Hi all, I've just flash fugumod and at the end of the process I plug off the usb cable. The phone went into a cycle of trying to ignite, in which the display changes to fish fugumod galaxy white letters s. Then I ****ed and I tried to flash the rom JVQ but does not move the bar of odin. Please if anyone knows what should I do to help me thanks.
Can you enter the recovery menu?
Did you tried to do a factory reset before flashing?
Did you by any chance flash FuguMOD Ultra on RFS partitions (without lagfix enabled)?
Thanks for both of you. Finally I solved it by reflashing stock kernel. I dont know for what but my phone has very problems with fugomod kernel so I decided to change the kernel. Bye dudes!

Thanks for the info, I,ve had flashed JVQ 2.3.4 deodex ROM and I've been flashing fugumod when I have the problem. Finally I fixed it reflashing the stock kernel.

Then i guess u used ultra bleeding edge. This doesn't work when system is on rfs. Read the original post to make it work.
OK I'm in a good mood. Flash the normal version. Boot. Get fugu app from market. Use it to convert system to ext4 or jfs. Reboot. Get sgs kernel flasher from market. Get latest fugu kernel bleeding edge ultra. Flash kernel with sgs kernel flasher. Done.

Hi, I have a rooted galaxy tab. I recently just installed a custom rom and after, it doesn't boot anymore? It only stucks at the boot screen. May I know what's the issue here? Is it a brick or something? Any helps appreciated. Tks!
it sounds like a soft brick, which isn't too bad at all Just switch your tab over to Download Mode and then flash another ROM that is confirmed working on your device.
A hard brick would be if your tab didn't power on in any way at all no matter what, and that would be pretty bad :/
Hi, tks for ur reply! Do u mind telling me where to download those roms? Tks once again!

Hi! I managed to get my rom on samfirmware.com and even flashed it via odin. But one thing, it managed to go the boot screen but then it doesn't move at the "samsung" glowing screen after that. Did I do anything wrong?
Your best bet will be to restock according to Overcome method.

You may have a corrupted /dbdata. If that's true, no matter how many new ROMs or firmwares you install, it won't help you.
This should take care of your problem:

I installed overcome kernel with many other rom before moving to redpill (because of bluetooth keyboard compatibility). It works great with most of rom 2.3.3 and 2.3.6 base. Don't hesitate to try the kernel with other rom.
Btw, did you try pushing new pit file through odin?

Hello,
Right now, my Galaxy Note is running a rooted version Samsung ICS:
Android Version: 4.0.3
Baseband Version: N7000XXLPT
Kernel Version: 3.0.150N7000XXLPY-CL474507
Build Number: IML74K.XXLPY
I'd like to try CM10, but I've been reading a lot of issues from people flashing ROMs from Samsung ICS. What would be the safest way to install CM10? Should I downgrade to a Samsung Gingerbread ROM first? What procedure would you guys recommend?
Thanks,
Tiago
It is important to downgrade first to samsung stock GB.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JO93XJ2C8pc&feature=plcp
Follow his instructions to a tee and you should be good to go.
The youtube video is courtesy of aphroditelikesme(all credits to the dude, as I constantly subscribed to his youtube videos)
Don't forget to hit the 'Thank's button if I have helped you in some way or the other.
Thanks a lot!
But should I flash a stock Samsung GB ROM or a rooted GB ROM? Should I use CWM or Odin to flash GB?

you can flash the pre rooted GB rom by Chainfire...then flash the cf kernel....do a full wipe and then just flash CM10. Find the procedure here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331784
Go to section 1.3 and u find the way....hope it helps....:good:
Flash it to stock GB
here's the other link for the video.. again all courtesy to the creator of that video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jr3DDEh8vyc
There's also the links of the ROM (choose checkROM GB or RocketROM) and the kernel you need to download.
Just follow his video bud, (I'm following his video for flashing roms and I never miss going back to this video to downgrade to GB)
Cheers!
I see. So flashing Abyss kernel from Samsung ICS (LPY kernel) using CWM is actually safe? I just want to be sure because I've seen many people advising not to use CWM at all if you are on a Samsung ICS ROM.
abysskernel is not an infected kernel, that is why mostly when your going to downgrade to gingerbread.. most flashers will tell you to flash first to abysskernel then flash the GB rom after.

OK, I flashed Abyss kernel (worked fine), rebooted recovery, made a full wipe, flashed Rocket ROM and rebooted the system. I see the boot animation, but after that, nothing happens (blank screen). I've waited over 5 minutes, but the ROM doesn't boot. Anything else I can try?
I'm f*cking tired of explaining this over and over again...MY GOD!! You could've just read the CM9 installation instructions, CHECKED OUT THE STICKIES, ANYTHING LIKE THAT!
THE ONLY 100% SAFE WAY TO GET RID OF AN INFECTED KERNEL IS TO FLASH TO GB THROUGH PC ODIN!! Why the F*CK does everyone prefer to flash abyss and take that risk...!?
IF!! You're confident that RocketRom flashed correctly, you could probably full wipe (AGAIN) from recovery (you'd be on a safe kernel) and that should solve your problem...
Wait for a 2nd opinion though...

when you directly revert from v7, the phone will not boot properly.. so you need to use the revert zip file.. flash that first and then the new kernel.
how will I reinstall hydracore v7??
as you do any other kernel...

yes.. then you need to first flash the revert zip and then the philz kernel..

Which ROM would you guys recommend, which would solve the phone restarting issue I have with the S5830i?
It may possibly be a Rafael kernel issue as people have experienced this on various ROMs including stock. I'd recommend upgrading to the latest kernel and trying out stock or stock deodexed ROM to see if that fixes it because obviously stock ROM is the most stable.

I forgot to say its full reboots when dialing or during calls that is the suspected Rafael kernel issue so if it doesn't fit that description maybe its not the same problem.
