So a list may be useful.
Then if you're agree, Let's start.
Please Don't list the names only. It would be better to include: A short explanation about the app or game & version number, the build you are using, the kernel you're using, how it works for you (for example laggy or smooth), & everything you think is necessary to run it & everything you think necessary to say.
I will try to keep the list updated.
Thanks

I like the idea. Let me start:
Doodle Jump (game) - game works smoothly, you just have to disable "Tilt" in options. Last time tested with 28-09-2010 CyanogenMod build + latest xdandroid kernel.
Fennec (web browser) - after waiting 5 minutes for fennec to start, interface showed up, but device froze (i had to do soft reset). Not recommended. Last time tested with 27/9 Tremere's Froyo.
Aldiko (eBook reader) - interface is little slow and sluggish, but it works without problems. Even functions like brightness control and turning pages with volume buttons. Last time tested with 28-09-2010 CyanogenMod build + latest xdandroid kernel.
Dolphin HD (web browser) - speed is about the same as stock android browser. It works fine. Last time tested with SuperFroyo build.
3d games working with CyanMod 6 (03.10.10):
fruit ninja-perfectly
ninja kaka-a lil bit worse
gangstar (gta analog)-perfectly
sandstorm-like on iPhone, smoooooth
N.O.V.A by Gameloft-having some lags
about 21 fps in each game i tested.
hey, yesterday i noticed an interesting fact- some android games which require accelerometer can be played on xperia without it (like Doodle Jump which we can try disabling "tilt")!!
plz someone test some of accelerometer games!)

You means "Gangstar: West Coast Hustle" ? Anybody can confirm that? This game is awesome, I'd like to play if it is playable "perfectly" on Xperia
yes, it works perfectly

Someone other than you can confirm that?
I have problems with installing CM6.
Besides i've tested GameBoid. It Works perfectly.
I haven't tested 3D games yet.
yeees gameboid works)
gangstar works FOR ME perfectly
i am not responsible if it works on other person's CyanMod for x1
Hi there people.
As I'm interested in using android on my xperia, I just wanted to know how people manage to run 3d applications like N.O.V.A or Gangstar ?
I'm using Cyanogen Mod 6.0, that supports 3D(hope so).I wanted to know how people launch
3D games, because I could only run the 3D Racer from android market.Any other game I try to launch doesnt succeed (loading, black screen, error).
Thanks, and sorry for bad English.
Gameboid, Snesoid, Nesoid and Gensoid work well with Trememer's new build.
It works **** on Cyanogen. I wouldn't compare the two builds in performance but in terms of gaming tremere's>cyanogen

I also have the same problem on [CyanogenMod6 Update 03-10-2010] and [Barebone][CM6.1][11-10-2010] too. But I've just downloaded SD Files for each game and copy on SD card to gameloft folder, maybe we have to download additional files via WiFi and it will work? Unfortunately I don't have free WiFi connection :/ I also try Gameloft Game Launcher, but it didn't help for me. Maybe someone write a tutorial how to launch this games? We would be very grateful. Regards
Sorry for my english.
hi,
I tried The 3d talking tom cat,first time it didn't work,but after rebooting,it worked but a little laggy(low fps)
but i think in CM6 3d working it should work smoothly with good fps.

i used it in neopeek's froyo(12/sep/2010 version)
Hi there people,
Today i tried to install gameloft's real footbal 2010, and its working, but its too lagy i mean its running but with 8-12 frames per second.
30.10.2010. Tried NFS Shift, and its working, but without the g sensor it is not playable.

Can you upload some videos how you play that games? I tried million times, but any 3D game from gameloft doesn't work :/
Using "finally usable" release ( can't remember actual name right now)
Paper toss - Bad framerate. Animations are far from smooth, but still playable.
Angry birds - weird "scanlines" appear randomly. Also game won't respond when i start (or I just don't know how to play)
What about puting gathered data to first post?
Sent from my FRG83 by Neopeek using XDA App
I dont know if any of you guys have played with the new flashback honeycomb or not but the latest update as far as i could see, is just that it has a flashplayer apk now. So of course if you have your honeycomb setup beautifuly on your gtab.............why would you want to reflash it just for that right? anywho i just tried it in illuminate and it works perfectly here's a link to JUST the modded flash player. it fixed and has now made honeycomb my daily driver
http://fileape.com/dl/veumV7066g6YWyO1
as flashbacks post says in the dev section
"(a4.2)
Added a EXPERIMENTAL FlashPlayer by zebwen. This unfortunately does not fix flash video playback on most sites (YouTube and BBC iPlayer do not work for example, but the small videos on the Yahoo news website do). What this DOES fix, is most other Flash applications, such as web games etc. Using this patched version of Flash, Kongregate Arcade works correctly, as well as other apps such as Zoodles Kid Mode that use flash within the application to play games."
or just install the normal flash player from the market and use opera that works toooo
huh? in flashback honeycomb simply by using opera and flash 10.3 I can get all the flash videos? I thought flash 10.3 was not working on honeycomb?
I have not flashed to any honeycomb alphas yet strictly due to flash video issue.
works with just installing normal flash and using opera, which means its a webkit issue, mind you the video has tearing in it because of drivers (so im told) but definately working
I use the matket flash 10.3 and the dolphin HD browser and it plays all flash videos like youtube on desktop mode and all flash games, facebook apps too. Most browsers out there dont support flash idk why, though i know the default browser supports flash too but lacks add ons anf so on. Using CMT 7
this is about honeycomb dude...not everything else
Dolphin Browser HD works, but need to set the user agent at IPad in setting
It worked for me when watching BBC video.
I'm running vegan tab gingerbread edition and flash works great, can play video through browser even with the default flash app found through the market. But I was wondering if its possible to get quality over 480P?
Thanks
Flash performance
I don't know of any Android devices that can credibly play flash videos in a browser at resolutions higher than 480p; some not even that dense. This has more to do with the underlying .flv format and Adobe's code implementation of Flash than with the device. My Galaxy Tab 10.1 will just barely do 480p inside a browser window - maybe 10-15 FPS if the content has substantial movement. But it can play it's own 720p videos at full frame rate without issue.
Part of the problem is, Android is an operating system, not a platform in the way that iOS+iPad hardware is. This leaves every phone and tablet manufacturer free to choose from a variety of processor and video implementations. This is one of the things I like most about Android - choice, and freedom (as in speech). But like any freedom, this one comes at a price, and that is the need for software developers to support a wide range of hardware implementations. This is not much of a problem for Angry Birds, but it is a huge problem for Adobe because the decoding of flash video is computationally intensive.
If Flash was open source the community would solve the problem, in the same way that the Linux Kernel runs on many platforms today. But the codecs involved in Flash (VP6, Sorenson H.263, H.264) are all protected by patent, and that makes open source a non-viable solution.
Adobe has not done a great job implementing Flash video for Android, in part I think because they know the war is already lost. The number of iPads in the wild (pushing 20 million this year, I think) and Apple's refusal to run Flash means that alternate solutions like HTML5 and custom video apps (think Hulu Plus or Netflix) will be developed no matter what Adobe does. So why pour money down a black hole?
Hopefully this will get better, as I would like to be able to watch 720p video on my 720p device using Flash. But I just don't think it is going to happen.
HTC sensation and Samsung galaxy s2 working 1080p plays video youtube....
My Samsung captivate with apex 9.3 with talon kernel can play 1080p on YouTube with dolphin hd. But my g tablet can only 720 poorly. But with Mx player I can watch 720p mkv,Avi, and mp4 no problem.
Edit: With Calkulin+Clemsyn 1.5ghz Froyo Combo 1.2 version 6, I was able to watch hd reviews on gametrailers. Even non overclocked using dolphin hd and latest flash from market.
I found this cruising through the HP Touchpad forum here on XDA. Someone got Hulu working with this modded Adobe Flash Player file and there is a hulu apk also ported from an HTC Evo but it sucks. App is too small for our screen and full-screen doesn't center. But you can load and watch videos from your browser. I couldn't before, don't know about anyone else.. It seems to work pretty good on the Revo. I don't know who created this to give them props, but it wasn't me so no crying if it doesn't work for you
forgot the important part.. uninstall your Adobe Flash Player and install the one in the thread below.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1355783
*Netflix will force close, just uninstall and reinstall from market.
Finally! Been waiting so long for this
Sweet thanks!

That's good to know Stock & Firefox work with this fix and no JB isn't supposed to run Flash at all by the looks of it thats why you can't find it in the Android Market
I know a few browsers it does all flash using the original flash player not the one modified on here. The browsers are the Boat Browser, Ninesky browser, UC Browser for tablets and I think the Maxthon browser as well work with flash browser but none of them works launching it to full screen.
I know for a fact I did use to own a Sony Xperia V which had an 4.3 inch screen with Jelly Bean which works when launch to full screen so I know it the problem trying work with a 5 inch screen is the problem.
Gold work thanks
Would this work with Galaxy s4 stock browser?? (since Samsung modifies the browser)
Afraid of flashing this, as might bootf**k my device...
for 4.1x
use
flash player 115.58
with boat browser set to automatically launch
you will have full screen and full screen control
enjoy !!
